Appearance:

Stephanie stands at an average 5’4”, sporting the lightly-tanned, petite frame with hourglass figure that characterizes the female members of her family. Her dark hair is usually worn down in either their natural soft waves or flat-ironed straight, and is so long it easily reaches the small of her back. Her most prominent features are easily her big brown doe eyes and her full, cupid-shaped lips, which she accentuates with the use of makeup.

In terms of outfits, Steph's a fashion chameleon. Her exact style is a tad hard to describe, as it can range from different types of grunge: girly, sporty, goth, casual, etc, and even go to just straight out casual or sporty. The use of dark colors is frequent, especially the color black. She's often compared to the Bratz doll Jade.

As it stands, Spice has a whooping fourteen piercings: six consecutive small ones on the earlobe on each ear, a daith hoop on her left ear and one in her navel. When it comes to tattoos, the girl currently has seven of what she knows will be many: a yellow sunflower on the inside of her left wrist, a small broken heart in red in on the outside of her right wrist, astronomy-related black tattoos on her right-hand's knuckles (a moon, a sun, a planet and a star) and an Arabic proverb in black ink going down her spine that reads “Fire only burns he who approaches it”.

Upon first impressions, Steph is far from the friendliest girl in the block. With her eternal resting bitch face, sharp-tongue and abrasive attitude, people are quickly put off by her. After enough time spent in her presence, her other features come to the surface: judgmental, arrogant, blunt and the type to do what she wants when she wants. She's quick to lash out and put those who wrong her in her place with venom in her words; an art she's mastered during the course of many lover's quarrels. This, of course, stems from the insecurities planted on her head by her ex-boyfriend.. You have him to thank for this little monster.

However, there is a side to Stephanie that not many people get to experience: the outgoing, fun-loving and laid-back girl. To those she considers close ones, Spice will be the most loyal, caring person in the planet. She will go to great lengths to defend those important to her, keep your deepest, darkest secrets, and will do whatever is in her power to make them happy. Stephanie will stay up all night listening to your issues and comforting you if it's necessary, but will be the same person you can expect to tell it to you how it is. As a lover, she is very flirtatious, passionate and intense, with paranoia and jealousy being her biggest enemies.

Background:

Stephanie Elizabeth and Brandon Clyde made their first appearance into the world thirteen minutes apart on a warm May afternoon of the new millennium, first and only children to California Senator Benedict Cross and university professor Arabella Cross. The Cross twins had a fairly normal childhood for wealthy kids who were raised by nannies and didn't see their parents much. The brother and sister duo often caused plenty of mischief together, with a bond so strong it baffled those around them. At school, Bran and Spice were average students, with a stable group of friends and active in different extracurricular activities.

At the age of sixteen, Stephanie got herself involved in what would be the relationship to change the course of her life. She’d fallen helplessly in love with Ethan Anderson: a wanna-be rockstar seven years her senior who gave her the first taste of the dark side. Although things had started out good enough, they soon took a dark turn, and Spice found herself sinking further and further into a manipulative, emotionally abusive relationship. Having gone through a toxic, difficult relationship in the past herself, Mrs. Cross had noticed the signs, and decided to step in before the situation could escalate. After much deliberation and consideration the Cross parents concluded that the best course of action was to send Stephanie to live with her aunt and uncle in New York. This, of course, was not well received by the twins, who had never been separated for a period of time longer than a month. Spice still clearly remembers the immense heartbreak of that last hug with Brandon, even if she knew she would see him again soon.

Surprisingly, Spice had grown to enjoy The Big Apple and the opportunities it provided. The fresh start had been a blessing, allowing her to shed the mean-girl reputation she’d thrived upon back in LA and build up the rebellious wild child one instead. Although she'd kept some of her bad habits, the Brooklyn Stephanie had made a name for herself in Park Crossing High: with a faithful best friend and a high position in the school's social ladder. But, of course, the girl was excited to see what the future after graduation would bring.

<sub>Violet was born in Inha University Hospital in Incheon, South Korea. Her father was a professor at the University while her mother worked as a doctor in the University's hospital. She would be the couple only's daughter, and a child very much treasured indeed. Growing up, she was highly doted upon and lived a comfortable and contented life. Her family was very well off, with both of her parents having respectable jobs in their respective fields. She was taught by her parents be bilingual in the use of both Korean and English, as they knew the importance of learning the language if one wanted to venture beyond Korea. She was a good student, not a top student of any kind, but she did well enough to maintain a decent grade that kept her in the upper half of her class. Like many other young Korean girls, she was obsessed with K-POP and loved singing and dancing.

