My characters kKingdom is one built into a mountain, like a cave system. Is there place for this kind of kingdom on this world?
Ignis Mau is a mountain?
any mountain not occupied by an existing kingdom nor lux mau and youd be good.
Upon taking a closer look at the map, I had planned for the kingdom to be in the top right (north east) corner of the map to give it that whole 'Japan isolation' feel, and why you wouldn't see many of Kojiro's kind. The conflicts between the clans would've been cut off from the rest of the world, so it would be a reason why no one may have heard of the conflicts. But this all depends on the mythos, so if the climate there wouldn't support the dragons or provide a stable living environment, we could go for Draco Mau.
Also, what's the ruling on the Bahamut? Were my moves impressive enough? Would you say you've *sunglasses* noticed me?
.... I apologize in advance.
Hmmmm ill put a mountain in the north east area. It will be called ferrum mau.
I will approve Bahamut as a Patron over a kingdom of a samurai/dragoon class. However ill only approve Bahamut's Aspect if you can give one worthy of the king of dragons. So show me your moves leolycan.

Arch. Dat armor is sharp. However im seeing a huge expense. What is it made of and who the heck is that good at making armor lol.

Very nice!, though I would love to hear about what's hiding on those two Maus :3 Edit; the ones in between whom Arcania is positioned.
Magicite, it's going to be very obvious from the beginning that the Mau are wellsprings for magic and magicite. Lux Mau is always glowing with light similar to a lighthouse, but there's still that dangerous force inside which is a bit beyond the current party's capacity to slay. Thankfully the journey will be the means of strengthening the bonds among party members.
Alright I've actually finished the actual character and now I'm working on the kingdom info
:D hurrah! Also, fat chocobo patron is best patron, just saying.
Very much interested in this. I havr a great character in my head and he will be a Ranger type. Will be from a different Kingdom however, because i always play a humans and fancy a change.... you're still accepting?
Seems cool! You can join just do it by the end of the week.
okey here is an unedited version of hte final thing:
Name: Selie’re Nasloede’kas Alias: Rose Job:
-A fast and flexible sword wielding warrior, that dances through the enemy, striking vital spots with unnatural precision.
Stun:
(A combination of complex and fluid moves including both the dancer’s body and swords, which causes any enemy who sees it to get into a trance like state in which they can only stare at the dancer.)
Strike:
(One of the very defining skills of the sword dancers. A 3 hit strike, boosted with magical energy, where each slash comes from an unexpected angles with speed that makes it nearly impossible to dodge. Those 3 strikes carry enough power to shatter stone.)
Defense:
( Another of the defining skills of a sword dancer. This skill consists of using the dual swords to form a complete protection area around you. It allows to deflect almost any attack send at you. )
Disable:
(Utilizing the little magic power from deep within her, she makes her swords shine with light that blinds the opponent for a few seconds.)
Enable:
(Rather than class skill, this is a skill coming from her race. As her body possesses incredible amount of magic energy that she cannot utilize, Selie’re is able to use that energy to boost her allies instead, allowing them to unleash more devastating magical attacks.)
Skill:
(Part of her duty when she was still with the military, cooking became a skill she has a great confidence in. She is capable of cooking a great variety of foods from different parts of the world. Even when lacking a proper recipe for specific ingredient, she is capable of improvising a decent meal.)
History: Selie’re was raised up in arcadia since she was small, but no one really knows where she was born. One day she was just brought up by the supreme general at the time, who was returning from a visit to one of the border stations. One thing is know though, Selie’re is the only person in Arcania who has red hair or to be precise the only other person who also had red hair was the queen who disappeared all those years ago. Even the surname who was given to Selie’re, Krielie’nas. Is also the surname of the queen. Everybody knows that fact, but not a single person says it. For they all know that they must not push and shower her with expectations just because who her mother is. Still Selie’re made a good life for herself. She joined the military as a cadet after she finished her education at the age of 25. Sure enough 25 years later once she became an adult she was officially enlisted into the military directly sending her to the Blade dancers as her performance was among the best of those her age. After ten years with the elite’s of the Arcanas, she was given a strange order. To head to the continent to the west, to the Kingdom of Navire. Selie’re was ordered to go there observe till the new king there is chosen and meanwhile to gather enough information to decide if official long range trade relationship would be worth it.
