Mila's hopes of not being noticed were soon crushed when the Invader shot two energy balls in her direction. She easily rolled away form the first one, but was only saved from the second one by Team Afterglow's Striker, the giant Tian-Gui. Around the same time, Falk's explosions were detonating a little too close for comfort, but his aim had been good enough that the ruins the purple haired girl took refuge in remained standing. The explosions were just about done when Final Red charged the enemy, almost through the smoke. He was not alone...but it didn't last.

With a yet unseen move from the Invader, all assailants were thrown back, and Mila was forced into cover by the crazed Invader's random barrage of fire. All the while, people were coming up with ideas and strategies left and right, some of which felt as if they could work. Some, she thought, were unnecessarily risky. When Mila saw - or rather heard the shouting of - Tian-Gui's charge right back into the fray, she spoke up in the comms.

"I am all out of Gravity Pulls ammunition. I can provide covering fire, and a strong, constant fire power on a localized point. If any plan is to be had, please deliver it fast. Captain Limit, you have not shared your idea yet." Her voice was unnaturally calm and composed, devoid of any...adrenaline.

Immediately after, however, Mila jumped down the building. Using what usual strategy she normally used with Mavis, she used her Gunner's speed to assist Tian's assault on the invader in order to keep it busy. Always keeping herself opposed to Tian's position, on the other side of the Invader and at a calculated and precise distance, she delivered Iron Saga's attacks in successions to the Strikers blows. Her goal was mainly to keep the Invader from focusing on one enemy only.

If she could have afforded it, Mila might have remained motionless due to the surprise of receiving the order to run. One moment she was ready to fight, the next she and Mavis were running away. Her speed and general mobility allowed her to evade the energy projectiles with relative ease while catching up to her Leader. Mila remained some distance away from Mavis and stopped every few moments to shoot Iron Saga's sustained laser at the invader, hoping to slow down it's constant advance. Then, again, she used her augmented speed to catch up.

Despite their best efforts, the enemy seemed like it would eventually catch up. However, they were bound to get closer and closer to the other teams. It did not help that despite all of her movements, Mila had be hit by a few round of machine gun fire. Nothing that her personal barrier couldn't absorb, but she could not afford to take any more fire without taking the risk of becoming a liability by being wounded.

As soon as they would reach the others location, Mila quickly eyed everything: it seemed like they had got into a fight, but the invaders remaining were either put down or fleeing at this point. It was not her job to give orders or propose strategy, so rather then take the time to explain or warn the others - which she knew Mavis would do if they were not already aware thanks to the comms - Mila quickly turned around and launched herself on the first floor of a nearby ruined building, lying in wait. From what she saw of the invader, it was more likely to keep on charging the new comers then search for her specifically, meaning she'd be ready to unleash Iron Saga into it's back as soon as it would engage with the others.

Her main focus: the gun on it's back or the tip of it's tail

No traces of emotions - noticeable that is - betrayed Mila's thoughts as she looked down at her hand after Mavis' speech. Humans, Living Creatures. Was she still those things? Maybe. Probably.

The thought did not bother her for long, however, for there was a mission to complete. Mila nodded to Mavis and followed her partner into the portal.

The very moment that they arrived in the courtyard, the scene was as clear as day: this thing was unavoidable. At least so thought Mila. A quick glance at Iron Saga told her she only one one single charge of Gravity Pull left. Taking what Mavis earlier told her about threat assessment at face value...Mila launched herself...aside and around the Invader.

Her Psycher's augmented speed really showed, as it looked like she had just skipped across the small pond of the courtyard. Mila placed herself at about a 65 degree angle, Mavis as point zero. From this location and from what her quick look at the target told her, this was the optimal location for what she wanted to try.

"This thing looks dangerous. From range or melee - at least this should help if Mavis get in close." she thought to herself before shooting her one remaining Gravity Pull rod. Aiming not at the ground like usual, but at the Invader directly. More accurately, inside one of the target's metallic armor's crack or nook hoping that, with Iron Saga's launching power, it might stay on the target making it so her Psychic Drive could support Mavis even with the target's moving out of the usual zone.

Iron Saga's engine began to charge up as Mila aimed straight at the beast, ready to support Mavis at a moment's notice.

"He is ready for you, Captain!...Gravity Pull." With those words, the rod did some high pitched sound and the top part of it broke off, followed by a very loud and bass-like sound as a 20ft radius around the invader suddenly saw it's gravity drastically augmented.

Yui was sitting on the edge of a window, enjoying the peace and quiet of a seemingly abandoned corridor while looking down as Aegis and co. finally seemed to be moving on. She sighed internally. Aegis presence was sure to cause trouble, as it already did, and yet...

