No. It's April. That's a bad season for snowmen.
CAN WE PLAY HANGMAN?

YOU LACK THE DISCIPLINE TO COMPETE WITH ME IN THIS TRIAL OF WORDS.
Eagerly waiting for this to start. I've got several hours before class, so please feel free to bother me with requests for mapwork, flagwork, or discussion via PM between now and then.
Oh hey, the big arena not-necessarily-death fight! Fabulous; I guess I'll devote section of my post to that as well.

I'm thinking about how to determine who the winner would be. I honestly may try to work out a quick, easy system of "advantages vs. disadvantages" + dice rolls, much like I did in certain wars Zaqir was involved in. It'd be nice to be able to know what direction the Almurzani will take either A) as we go along or B) before we start.

And yeah, I'm looking forward to using the not-necessarily-death fights as a means of working with politics, deciding what war to pursue, possibly getting my leader assassinated, etc.
Ya know, I've noticed just how skewed setting up matches will end up being if I am supposed to host em.

West Coast here. Most folks here are probably east coast/europe, which means my optimal time of playing in the evening (I'm very, very busy during the day and probably couldn't sustain this then) will land into many people's nights and mornings. Oops. Combined with lack of flexibility I have a feeling I'd either need the luck to have folks be able to squeeze in at my wonked time or we might need to drop the game aspect due to logistical issues, though the BT concept itself would still stand.

I figured something like this might go down. Knowing what time zone everyone is in would help.

I'm in U.S. Central. We've got at least one person in Europe (Zoro). You're West Coast.

But yes, arranging times for everyone to be around will be a challenge. It's doable, I'll bet. Folks find miraculous ways to be awake at the right time when their hobbies are concerned. But it'd be a challenge.

One thing you could do, potentially, is create two groups for games: one based in Europe and one based in the Americas.
Take that back, you sumbitch! I'll beat you with my TADIGAM until you can't even TADIGAM your TADIGAM anymore :)

Click it. See what I mean.

I'm being repressed.
Circlejerks, where you ever only see one side of an argument and the participants pretend it's a discussion.

I sometimes worry I do this. It's very easy to fall into.

To put it simply, huge real world accidents, including major environmental accidents, sometimes happen because people just confirm/reaffirm what the others around them believe. So, everyone thinks they've made smart decisions; everyone thinks their facilities are safe. And then the worst happens.

Basically, what you mentioned applies to the real world just as much as it does to roleplay, and any of us can easily fall into this trap.

(QUICK! EVERYONE AGREE WITH US SO WE GET A CIRCLEJERK GOING ON)
Dammit Shorticus, stop downvoting everything. It's against the helpful values of this forum.
