Shin Megami Tensei, an awesome series about demons and saving the world from whatever form the Apocalypse takes. I've always wanted to role play using SMT as a setting but to do so I've got to manage it myself. But instead of my original plan of going Advanced I decided it would better to reproach my idea with something Casual. To be perfectly clear my last Int Check didn't go too well as it was heavy for rules.
So lets move on to the premise.
There's a myth that when thunderstorms come around and you serf the web for the site called AdimibA you'll disappear for a day then wake up at your doorstep with your memory erased. Some students in your class tried finding the website online but it's always down for maintenance.
But the weather is going to turn over the weekend and storms are sure to follow for the week. Your friend challenged you to search for the website come Friday. You're not one to suspect that any myths are true about AdimibA but a challenge is a challenge.
And so you wait out the days until Friday's showers begins. At the first crack of lightning the power flickers but your laptop is fine. So you type in the letters a d i m i b a. You hit enter but then the lights go out this time, with a crackling of thunder. The power's gone meaning your wifi is too. But the site's page is up.
The words "Now Uploading" are in bold black across the white background.
"Upload failed, please try again at a later time." The browser page exits automatically.
You wait all night for the power to come back on but the blackout seems to be an overnight guest for the city's powergrid.
The next morning you wake up to see your lights are back on. Your friend calls you as you're about to eat breakfast. Maybe you should have called him earlier.
When you pick up the phone it's you friend's brother. He seems to have disappeared overnight but left his stuff at home. Replying that he wasn't at your place you guess that he'd seen another friend of his, but then you wondered if he checked out Adimiba. It was about to load for you too. Maybe it the upload worked for him and he disappeared because of it.
With plenty of Saturday to burn you check the news and it looks like scattered showers are due for the rest of the week. Having a busy day ahead of you it's clear that you'll waste none of it with Adimiba. However that won't keep you wondering.
Later at night the thunder is beating against the black clouds with streaks of lightning throwing themselves like spears across the sky. It's prime time for Adimiba. But first you'll call your friend.
No answer.
You'll leave him a text instead.
"Looking up Adimiba. Hope you're doing ok, because your brother called earlier."
Waiting a minute for a reply you decide that he'd probably busy too.
Adimiba returns to the uploading screen. The power remains on in the house and you feel excited but also a little worried. Maybe the myth is true and you're about to throw your memory out the window like yesterday's garbage.
"Upload Complete please create a Login ID.

It is in your interest to choose an ID based of an animal or monster pertaining to a myth. The culture of the members of Adimiba is heavily based on ID so please choose carefully. You may not be given a chance to edit or change this ID.

It seems this is the point of no return for Adimiba. If you're going to prove that everything scary about this site is a myth then now's your chance.