Her train of thought was cut short by a grinning shadow which looked like a nightmare. Startled, Yui almost attacked it but she felt...nothing. She did not feel the usual dread and darkness emanating from a nightmare. She did feel another kind of Darkness, though...A Dark Girl.

Yui straightened herself a bit and even made some place for Ayumu to sit beside her on the edge of the window. She didn't strike Yui as the aggressive kind. Indeed, she was the only one that spoke to her without threatening her in some way or another. Well, two out of three times at least. "Hello, Harasawa-san." Yui said of her light hearted voice, smiling at the new comer. There was no trace of distrust or apprehension in it.

"What I meant? Hmm..." she took a bite and left the chopsticks at her lips for a few moments, thinking. "I'm sorry, I don't have a good answer to that!" Yui simply answered, obviously looking embarrassed as she fiddled with her hair lock a bit.

She continued with a half smile, looking down "You were right, you know. It's not all sunshine and rainbows. Being a Magical Girl it's...harder than I thought. I learned a lot: from my friends, from experience, from loss...and from you and your friends."

Yui packed her lunch box and stood up softly. "I told you before...I aim to bring joy and happiness to others even at the cost of my own. The opportunity to truly cherish life. Not just for my friends, but for you, too, and your sisters. Our sisters.

That's my Justice."

This power we have...it comes with a duty. You know that, Harasawa-san...you've just forgotten it. You buried it..."
she pointed at the middle of Ayumu's chest "...but it's still there. Hold onto that light, it gives you strength. Lie to me or yourself all you want, but you can't lie to that Hope which is still in you, whatever or whoever it was. Think on that."

With this, Yui turned talons and made her way back to the classroom. She could only hope the dark girl wouldn't jump her, but she felt the commotion happening...and she felt the familiar transformation of her friend as well as something more...dreadful. Soon enough, the door would open up again and an all-smile - and all transformed - Yui would walk in, completely ignoring the Dark magical Girls...though not out of spite. Rather, she was seeking to avoid confrontation.

"Tama! Soma! When did you get here?" she said as if nothing was happening. As if they were not all transformed. "Tama had a great idea - let's go for a walk. I, too, would love to speak to you guys about some things. Also, I am certain that the President of the Rehabilitation Club would condone conflicts during class hours?" her eyes only briefly shifted to look at Touka as she said this, then she stepped aside as if to invite Soma and Tama to leave with her.

She looked at Touka because she was the Club President, but that other girl seemed to be the problem at this precise moment. If Touka looked like she had low patience, this one looked like she had an even worse temper... Not to mention: destructive potential.

Mila followed Mavis for the most part. She was more suited for close quarter combat, after all, if they ran into enemies. However, Mila took Mavis' words - about threat recognition and engagement - very seriously. She would constantly be scanning around them on top of Subaru's support. It might be a bit overkill, but best to leave nothing to luck.

Though it seem it was all for naught, for before long they had reached and fulfilled their first objective.
"If you and me succeeded, probabilities are the others met some success also. From the report Subaru gave us, it seems to confirm that enemy presence is low in this sector." While she was speaking, Mila was quickly cut by a thrown piece of candy at herself.

"Ironic." Mila said. Although 'Funny' would have been more accurate for anyone else. "I had brought these to share with my companions, but calculated that now was not the time. Was I wrong?" Mila said as she brought out, yet again, some pieces of candies she had brought for Mavis and Subaru when she learned of their sweet tooth.

The cyborg girl walked closer to Mavis and put her Iron Saga against a concrete destroyed pillar before giving her own sugary gift to Mavis. If not for now, then for later - the time seemed right. "Sorry, Subaru." she said into the comm, knowing full well Subaru could probably have her own stash of sweets boards her things back at the transport, if she so wished.

To her red-haired friend's comment Mila looked out onto the horizon, then back at Mavis. "As well?" Mila said, purposely on an interrogative tone "Did things not go according to your own calculations, Captain Limit?"

The teacher's gaze did not escape Yui, though she had no reason to think anything of it other than her apparent overflow of emotion at the speech. Lady Tamashi really seemed like a character and Yui did not know how to deal with such a personality. Furthermore, her reaction to Ami's outburst - that is what it seemed to Yui - comforted the girl. In a class where she was surrounded by Darkness, the Teacher seemed like an additional source of light.

When Lunch arrived, Yui took her prepared meal and also left the classroom in order to seek out her friends and, at the same time, explore the school somewhat. She could not help but notice how a girl came in to talk to Touka as Yui got out. They did not seem very familiar to one another, and it incited Yui's curiosity...but there was no reason to incite the president's ire by forcing herself on her or any other Dark Girls so soon.

