1 person :D that's enough for a 1x1 but lets see if this can stir anymore interest.

(Red dot: Koji, Green dot: Remaining Party. Circles: areas where the party as a whole can fit. Line are branches of notable size that connect smaller areas to each other. Black: immediately in front of you or very near you. Creatures, traps, and activation points are within immediate area. Dark grey, visible and one can tell whats over there with little effort. Light grey, hard to see but you know it's there. White... remaining map that hides other areas. Please note that certain things may b hidden on this map. )

Standing near the nest, the warrior quickly heard loud chirping noises coming from the large bundle of twigs. Just below his footing was another area where branches converged. He could see that something was sitting there wedged between the wooden branches. It appeared shiny, but there was a great wall of vines and thorns with small flowers covering the nearby area. Getting too close may result in something strange happening. the warrior's instincts were sure of this, just looking at those purple flowers assured him that it was a trap!

If he looked above him, it was the same case where it was easy to see the odd looking flora.

However, at the foot of the tree the party could see how the branches of the giant tree were able to be climbed or walked rather easily. They were wide enough to carry a couple people side by side but this was no place to bring a chocobo since the leaves and smaller branches were in the way.

(Please choose directions according to the lines. If you wish to maneuver yourself in a special way [jump from one circle to another without going through the lines] then please specify which circle to the best of our abilities. In some instances a hidden obstacle may block your path. You'll risk falling from a great height doing so. Also this is a trial map, explore and experiment in your attempts as much as you want.)
"That sounds really harsh.. but I guess.. not so harsh when you think about missions we might have to do one day." Mikone wanted to stay positive but the truth was that she was feeling bad about how she only managed to stay out of the way of the others, except for the part where someone landed on her. "A lot has happened today. I'm ready for food, even if its Barbecue! Thank you sensei."
(ooh so close

The Trevenant was born in the shadows, molded by it. You have merely adopted it as your ally!

That being uh stated...)

The shadow stitching jutsu was unable to latch onto the sneaking foe. The ghost demon seemed to be highly adept at evading attacks, in this forest environment it seemed transparently clear that its knowledge and familiarity were a monumental advantage.

Then just when the Trevenant popped out of its shadow to head on strike Sorom, its powerful and glowing claw was knocked away by Gallade's attack, the wrist was cut, but it was Ralt's attack that layered the punishing strike on the Travenant's hand, obliterating it.

"TREVENAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!" It screamed in pain. With its glowing red eye fixed on Gallade the creature once again glowed with a strong blue hue. Its other arm caught the psychic demon. Holding Gallade by the arm, it tried to keep him from escaping.
Let's go: I am going to start the narrative with Leon Neptune (@SiliconColt)
LEON NEPTUNE: WAKE UP
you arise from your slumber in your bedroom, It is early in the morning (7:30 AM) morning What do you do next.

:D ill post thus in the in character tab. Since my character is approved ill post it in the cs tab.
Might want to be careful with letting the DM have all the power... You might stumble upon Tiamat or Omega Weapon after you trip over a tree root and stub your toe.

*scoots the tree roots over an inch* fuck they caught me
Well I'm not the one who made this system, you should talk to Maniac Maestro about that. I was just joking about homestuck, and its reputation as trash XD

*^* call me oscar in that case.
"So much is ruined, I know that there's people still walking around though, picking up stuff. When we left the club house there were families hiding inside. Its actually surprising that the club is one of the few things left standing. Oh Rai..." Viv turned seeing him pulling on his wing.

"I'm not crying... uh.. What do we do? Do you need to check on anyone?" Viv asked, holding back the emotion but unable to prevent the expressions flow through his tear ducts. He knew Minadi and Ulu weren't from this village, but the others like, Pallus and Rida might have family.

"You guys can go to the club if you want, I need to.. I need to find someone. I'll meet you at the club house." Viv waved to Rai then ran toward the village, picking up himself with his wings.

At the club house, a few villagers were waiting for the descendants to return. They were thankful for an end to the falling cannon balls. A couple people however, were too busy morning.

Among them was an elder man of the town who was crying over a tattered scarf. With his back bent forward he walked slowly out of the room toward the forest edge. Placing his hand across the bark he bent his knees and contracted himself until he was sitting down.

Inside the club was a little boy crying too. He was holding a large bag filled with various things. It was obvious that these were the remaining items in his position. As to why he was carrying them around, the answer was clear that his home was destroyed.

"We'll survive." An old gentlemen said. He used a cane to stand.

"With what? The food is going to waste." a women said, wearing an orange dress torn at the bottom.

"Maybe we can save it?." another women chimed in. Her hair was a mess and so were her clothes which were covered in mud.

How can we save it when it's scattered on the ground and buried in piles of wood. It can't be cleaned up, only prepared and eaten!" The women in the orange dress said.

It could be saved if we found the fairy spring of time. The old man said, turning toward the young children in the room. His attention was caught by the crying young one. "There there, are you hurt lad?"

