Dmitri Holmes, Capt. Petrov Griego, Sgt. Eldric Romeo, Zenon Drewziak, Dr. Nanitha Tabith, and Dr. Qualia Queen ~ Tower of Babylon ~ Location: Church, Entrance

The choir was decimated as the combined forces of Church's defense and Nanitha's babylonians overpowered the large group of Fallen Ones, Adjudicators, Guardians, Throne, and Hosts. The soldiers wove around the forest, checking each robot whether they were merely playing possum. Dr. Nanitha heaved her rifle as she surveyed Church's crushed gate. She inspected the blown fuses and the frayed wires.

"F26-Copper Wires alongside H31-Wheel Fusion Electromagentic Gate. Good invention, but still... amateurish." Nanitha scoffed as she instructed her soldiers to aid around Church. She was searching for a specific person... this Dmitri that she heard about. Beside Nanitha were two Hosts, their blue eyes ever watchful. Suddenly, some Church soldiers began to aim their guns at the Hosts, only for Nanitha to scold them. "These are changed robots, pricks! They're under our control." Nanitha scorned as she rolled her eyes, marching deeper into Church.

On some other matters, Petrov reached Dmitri as he let out a hearty laugh.

"I must say, Dmitri, that your inventions are pretty impressive! I've never seen a gun that spits such power like these ones." Petrov grinned as he examined Dmitri's invention. "So, how much do you sell these babies? Ammo included or it's like those other stores where they separately sell ammo?" the captain sighed as he turned to Eldric who was quite exhausted from the fight. "Where is Dane?"

Eldric looked at Dmitri as his eyes sunk to the ground. "He's dead." Eldric uttered a short but heavy reply which caused Petrov's fist to curl and twitch. Petrov's eye dropped a single tear as the man quickly wiped it away. Eldric stood up as he looked at Dmitri. "Pardon our captain... Dane is Petrov's sworn brother."

"Aye... We had some good times. But... people die in war... No surprise." Petrov mumbled in a shaky tone as he heaved a deep sigh. "Dmitri. Thank you for the weapons. They've been a great help."

Suddenly, a shrill voice broke through the air as, from a short distance, the three could already see Dr. Nanitha heading towards them.

"Did somebody say, DMITRI?!" Nanitha called out as the two Hosts ran behind her. Nanitha stopped in front of the trio as she signaled for Petrov and Eldric to lower their weapons. "These are my robots, got it? No messing with them." Nanitha rolled her eyes as she looked at the captain. "Who is the one named Dmitri among you lot?"

Meanwhile, Dr. Queen weaved around the fallen soldiers. Her heart felt a pang of guilt as her eyes took in more and more deaths. However, she had gained a new strength... Instead of feeling sorry for herself, she had learned to use these casualties as a driving force for her to fight back and use her knowledge to dismantle the Empyrean when the time came. Queen bowed her head as she clasped her hands in solemn reflection. "Thanks, Zenon." Queen whispered to herself as she took in a heavy breath.

Ryan, Jack, Gizmo and Javak ~ Robotic Rebellion ~ Location: Junalok-Korpus Road; en route to Church

The humans were startled as these rogue robots began to take down the Guardians and Adjudicators. The humans looked at each other as they agreed, for now, that these robots were on their side. They opened fire on the enemy Guardians as the rogue Host, Gizmo, tilted his head. In his cold core, Gizmo was certain that these robots were much like him, now, fighting against their master, the Empyrean.

Gizmo rolled from the cover of the shadows as he unloaded a purple bolt on the enemy Guardian who had sneaked up behind Jack, ending its circuits almost immediately. The five Guardians binaries were beginning to trigger a retreat, however, the alarming speed and ferocity of the rogue robots plus the humans ended their processes. As the last Guardian fell to the ground, the humans gathered around a lone Adjudicator. No danger, no chance for escape. Suddenly, one of the humans jumped from behind, and tried to tackle the Adjudicator. The robot began to fight back as the human raised its hand, a red metal glove being worn, and smashed it into the Adjudicator's head.

