Hmmm. Your character intrigues the Dreamers as well.
Thrum . . .

The Fireen was advancing in a helter-skelter pattern of jinks to avoid any attack by the Dreamer at a decent speed. Beneath the skeletal figure, a surge of energy raced skyward, as the EM field took hold of the armored Dreamer.

A moment of silence as the energy field muted, a dull buzzing, barely audible filled the air. The man known as Fury continued to close the distance, he would be atop the Dreamer in a matter of seconds. However, the Dreamer strengthened the EM chains that linked him to the metal he had anchored to, as he did so a Dream Fragment fell to the ground. As it touched the landscape changed in an instant.

Antire. The home world of the Fireen surrounded them. A camp below them, a camp as it was seen from the perspective of the Dreamer as he witnessed it. A man, familiar, woke at the buzzing sound. Bleary-eyed, the man reached for the communicator, it was easy to see he was a soldier, a warrior. He scanned the messages until his smile expanded, grew. Behind the man, the skeletal form of the Dreamer appeared as he read the message. It was from his fiancé.

The scene shifted in a microsecond to another

A scene where the man fell, he had been engaged in combat but was now tumbling down a hill, then into a vast hole.

Skallagrim’s voice rippled in the air, “Mandar Rane. You have reason to hate the Dreamers, however, you have greater reason to hate that which controls you. That which took away your mother, your fiance and your unborn child.”

Antire burned away into nothing. Skallagrim, shield raised slightly, the war sword held low as the gamma energy raced along its length, the bolometric flux emanating from the sword was now comparable to a bright star of the galaxy. The very air around the sword ionized and flamed, the energy was dazzling.

Far above the planet, aboard the Flagship, the Grand Inquisitor stared in shock. His hollow eyes turned towards the science officer, “Is that correct?”

“Yes Lord. The readings indicate that a highly energetic gamma source is on that planet. The energy signature has stabilized at that point. We don't know what is causing it to happen.”

Shaking his head, the Grand Inquisitor whispered: “I know. May the Queen have mercy upon us all.”

The EM chains pulling taut as the metal they were attached to pulsed with a highly charged magnetic tug. In fact, the entire array of metal objects, the tightly rolled pillars that lay tumbled and scattered in the lake bed, vibrated as the charge flowed through them.
He is talking about you, the conversation is disjointed but, yes, it is you.
I wish I had a cool character.
Each stride took Kolskegg closer to the Berserker and Cho. Each stride caused the swirling snow and dropping temperatures to surge forward towards them. The sword, drawn and ready, the shield set as Kolskegg roared with a lusty howl and defiant cry to Odin.

“All-Father prepare your great hall for the valiant are coming!”

Finding a set of broken stones, once the foundation for another castle, the burly Viking laid foot upon the top and hurled himself towards the two combatants. Swirling snow blasted forward in a cone that rapidly covered the ground in several inches of snow. The fury of Ymir was falling now, as the chill cascaded over the ground, the stone Kolskegg stood upon and all it could reach. Cover them in an icy frost that would cause frostbite and hypothermia in a short time as the gale winds carried with the snow.

Landing several dozen feet from the Berserker, dropping to one knee, and quite a distance from Cho, Kolskegg rose up slowly, “My friend, another fight then, between warriors true!”

A secret submission, like Melon says, is a great way to keep the fighters in the dark. It prevents the building of characters "immune" to everything that others can do. You have your parameters for what constitutes a "character" acceptable to this fight, evaluate each character along those lines, if there is a question about something send it back with your concerns. You are the ultimate judge of this. As I told you I can help evaluate the characters as a second set of eyes, but if you feel that a character does not fit your parameters you can deny it with the caveat that the player tweak the character.
Honestly I would, I am being asked to take part in the invasion as well. As an old man, hardly able to type I realize I cannot do it all.
@Seed @Gun And ALL COMBATANTS. Before this invasion gets too far along, I ask that things stay civil (as much as possible), that if things get stickie in a fight get as impartial a judge as you can to sort through it. We three have been through events like this before, let's have some fun with it.
Here we go! Tournament setup posted:

Any questions, comments, and of course applications are welcome. The goal is battles with relatively few flashy powers and more of a focus on tactics and use of terrain, which will hopefully result in some intense and hard-fought matches.

Looks good. We will see what happens. Hopefully the "newer" fighters take this opportunity. The crazy thing is it comes at the time the arena is being invaded by SEED and his students. Unexpected to say the least.
Gents, let's keep it as civil as possible and settle this the old way. Blood for the blood God and the best fighters remain standing.