She fantasied about being an idol even though she knew that there was little chances in fulfilling this dream of hers. She satisfied herself with dancing in her own room, or in the company of friends or other like-minded people. Not long after her fourteenth birthday, her father got an overseas job opportunity which was too good to pass up, and the family decided to support his decision, and so the Kang family uprooted and moved over to Brooklyn, New York in the United States. Adjusting to a new culture and environment could have definitely been worst if she was not already fluent in the English language. Making friends over here was a challenge of its own, but the lass did her best as she relished any challenges that came her way. Adjusting to an American school in Park View High was not easy, but she managed, just like any other challenge and obstacle that came her way.

Coping with bullies and racism was part and parcel of life, and she slowly got used to dealing with it by focusing on the more positive issues like making friends, and concentrating on her singing and dancing. Meeting other Koreans was a godsend, especially those that could hold up conversation in Korean, which did great when she was starting to get homesick in the beginning periods. She wasn't Miss Popular or anything, but she was decently well-liked and had a good number of friends and frankly, that was good enough for her. She was not someone that craved attention and constantly needed acknowledgement, so that small number of good friends she had was good enough for her. When graduation approached, it was an understatement to say that Violet was excited about being invited to the beach trip in Miami, Florida.</sub>

I already see some have decided their characters will be friends, so should there be some sort of discussion on the "starting relationships" between all the characters? As in, how the characters think of each other, just to avoid any autohitting situations or misunderstandings.
Will we establish if some characters for example absolutely hate each other from the get-go or will we improvise as we go? (I'm fine with whatever, I'm just curious!)

Katie Pruett stands at the height of 5'5", but don't let her short stature fool you. She can be fierce. Her hair is a natural red, but occasionally she will dye it to make it a brighter red. Her eyes are that of a deep hazel that she often uses to stare into the souls of anyone she is annoyed by or hates. She says this as a joke but many think of her eyes as like daggers sometimes.

Her attire is typically centered around whatever toboggan she is wearing that day. She owns quite of few of them. From there it depends on how casual or dressed up she wants to be. Her casual attire will either be some sort of sweater, skirt, and jacket or overalls paired with a t-shirt. She refuses to wear high heels and usually has on sneakers or some nice boots. When she is dressing up, she has a few semi-formal dresses. She does take off the toboggan when she's dressing up.

The only other noticeable features about her are the numerous freckles lining her face and a single scar on the front of her right knee from when she had to have surgery for a sports accident. Other than that there is really nothing else distinguishable about her appearance.

Katie is very strong-willed. Out of the four females in her family, she became more of a tomboy. She did all the dirty work around their small home, and was the emotional backbone, alongside her mother, for both her sisters. She is very defensive of her friends, and when she gets an idea in her mind, she won't back down until forced to or if a close friend does something, and that doesn't even always work.

She is a very secretive person and will move to take care of others long before dealing with her emotional issues often breaking down when alone for too long. Despite her bossy and stubborn personality, she can be a great ally and wonderful friend. Just avoid getting on her bad side. She can get very catty.

Originally being born in a small town in Ohio Katie didn't live there long. Approximately two years. Has lived in Brooklyn ever since.

Katie's life hasn't necessarily been easy. It all started a few months before she and her twin sister, Mackenzie, were born. Annabelle and her husband were already taking care of a one-year-old Caroline when they became aware that they would be having twins. At first, everything seemed alright, but about a month before the twins birth the man up and vanished leaving Annabelle to raise a one-year-old with two more on the way.

It wasn't at all easy. They barely had enough for all four to eat. Eventually, Annabelle moved the small family to Brooklyn close to where her family resided. When they got older, the three girls did what they could to help. While Annabelle took on as many jobs as she could handle the three girls did what they could to protect and comfort each other. Despite the occasional fight, usually started by Katie, the girls always stuck together. They even had the same friends for the most part. During high school, the three started going separate ways with their lives. Caroline sought the life of educating children, Mackie longed to be a star, and Katie desired to bring truth to the forefront of peoples lives.

Compared to her sisters, Katie was not considered to be very popular. Her sarcastic and abrasive personality was a definite turn off to most. But a few people broke through and called themselves her friends. She has had one relationship past friendship but, for reasons unbeknownst to her, the guy suddenly seemed to become distant and he avoided her quite a bit. Eventually, she confronted him, and they had a pretty big fight. He then broke up with her and even moved away as to remove the risk of further fighting. This was a few weeks before graduation and Katie hasn't fully gotten over it.

Mackie has a very bubbly personality. She is a major social butterfly trying to get to know everyone. She is a kind soul who does what she can to help her friends feel happy. She may not always know what the best thing to say is but she will almost always make an effort. Mackie is also very open emotionally and won't hesitate to tell you how she feels about something.

She also has a deep love for portraying characters. She can portray many emotions and characteristics when performing on stage. She really enjoys teasing her friends by trying to see if she can trick them, but she usually can't keep herself from grinning when this starts working that she gives herself away. Sable loves to pull small pranks on her friends, and makes a good sounding board for peoples problems. A competive girl at heart, she never backs down from a challenge and is quite the adrenaline junkie.