The Adjudicator began to fry itself as the robot shivered on the ground before lying still. The yellow core on its chest began to turn blue as the Adjudicator now stood up and uttered its words. "Rebooting system... Deleting foreign binaries... Deleting foreign codes... Error... Running on Tabith32 Hardware." the Adjudicator created a humming sound as it now stood erect. Suddenly, it darted to Gizmo, the Host, and began to repair the cracks on his torso and face. "Repair complete."

Gizmo then nodded at the Adjudicator as he looked at the rogue robots. The rogue Host then approached the duo as he spoke.

"Greetings, fellow robot." Gizmo's robotic voice processed. "Might I assume that you are fighting against the Empyrean as well?" Gizmo tilted his head as he caught sight of another human; a foreign human. "And you there, strange human... Do you not fight against the Empyrean as well?"

The other humans, babylonians, had now gathered around the three strangers, their eyes examining and, perhaps, judging these potential allies.

Dr. Charles Richardson ~ Reliving the Past ~ Location: Supply Base

Charles' inventions and supplies were indeed magnificent. He had some fine wares that could be sold for a high price... If only these weapons could be sold, he would be the richest man in all the world! While Charles was busy with his supplies and technologies, he could hear a whirring sound... As if the air was being split apart. Suddenly, a flash of light, and a large exploding sound occurred... About a hundred meters from his location, just outside of his base, a familiar sight came into view...

Event Horizon. One of the fortresses of humanity had once again used their Chronopole Transporter, and they had appeared somewhere else. Shouts of joy could be heard from the fortress as its doors opened and some groups of humans came about... It seems they had spotted Charles' base and were now headed for it.
aight :D worry not :) Take ur time :)
Well.... I guess things have slowed down a notch.. The typhoon just left our country fortunately... Will we move on without Monsieur?
Will be quite inactive... a strong typhoon conducted a siege in the city I'm staying in...

Dr. Charles Richardson, Zenon Drewziak, Dr. Nanitha Tabith, and Dr. Qualia Queen ~ Flash of Hope ~ Location: Babylonian Spyhole, Korpus Forest

Qualia cringed at the words of Charles. They were true, yes, but they still stung deeply into her chest. The 12 Minds sought to bring a new era of technology to the world, but as it happens, they had indeed brought on a new era; an era of pain and suffering. From the corner of her eyes, she saw Zenon also exhibit a surprised look; Qualia had closed her eyes, anticipating the berating and scolding to follow like the rest. However, it never came. Instead, Zenon apparently accepted her. Qualia's eyes opened in realization as she looked at Zenon.

"You're right... I created the Empyrean, and I can undo my own creation." Qualia smiled, a confident tone in her voice. "In fact... we have an advantage." she continued. "I was never able to think about it... until now." Qualia chuckled as she wiped the tears from her eyes. All those years spent wandering around, never accepted by anyone had dulled her ideas... something else replaced her genius mind; a desperate one. Qualia breathed as she gave a warm embrace to Zenon. "Thanks, Zenon."

Suddenly, a hulking figure appeared behind Zenon and Qualia; a Guardian with swords drawn. The angel was about to impale the two when, suddenly, two well-aimed Electrostatic bolts pierced its head, sending it backwards with a crash.

"When I heard that you went out, Zenon, I thought you were just scouting." a voice, familiar to Zenon, resonated in the deep woods. "I never knew you'd have the nerve to flirt around in these dangerous times." a purple-haired woman, clad in battle armor, was revealed from the shadows. "Nice to meet you again, Dr. Richardson. You have moved on from your, *cough*, failure, should I presume?"

Dr. Nanitha Tabith, leader of the Babylonians had appeared from the shadows. Behind her were more Babylonians, equipped with Hellfire gauntlets, and some make-shift weapons.