Race: Arcana Description: Arcana are a race of mostly female humanoids that resemble humans a lot. In fact the only notable difference are their ears that have an almost draconic feel to them and their hairs that give of a slight glow of their colors. Supposedly the glow is caused by the incredible amount of magic energy that is accumulated in their bodies. Most arcanas find it near impossible to control that magic power as every spell they try to cast backfires cause huge damage to themselves too, but even with that drawback, this race still regards that power as a very important aspect of themselves. It’s rare to find an Arcana with short hair as the longer their hair is, the greater the magic capacity they have. Arcanas live for an average of 300 years, but there are very rare exceptions to that. Additionally due their long lives, their birthrate is very small. As after giving birth, the arcana cannot have another child for at least 70 years. In addition to that the pregnancy continues for nearly 2 years. As such every arcana carrying a child is a subject to severe protection from the rest of her people. An arcane is considered full fledged adult at the age of 50.
History: The history of the arcanas is a gathering of sad and glorious moments. Originally the arcana were a race of pacifists who lived in their small country that was land between the Ventus Mau and Terra Mau. The small country was placed in a huge clearing in the mountains itself, making it a natural fortress, but as they were pacifists they were easily overtaken by a nearby human kingdom, for their land didn’t have a patron at that time, but with it being in the mountains, their kingdom had a multitude of valuable ores. After a few centuries of slavery, following a successful rebellion, the Kingdom of Arcania was once again separate from it’s capturers. The arcana changed a lot from their past. Rather than the pacifists state that once was, now Arcania is a mostly military state. With nearly 90% of it’s population being combat ready and having complete soldier training. The borders are strongly guarded to the point where entry is near impossible for outlanders and if need be, every citizen is ready to join the military till the need passes. Education is obligatory in Arcania. Every child must attend school, where aside subject such as math and language, they study military tactics, martial arts and many other things needed for successful military career. All those laws and rules were set in motion by the first queen after the rebellion. After a rule of 50 years during which she set the nation’s laws and military protocols, she left the throne and shifted the government to it’s current version. There is no such thing as most respected profession within Arcania. Every person understands the need for each occupation. Still most preferred ones are those directly affiliated with the military. Exception are the professional gladiators, who are civilians, but still one of the strongest military units within the Arcadia.
Government: The Arcana still don’t have a patron whom they revere. As such their process for choosing a ruler isn’t based on patrons. Also rather than a complete ruler, the Arcana government is divided into 2 parts. The first is the council consisting of 10 prominent members of the nation, they decide on the civilian matters. The council is decided through elections every 50 years. The second part of the government is the Military command. It’s led by a Supreme general. The supreme general has the last word on any affairs concerning the military aspects of the nation, but usually still discusses any future actions with the council. The supreme general is elected again every 50 years through a 3 tests: the general exams, the tournament of the chosen and the Test of the High Queen. It is considered national holiday. Everyone who wants to take part of the selection for the Supreme General can sign for it, few reach the second phase though. General Exams: Is the first selection process. All applicants are put through extensive examination of their education. From military tactics, all the way to math. The criteria is very severe so only those with perfect scores can continue. Tournament of the Chosen: This is the second phase of the selections. Here all applicants who passed the first phase are put to a 1v1 tournament, until only the last person remains. Not a single death has been recorded so far in this tournament as the few magic users that exist within Arcania, cast protection spells on every combatant. Test of the High Queen: This is the last challenge before a supreme general is chosen. This is a unique test that was created by the high queen herself. She was a great magic user herself so before she left she had created a very special cave. No one really knows what’s inside it and everybody who enters refuses to say what they saw. But it is generally accepted that within the cave resides some form of magic artefact that puts every candidate through some sort of illusion trial. The only information given to the general public are the word of the queen before she left:” within that cave lies the challenge of one’s very own heart, for to best one’s self means to best the world.”