"Fairy Spring? No such fairies in this forest. We should migrate north before it gets dark. As a community we can fend off the creatures of the night." A man said, he seemed rather strong but when he turned one could see that he was missing an arm.

"Just an old tale of a spring that makes one young again. Why would it not refresh the food if we were to wash it in the spring?" The old man said, turning back to the adults.

"We don't even know where it is!" The women in the orange dress said. "Besides, ain't no fairies this far south!"

Back in the village, Viv pulled a plank of wood out of a pile. He quickly removed others until the floor of a home was open. Seeing a small ring on the ground, he pulled it. The door was big, about the weight of a small child. When Viv did manage to force it open he could hear a chirping noise.

He peeked inside, seeing a treasure chest on the floor. Everything was the same as before. He pushed the hatch door over, allowing him to shed light into the small room. No taller than his shoulder and wider than his extended arm, this was a small shelter were he kept his valuables. It had been years since he'd been at the home of his mother. She adopted him long ago and died when he turned twelve. Inheriting her small house he put all of the most important memories in the safest place.

He hoped down then opened the chest. Inside was a necklace with a small gem secured by a string. This was something she always wore, and the one thing he remembered most easily.

"I might as well carry this with me." Viv was ducking down just to fit, so by scooting backward he stood up then crawled out with ease. Pushing the hatch over, he closed the small room. Hoping this was the last time he'd need to keep someone else's belongings safe, he turned away. "Now... where's that flute. I had it in a box that was sitting..." Viv looked over where his bed was. The roof collapsed but the resulting pile of planks was nothing to worry about since the bed was actually built to handle a lot of weight. He managed to pry a box out, this one long and slender. He pulled out the flute, holding it in his fingers. Pressing the end to his lips he exhaled slowly, letting out a terrible note.

"I still can't play it right." He put it in a pouch on his belt then looked around the village. It felt so... small without anything tall standing in the way.

Sighing as he looked around, the small brewer was pacing around his small shack, sure that the disaster was bad for business. There was but one way to obtain rupees, and that was through a desperate means.

"All potions, half price!" He announced, putting the sign on his small stand away and getting out a new one.

A man on a horse arrived in the village, his ride a simple horse. He wore a hood that kept his eyes hidden but his chin exposed. Ignoring his surroundings he made his way past the village. People ignored him as he rode through the wreckage.

The only thing he appeared interested in was keeping himself balanced on the horse as it evaded and walked over the mess. Passing the party on the way through, the could see he was a Hylian older than them.

In the sky birds flew around, marking the areas where ample food was exposed the elements. In those spots, children were picking up fruits and vegetables. Some weren't really sure what was going on while others were making haste to save what they could.

The kids not trying very hard cause a glimpse of a shadow above them. Looking like a big hawk, it was attracted by the smell of fish. Then the sound of a fiddle caught their ears. Looking at a strange body they wondered why anyone would be playing any music at this moment, especially a song of triumph.

A Zora fisherman was at the beach already, throwing live fish back into the water while picking out the dead ones. It was obvious that something had to be done to keep the lake alive with a food supply. The Zora was all to aware.

When he turned his attention toward the water, a mist was enveloping the area. This was only normal when the hot weather was chilling due to a cold wave of air spreading through the area. Wondering what caused the place to become so chilly, he hurried to find his way back to the village with a large net of dead fish.

I may wait for you to post Colt, just so i get a better understanding of what you want to happen

What i want to happen is a primal meeting, but how that happens and when it happens are still up to the party taking action. If i post tonight then it will assume everyone has moved along to the tree.
I'd like to discuss this topic with the narrow niche of Table Top GMs on the forum.

With the mindset of merging mechanics with story and character creation, I discovered this topic in this strange forum pertaining to ideas about skill sets. From that came my first draft of merging the character creation process with writing history and define which skills are important to a character.

We're getting into the rules heavy territory of rpgs, aka rules theory and stuff.

In this drafted system characters have a single slot for a skill set. A skill set is two or more skills that are related to each other under a profession. A profession is simply defined as a job or title of a character such as Knight, Carpenter, Doctor, etc. In an attempt to reflect real world skills simplistically while avoiding overbearing mechanics, the rp will use skills only if a player decides to use them or highlight them in the character.

A single skill in particular is named "profession: blah blah" where the profession is replaced with the title or job which frames the context of the skill's origin and how it can be used in the rp. Blah blah can be replaced by sub-title which covers more specific, basic knowledge relating to the skill, and implied activities involved with learning that skill. The key with a sub-title is explaining the origin of obtaining the skills, like a bulletin point of a character's history.

On the other hand once can highlight attributes and traits of the character, gained through other skills. These would be personality traits, physical traits like strength, activities that defined how a character looks like weight lifting. The list of options goes on but it should serve the purpose of honing in a character instead of broadening the implied knowledge and abilities.

The skill system doesn't account for weaknesses really, just things that would give a character reasonable ways to interact with the world they are used in. The example below is a generic NPC who'd I'd use for one that would reoccur. I might cut or edit that base for similar characters that are not important.

What do you think of a character built this way? Would you or do you use a similar method?
