Julia/Jillian

Julia did not respond to the -uppity light worm- other magical girl. Rather, she hovered there in silence. It took a few moments for her gaze to finally migrate away from the girl, and onto the beast that was nearby. It was clearly not natural, and Julia had some guesses as to the nature of the creature, judging by the feeling of its mind and magic. She did not move her eyes until the beast left. Once it was out of sight, she instead closed them, following it mentally for as long as she could reach.

In the end, it was Jillian that spoke first out of the two of them. Julia's other self floated forward, gesturing towards the magical girl whose presence Julia had felt before they were attacked. "You fired upon us," the obviously ghostly girl announced, her face set in a frown, "If we're not mistaken." There were few easier ways to anger Jillian than threatening Julia's safety. Despite the situation, the silent girl's lips quirked up in a smile. Her eyes opened to focus upon the offending girl.

"We demand an apology or recompense for this hostility." The time for niceties was before one had been fired upon.
Julia/Jillian

Julia's eyes danced across the surface of a wall as a plan formed in her mind. She didn't have any love for the twins that were present, but she had even less love for Beacon. She had been spotted already, and fired upon quite promptly. It wouldn't do to leave without retaliation in some form. Perhaps a demonstration of power before she made a quick retreat? And this building was empty... Yes, that would do. Property damage was acceptable.

The plan didn't need to be shared verbally. Jillian floated closer to Julia without prompting, watching in silence as Julia's pitch-dark magic staff was pushed against the wall of the building they had been hiding behind. The motions of the staff were quick and expert as a magical circle was carved into the wall with a bit of help from Jillian's own gravity-based abilities. Julia floated backwards once it was complete, dragging her other self with her as her staff aligned itself. Power gathered at its furthest point, growing and growing as the smaller magical girl grit her teeth and focused.

Her huff of effort was drowned out by the thunderous crash as the building was seemingly punched downwards. The circle she had covered dissipated in a flash of light as it was used to channel her power, and the surface it was carved upon was smashed downwards along with the rest of the building. The force of the massive impact- as well as the cloud of dust and debris- was kept away from the two of them via a manipulation on both Jillian and Julia's part, pushing it away as it came close to them. Their clothes did not even flutter in the breeze, due to their ethereal nature.

Julia stared downwards at the depression in the ground, the radius of which ended at her feet. Sapping tiredness and exhilaration flowed through her in equal measures as she composed herself. For a few silent moments, the magical girl gathered herself until she appeared as calm and pristine as ever. She gestured wordlessly with her staff, creating a funnel through the immense dust cloud. The two of them floated through, hands interlocked and Julia's staff floating beside her free hand.

Humming lowly to herself, the magical girl's eyes darted about, before locking upon the presence which had directed hostility towards her upon her approach. She floated in silence and waited.

Julia is going to do something very dramatic. Her various mental effects (and her own base personality) demand it after being fired upon. Post will be up tomorrow.

EDIT: Julia imitates a gravity smash from Warm, and I tag everyone because it's loud.
Sorry, been quiet on account of waiting for more people to post first myself. I'll get to working on my next one.
Yeah, Julia has reasons to get involved that are pretty awful. It's just probably nice to mention that she wasn't always this kind of person.

I'll wait to post again too, obvs.
Julia is probably about to do something stupid that will make the chaos worse.
Julia/Jillian

This is getting out of hand. Jillian reported anxiously, quite conscious of how destructive the battle they were approaching was becoming. It was pure chaos, and with so many combatants, there was no way of telling where to even start. It was the sort of situation Julia loved, in a strange way, and the kind that made Jillian quite antsy. It was hard to protect someone in that kind of chaos. Should we-

Julia acted before Jillian could finish.

As far as magical girls went, Julia and Jillian were an extremely slow pair. What they lacked in speed, however, Julia made up for it in reaction time. Her mind was like a net cast across the surface of the area; she could not aggressively venture into or manipulate the minds of beacon girls, but she could ensnare the stray thoughts, the split-second reactions. This allowed her a degree of warning before one could fully carry out an act.

It was this bare warning that allowed Julia to shove herself and Jillian out of the way of the streaking arrows of light. The pair of them slammed out of the air, abruptly stopping once they were fully behind a building. The ground cratered beneath where they hovered, gripped tightly in Julia's gravitic control. Startled and unnerved, they watched as the light streaked away.

I think... You are right. This has gotten out of hand. Something must be done. She would not admit that the amount of damage being done concerned her on a more personal level, in the spaces where her lord had not twisted her. The parts of her that were still simply a 14 year old girl.

The pair of them settled in their hiding spot, gathering themselves and wordlessly assessing the battlefield with their senses. Julia was hungry for some kind of confrontation, and in a more sinister sense, but neither of them wanted to risk death so recklessly.

Alicia: "....I agree with what everyone else has been saying. There are too many magical girls in Penrose. Now I can't even have a fight without it turning into a brawl between like a dozen people at minimum."

To be fair, if you start an unscheduled demolition derby then people are going to notice.
Forgot to put the mention in IC and edit won't fix it, so.

I think that's everyone that's in the fight?

Crash and boom, thunder and destruction.

Oh my. They're not being very subtle about this at all, are they? commented Jillian as she floated in the air beside Julia. It was only her other self's gravity-based grip upon her form that kept her from floating away, as light as a feather. Julia -unperturbed by having to support both of them- simply hummed as she felt the destructive battle unfold between the various magical individuals. Some of them had a recognizable -and annoying- feeling to them; neither of them were in line of sight of the battle itself, but rather were relying upon their secondary senses provided by their magic. Tracking the noise down had been easy, with the aid of functioning ears and their various extra senses.

The entire event was a rude interruption to what had otherwise been a pleasant day spent alone and in companionable silence. At least it was also a chance to learn more, she hesitantly reasoned with herself.

And yet...

Julia bit her lip as she considered possibilities. They had an overwhelming level of physical power available, and the combatants were distracted. On top of that, some of what she felt was familiar and annoying. Her anger had not been quelled by the chance to feel out the competition, not yet. If an opportunity presented itself to destroy some of that competition -to assert her dominance, a part of her whispered- then she wouldn't complain.

And, well... She was was hungry.

The plan didn't need to be spoken between them, aloud or mentally; it was simply understood. Julia took off like a shot, and dragged Jillian along with her. Her magical presence was a stifling thing that felt like a weight upon the back and mind, oppressive and vast. It was impossible to conceal it once she got too close, so she didn't bother trying.

At the moment, letting them feel her presence was fine. Maybe it was foolish to break the stealthy approach they had maintained for some time, but her mind was a thing of frustrating duality; Caution and sense warred with the dual needs of dominance and hunger. Jillian, for her part, did not deny her this, and simply coasted on the breeze of her power and presence.

As always.