"Dr. Queen. The only thing keeping me from shooting you right now is the mere fact that you alone know how to disarm the Empyrean. You better make sure that you won't spread your secret; that's the only thing keeping you alive in human territory. You better make sure to remember that." Nanitha scorned in an annoyed tone as she turned to Charles and Zenon. "Babylonians have already engaged the two choirs. It went all according to plan. All we now need to do would be to defend Church, and make sure that a man named Dmitri is kept alive. I heard that he is a fellow cyborg, and he is quite of an inventor. I need smart people. Dr. Willostammer and Dr. Daikinee have been giving me the cold shoulder lately. Dr. Charles, and Dr. Queen, along with this Dmitri... will help me invent a cannon that will penetrate the Electromagnetic forcefield surrounding the Empyrean stronghold." Nanitha instructed in an authority-filled tone.

"Come on. We've got a Church to defend. MOVE OUT!" Nanitha shouted as she rushed with the remaining babylonians to help Church.

Qualia soon realized her folly as she recoiled from Zenon. "Well... I guess we better follow, Dr. Tabith. She has quite the temper." Qualia softly smiled as she went with the soldiers.

Dmitri Holmes, Capt. Petrov Griego, Sgt. Eldric Romeo, and Pvt. Dane Farther ~ Cyborg to Cyborg ~ Location: Church Battleground

Eldric nodded at Dmitri who had taken out one Host; the angel fell to the ground with a clatter as Eldric decapitated a Fallen's head off. The robots were pushing through the gate as arrayed projectiles took down human after human. Eldric rolled behind a steady cement wall as the suppressing fire kept him from escaping; in short, the man was stuck.

Dane, the young soldier, approached Dmitri with a sullen face.

"Sir! The robots are pushing through! The Guardians... they... are too...---" a purple bolt embedded itself into Dane's temple as the soldier shivered on the ground before succumbing to the eternal sleep. The Guardians were indeed pushing through... their immense firepower along with the Adjudicators' repairing capabilities made sure that no human could easily destroy one.

Most of the humans had now lost hope as blood spilled on the ground; tainting the grass with crimson liquid. Suddenly, a dozen soldiers arrived at the scene; Petrov leading them. "EAT LEAD MOTHERFUCKERS!" Petrov shouted as a barrage of 'fuck-you' rained down on the incoming choir; toppling one Guardian after the other... even the Adjudicators were no match for the inventions of Dmitri. Petrov's battalion moved forward slowly, but surely... the choir was being pushed back!

The other humans began to move forward as they returned their casualties with burning vengeance. The robots were decimated as the remaining choirs began to flee, only to collide with Dr. Nanitha Tabith's brigade, trapping the choir in a pincer. Nanitha and her troops unloaded every weapon they could; taking out the two Hosts, and decimating the fleeing choir.

Gizmo, Jack, Ryan, and Javak ~ Unlikely Allies ~ Location: Junalok-Corpus Road; en route to Church

The choir stopped moving as the Adjudicator turned in the direction of Javak. The crystal in its chest cavity began to glow as the other angels began to converge on Javak's location. Suddenly, bursts of electromagnetic gunfire began to rain down on the angels as humans, dressed in black armors and hoods, engaged the choir. The choir returned fire as some humans were blasted and torn apart by the Guardian and its Fallen Angels. Suddenly, a Host appeared from the road, firing a purple projectile at the Guardian's head, shutting it down almost instantly.

The remaining Fallen robots began to clumsily engage the humans... they were not much of a threat now, but, they were still deadly. The Host, its green-eye now replaced with a blue color, was shooting one robot after another. Suddenly, more Guardians, five of them, appeared from the shadows; shooting down the humans with unrelenting salvo of lasers. In response, more humans joined in the fight, trying to topple down the Guardians.