Classes: There are quite a few different special classes within Arcania. Gladiator: Every one of these fighter utilize his own unique weapon style. Those mostly self thought fighters on the arena are fierce warriors. Often wielding variety of greatswords and heavy armors. Border guards: The most respected of all occupations. Those soldiers are armed with heavy armor, tower shields and halberds. They also carry a sword as a backup weapon. As a wall of metal they are the first line of defense against any aggressor. Blade dancers: Those exotic dual wielding warriors are among the elite fighters of the arcanas. Possessing a variety of different sword forms which they combine with some magic energy they are capable of swiftly dance their way through enemy lines. Combined with the ability to hypnotize enemy with their movements they are among the most feared sight for the enemy army. They also serve as the parade unit and also entertainment during official guest's visits. War mages: The rarest sight within Arcania. Individuals who are capable of using pure magic are very rare for the arcanas. Still those who are born with the gift often become mages with incredible destructive potential, but even then there exist the possibility that one wrong move and they will be consumed by their very own spells.
Legend of the first Queen. The first queen of the Arcanas after the rebellion was not even an adult by the standarts of her race. She became a queen at the age of 25 after the fact she was the one who led the rebellion. Even among her people her past before the rebellion is widely unknown. Still no one questioned her because even as a youngster she showed great deal of skill with both sword and magic. The old records of the war state that she was always the first one to engage into battle and the last one to leave after the enemy was defeated. After she was crowned she seemed to be a cold ruler, but one with a soul. Despite her cold attitude she was always thinking of her people first. When she finished setting up the new government, she left Arcania. Not even her closest people knew where she went. Today she is widely regarded as a role model for every arcana wishing to become a military figure. Still there has been another story that has been going around for the last few decades. According to the story the old journal of the queen was found. It was stating that she was a servant of the princess of the kingdom to whom they were slaves. The journal also stated that with the help of the princess the rebellion took place, but she lost her life in the first battle. Truth is no one knows if that journal is real as it’s unknown where it is at the moment, but that doesn’t seem to trouble the young arcanas who create beautiful tragic stories about the queen.
between Ventus and Terra Mau? Hmm I'll put it on the map and you can put this CS in the CS section. For a Kingdom without a Patron I do have to say that somewhat-magical beings are an odd choice especially because they were pacifist. That's like perfect for most Patrons so maybe that aspect should be explored later.
The embodiment of wisdom, a chocobo? I didn't see that coming when I came up with Patrons. And then there's also this trend among the current Patrons...
First let me regather the current Patrons.
Navire: Unnamed. An embodiment of Nothing, so far it ruler choice is nothing but a lottery for the unborn. Its form and gender are unknown to even its chosen ruler. With powers that are sub par, a kingdom of just refuge, what prideful form could this Patron take and what true gifts will it manifest for its people who've learned nothing but to carve their own destinies on the roots of the tree of life?
Caelum: Sigilyph. A powerful giver of inspiration and power one would be making an understatement that she is among the most dominant patrons in the world with a people that are alike her, courageous and creative. This deity rules with pride unlike many others, with worship and glory given in daily ritual. What kingdom possesses more harmony than this kingdom with the bond between this Patron and her people?
Unnamed: Unnamed. The most wise of all, the sage Patron who bears the form of a Chocobo, tests its people in its presence. Creatures of similar form used as tools, what does that say about the Patron and the Chocobo? What must the wisest of all Patrons need to see in her people for its one ruler? Perhaps it needs to see itself within the ruler. After all the searching the wisest one is the wisest without equal. So why is it that there can only be second best in a place where the top place must be fought over by champions.
as you can see one pattern has appeared, subtel but no less important.
All patrons have wings whether they go used or not each has wings.
@archangel89 surrounded by grasslands where a mount is like a rocket with a saddle? That's like their perfect environment but at the same time there's a distinct weakness against stealthy foes as well as tactical combat so the battle fields are always filled with the obstacles people create and that's how terms of war are dictated, but I have no clue if shamans and breeders are capable of such hate beyond minor land and territory disputes as well as some animal rights. SO tell me, who is this patron and how does it select rulers in this kingdom of rocket birds?