After walking for a few minutes, and before the break was over, Yui found some place with no one around to sit down, right beside a window. As she got her things out, she noticed some people she recognized, outside, down below at the school's entrance. The new light girl with wings, and more importantly...that blond girl from the other night: Aegis. What was she doing here?

School days promised to be anything but normal or relaxing...Though now was not the time for any kind of confrontation, friendly or otherwise. Curiosity could wait, she thought as she got to eating her Lunch in peace.

Mavis jokes and her play on words were nothing knew and Mila came to expect them. However when the Striker came in to give her a piece of advice, Mila leaned in - partly because Mavis pulled on her - to listen closely. "Stay...cool?" she answered echoing Mavis between two of her sentences.

Subaru's report was a tad worrying. Mission had only started and already they had a missing person, maybe wounded or worse even. Mila looked in the direction that Subaru pointed briefly, then back at the enemies lurking around close to her. If she doubted her next course of action in any way, Mavis' next few sentences fixed it. With a nod to her team leader, Mila turned to the two enemies and raised her weapon. The distinct sound of the generator charging was heard before the destructive plasma weapon opened fire. The laser hit it's mark, and Mila deviate her aim so it also hit the other nearby invader. It didn't take long before the burning plasma cut through the smaller targets, sectioning them both as well as burning any vegetation that was in the weapon's path. Those were weaker enemies, little more than scouts.

"Now..." Iron Saga still on Mila's shoulder, another compartment opened on the top of the weapon. Multiple loud thumping noises could be heard as what looked like metallic rods flew off through the trees, into the air, only to fall back all across the direction that was to be theirs.

Mila had used Subaru's scouting data to calculate their approximate path to the objective, scattering her Psychic Drive along it. She then put Iron Saga back down, holding it with one hand while she turned to face Mavis. She raised her free hand into the air, only to bring her fist back down in a triumphant move, but a still emotionless face

"Cool as an Iceberg." she said, as if it was a fact. They were now ready to get moving.

"I will." Yui said calmly as she pushed her chair back and stood up, looking only at the teacher and Ayumu. If the presence of at least three Dark Magical Girls unnerved her, Yui was not displaying it. Not on her face and not in her aura neither. Walking up to the front of the class, possibly looking pass any look Ayumu might have given her when she headed back to her own chair, Yui finally turned to the rest of the classroom.

"Hello." She did a small and respectful bow before rising again, now wearing a honest smile "As I mentioned before, my name is Murata Yui. While winter break was a great time to see friends and have a good time, it was also tragic...as I'm sure everyone knows." That last part was added to make it less personal, as everyone in the city were affected by the tragedy that had happened. While she more than likely meant it, only other Magical Girls knew the extent of the event Yui was talking about.

She had stopped for a few seconds. Soon, though, with renewed positivism Yui joined her two hands at her chest level excitedly "...but every tragedy is a reason to grow stronger...and learn to cherish what we still have." with this last sentence, her stare met each Dark Magical Girls present in this classroom. However, it fell on Ayumu as she delivered the end of it. There was no way Yui knew the depth of her loss, but she had felt the hole in her heart. Others had greed or anger, but in that one Yui felt only, deep inside, sadness...with a sliver of hope.

"This is why I am happy to be among you now and start my new life. Thank you all." She bowed yet again and went back to her chair, content.

Mila looked back at Mavis when she pat her, acknowledging her display of affection and wondered for a moment if she should answer it in some way, but decided against it. The cyborg's attention was brought back to the matter at hand when she heard Subaru's voice through Neptune as it floated close to them, Mila looking up at the drone circling over them. It was an impressive piece of technology, to be sure.

Mavis moved fast, like she usually did, but Mila hesitated a few seconds. Her eyes went from her hand holding sweets to the Osprey in which she knew Subaru remained. Now was not the time to play social, so Mila instead quickly grabbed her enormous canon and followed Mavis through the portal. She knew what to expect on the other side: Mavis on the look out.

Mila activated something in her programming and her vision changed to allow her to see all kind of graphs, numbers and other useful information. This allowed her to calculate with infinite precision the ideal distance at which she had to remain from her front-lines partner to remain at utmost efficiency. Also, she quickly spotted the enemies which were lurking close by. After a quick scan, she spoke up.

"Mavis, Tangos on the right." she pointed her gun at them "Their identity as invaders is confirmed, Subaru's preliminary scan was accurate." The sound of Iron Saga's generator charging up was heard, but the deadly discharge never came. Instead, Mila lowered her weapon and looked at Mavis. "The enemy does not appear to be hostile." Specifically into the comm, she added "Leaving them as such and proceeding might mean any hostile engagements ahead will have reinforcements incoming from our backs. Should we dispose of them now, or take the risk?"

All the while, Mila was ready to fire if any hostile move were made against the duo or the Drone accompanying them.