Though not technically a rebel, Sable doesn't allow herself to be pushed around, and has the tendancy to be a bit hot headed. Having no problems with standing up for herself, those around her, or what she believes in - the girl is very arguementative. Though friendly to just about anyone, Sable has a hard time letting people get close due to trust issues.

B A C K G R O U N D: Born to well known Prosecutor Attorney Edward Gregorgy Hollingsworth, and his modle of a wife, Cora, Sable was the apple of her parents eyes. If the little girl wanted something, all she had to do was ask. Her mother going away for modeling gigs added stress to the family, but all was swell right up until the age of 10. At this time, it was found that Cora had an inoperatable brain tumor. Sable watched her mother wither away while helping take care of her until she died nearly two years later.

Following his wifes death, Edward poured himself into his work more than ever. This took a slight tole on Salem, but the young girl continued to study hard. At age 14, Sable was pulled out of English class and notified that her father had died from a heart attack. Moving to Brooklyn, she now lives with her drunkard of an uncle -Rick, who she can't stand- and his wife, Jen, who works as a waitress.

Sables time in Brooklyn has been different than that of LA. She comes home every night to take care of her passed out uncle, and clean the house. She doesn't mind it much, as it keeps her occupied. Sable gradguated 10th in her class, and is planning to attend New York State University.

In-Depth Appearance: Molly is easily tanning, about 5'6" tall, and has a slim body. She isn't that curvy and you couldn't describe her skinny per se, but she is still considered to be from the thinner end. Molly, like most girls, has some media inflicted body-image issues, wishing she had a fit body. Her hair is naturally curly, mid-length and often dyed a honey blonde tone, though her natural hair colour is a boring shade of brown. Molly has an infectious smile and dark brown eyes, and freckles that she usually hides under concealer. Her ears, which are pierced, stand out more than she'd like them to.
Molly has a scar under her chin and on her knee from when she fell when she was small. She also has a small tattoo of a bumblebee on the downside of her left wrist. It's colourless.

Her clothing style is quite modern and stylish, following the trends more or less. She uses denim jackets and striped t-shirts, often having something yellow on her. Molly appears to have it all together; she seems self-confident, outgoing and overall an uplifting presence to be around. While the statement is almost true - she aims to bring those around her up - she lacks the confidence, being ridiculously insecure. This trait of hers doesn't really shine out if you don't know her, since her way of hiding it is doing what she's good at: pretending. Her sunny personality isn't by any means fake, but she does appear much more confident than she really is or feels, going through her life with a "fake it till you make it" sort of attitude.
Molly has a knack for making new friends quickly but she's actually quite hopeless. She has tons of schoolmates, but not really that many actual friends. The people she used to hang around in school she wasn't really close with, and the friends she's had often end up drifting apart with her. She's known for being a goofy sometimes, but people who don't know much about her often end up thinking she's stuck-up and hard to get to.

Molly isn't perfect. in fact she has quite a lot of "ugly emotions," as she calls them, jealousy and envy being some of them. She is also hard to get close with despite her yearning of connecting with someone, closing up when someone actually tries to become good friends with them. When you get down and vulnerable with her, she quickly gets awkward and loses her facade. Being highly empathic, she feels others' emotions strongly and has a hard time expressing her own negative emotions. When she gets mad, instead of talking it out she just starts turning a cold shoulder; a thing ultimately worse than arguing. And considering her age, she's still immature when it comes to some things.

Background: Molly was born in Northern Brighton, England. She grew up as the only child and both her parents being businessmen, she used to move a lot when she was smaller. She's been to many countries, so maybe the constant moving has made it hard for her to get any long-term friends, that's how she sees it.
Molly's family moved to Brooklyn permanently when her parents found jobs there, just before Molly's high school began.
In high school Molly dated twice. Both relationships were ones with popular boys from her school, this being before she realised she was gay, and they all ended up with Molly being the awkward dumper. Despite being popular, or maybe due to her being popular, she had some people who disliked her to varying degrees. Her breakups were quite public, and the most drama-loving students usually took sides in the background, spreading rumours. Trying to stay unfazed, Molly kept up with her sunny brand till the end, having many who liked her but also those who disliked her, be it because of hereasays or other reasons.

Miscellaneous: She was elected as the prom queen and that's where most people know her name from. Those who went to the same high school with her, anyway. Molly is also vegetarian, although she still eats fish. There is a specific word for that, but Molly hasn't bothered to actually label herself. Molly is right handed and she is (ironically enough) allergic to bees.
Molly is quite whimsical and hasn't a foggiest of what she'll be doing after high school. Her parents encourage her to follow their footsteps into the business world, but the girl herself isn't as keen on that, as she grew up with constant moving and her parents not really having time for her.