Dmitri Holmes, Sgt. Eldric Romeo, and Pvt. Dane Farther ~ An Ode of Destruction ~ Location: Church, Entrance

"I do not know where you're going with this, Dmitri... But I'll dance with your plans, for now." Petrov nodded as he turned to Eldric, and one of the younger soldiers, Pvt. Dane. "Stay with Dmitri, follow him and aid him as much as you can." Petrov instructed as he took his remaining men and rushed to Dmitri's stall. Eldric and Dane looked at each other as they had internal debates whether to follow a cyborg or not... however, Petrov's orders were absolute. The two infantrymen followed Dmitri's charge towards the entrance of Church; an opaque electromagnetic current that functioned as a forcefield and a gate.

Eldric aimed his A22-GF Right Handed Electroplasm Machine gun, as Dane did the same with his HO-55 Sniper rifle. The event that most men feared had come... the electric gate shattered in sparks as the outside survivors attempted to flee from the rows of red bolts being fired at them. A number of battalions rushed to the aid of the gate as a massive clash between robots and humans commenced.

The choir was composed of Fallen Ones, who rabidly charged at any nearby humans, Adjudicators, who stuck near the Guardians. The Guardians were firing left and right at humans; some even brought out their swords as they decimated one soldier after another. The humans returned fire with their makeshift weapons, toppling down Fallen after Fallen... However, purple bolts soared through the air, taking down soldiers every second... The Hosts were there in the forest...

Eldric and Dane returned fire as they approached Dmitri.

"Dmitri! I'll take down those Hosts! They'll wipe us out if this keeps going!" Eldric roared as he quickly dodged some projectiles. Dane, on the other hand, was busy covering Dmitri with his rifle. "Cover me! I'll try to pin-point those purple bolts!" Eldric continued as a purple bolt nearly dented his face.

"One up there in the tree near the gate..." Eldric mumbled as another bolt soared past him. "Another two meters away from the first one. The next one is on the ground.." Eldric gritted. "Three... Three hosts." the soldier sighed as he returned fire at a nearby Guardian.

"Those Hosts must fall." Eldric urged as he instructed Dane to cover him. The soldier leaped from the rubble as he dodged one projectile after another; charging those three deadly angels.

Dr. Charles Richardson, Zenon Drewziak, and Dr. Qualia Queen ~ Why I am Hated ~ Location: Babylonian Spyhole, Korpus Forest

So you are the Dr. Charles Richardson... I was one of the avid supporters of your paper and proposition of the Hosts! Yes, I did study your proposals as my dissertation back in Lyceum De Academia. Although... I'm sorry that your paper wasn't accepted by the committee... Instead... my paper was the one, unfortunately, credited." Qualia tone shifted from somewhat happy, to guilty. Suddenly, an arm wove around her shoulders; something she had never experienced since the apocalypse.

Qualia recoiled a little bit at Zenon's touch... Such a gentle and soft human touch. Since the destruction, the only touches she received where punches and spits. Qualia's eyes began to water as she held back a sob... "No... don't... You'll hate me, both of you will hate me once you know what I've done." Qualia shook her head as she held Zenon's hand; her small palms trembling with remorse and fear...

"If I had never entered that Research Conference... None of this would have happened... but my pride... I not only denied Dr. Charles of due credit, but I also caused all of these to happen." the young scientist began to cry. "All of them hate me, and they have every right to do so... I won't even feel bad that both of you will hate me... You see..." Qualia breathed heavily as her chest heaved.

"I'm the one who suggested and invented... the Empyrean."

Javak ~ Cutting them Off ~ Location: Junalok-Korpus Road; route of the retreating Venel Choir towards Church.

There was an obvious disturbance in the air. Sounds of distant battle were very evident, and it looks like, it wasn't going to end soon. The dusty road was disturbed as a choir of angels, led by a Guardian, stampeded through the terrain. They were apparently in a rush; acting upon a single code that the Empyrean had sent: Destroy Church.

Along the road arrived Javak, a nomadic fighter who had survived the initial purging. The Choir would spot him soon though... There was bound to be a problem: either Javak faces the choir, or retreats, risking a chance of detection by some unknown robots... Adjudicators were prone to their sensory abilities...
