Between the 3 ever-warring Kingdoms of Sedrian, Kushtark and Ordon was, every now and then, a period of peace, initiated by the opening of the Labyrinth, as it was called by the most. A period of peace accompanied with the greed of many, nations, legends, entire mercenary armies, all of them coming together with only one purpose: Enrichening oneself or putting hope into a bizarre legend of actually returning. Whatever the reason was, the entire ‘event’ was, without any gain, hosted by the same 3 Kingdoms, a last piece of evidence for the once united glory known as the Ordon Empire.

It was at such a period of peace, that a mass of people, nearly all dressed the same, was guided onto a big, with all kind of engravings adored field. The Emblem of Teann Ch'i was embedded on all of the them, be it on their cloaks, the, for the misfits cheap, Cylinders or the more fancy Magitek weapons that the so called Conquistadors wore. One would think the entrance to the Labyrinth was some kind of giant door or similar, instead, it was easier and yet more complicated, the entire field was the entrance, activated through some simple magic managed by a collective chosen by multiple power-holders. Apart from that, they were send in in waves, depending on their allegiance, otherwise, arguments about the loot or who to blame could emerge, and while the Labyrinth was a one-way ticket to Hell, it wasn’t limited to just one usage per opening. How one could tell it was open in the first place? That was simple, the entire field was a simple light-show, a ever glowing candle in even the deepest and darkest of nights.

“All right, you all know the drill?” A person leading the entire group finally spoke up. “Everyone still standing here gets executed.” It was simple to understand, for the girl standing in the group as well those besides her, just because you choose the Labyrinth over death didn’t mean you actually mean it like that, and those not going through with their choice would be greeted by the other alternative: Death. “Fuck, they won’t really kill us, will they?” The woman heard another person talking, somewhere in the group, one of those who would most likely still stand here after the entering was done. What a fool she was, as if this public execution was the biggest wrongdoing in that false Utopia that Luthica finally left behind her. “Are you nuts? We wandered through the entire fucking desert and even further just to come here, do you really think they just let you go if you chicken out now? We weren’t made for our society, you should feel grateful to be useful at least like that! Not to mention we got some basic equipment to defend ourselves against whatever we might have to face!” Yeah, the basic cylinder that could hold 5 Crystals and had no other remarkables features, something that was in high-demand outside of Teann Ch’i as it allowed anyone to use magic, but compared to their usual weaponry it was like a Stick to a Sword. The only reason they got it was to boost their ‘value’, well, better than nothing she guessed.

“Alright.” With a self-asserting nod the leader of the group put his arm into the air, also equipped with a Cylinder, he triggered the fire mechanism and a signal flare shot high into the sky: A signal for the mages to initiate the entering. With that, the glowing intensified, more and more, Luthica could swear a few of the misfits bashed onto one of the Conquistador’s, heh, smart move? Trying to get some better equipment before they would be on the...what? Other side? She didn’t know, all she knew everything was blank, blank and white, and she felt dizzy, more and more, she wanted to yawn, but her body didn’t listen, were her eyes open? She didn’t know, but the eyelids felt heavy, and slowly, the woman lost consciousness.

“Urgh…” With the taste of ash in her mouth, Luthica slowly regained herself, desperate attempts to cough the foul taste in her mouth out, she opened her eyes. What she saw was something she would not have expected in her deepest imagination, a clear night-sky with a moon of a size she had never seen before, it was beautiful, heavily into contrast with the black ashen ground and the single...boned tree? Slowly getting up Luthica examined her surroundings again, right, there were other people, people she had never seen before, none of the group she initially joined with. But people nonetheless.

She wasn’t entirely alone.

Appearance:

Name: Luthica Cyrellion
Age: 20

Where do you hail from?:
Teann Ch'i is an independent self-governing Kingdom consisting of 6 Towers spanning over the Agarian Scar in the name giving Agarian Desert, once stage to the terrible event commonly known as the Spellblaze. Rather secluded from the rest of the world, Teann Ch'i thrives advancement in unlocking the secrets behind Magic, forming Alchemy, Technology and combined, Magitek. Thanks to this, and the huge amount of magical resources generated by the Spellblaze, Teann Ch'i is, even in a desert, self-sustaining and trade is mostly done for the reason of self-protection.

5 of the 6 Towers are placed on the cliffs around the scar, while the 6th one, hold by strong supports, is located mid-air in the middle of the giant scar, accessible through bridges to every other tower. Each tower serves mainly, but not entirely, a different purpose, one being the living quarters, another one houses all the tools and machines to produce good for the daily needs, a third one dedicated to education and theoretical research, the fourth and fifth one specialized for more practical (and dangerous) research and execution, and finally, the Bibliotheca Machina, which stores all the acquired knowledge and alike.

The government is made up by a council of 6, multiple candidates chosen by popularity but ultimately succeeding through a range of aptitude tests. Those 6 can freely fill up positions under them as they see fit. While there is no nobility or no apparent caste-system, and ones fortune is entirely based what good they bring to the community, a few families have set themselves on the top, producing prodigies on a consistent basis.

A sound mind requires a sound body and thus, the teachings and life of a citizen of Teann Ch'i is one full of studies and duties, basic education like reading, math, magic and physics, but also sports and different martial arts are part of their training.

Basically, Teann Ch'i could nearly be called a Utopia as long as everyone pulls their weight. But those who don't, well, those are marked as misfits, falling behind in one or way or another means death, death or being send into the labyrinth. The labyrinth, with its principles of Equivalent Exchange being very similar to the teachings of Teann Ch'i, is seen as an object of high interest, and while brave conquistador join the dungeon on their own accord, those so-called misfits have either the choice of death or try their luck in the dungeon. This weed out is a socially accepted standard by the entirety of the tower.

What are your reasons for crossing the Gate of the Labyrinth?:
Not fitting the rules of Teann Ch'i, Luthica had either the choice of execution or a slim chance of survival through traversing into the Labyrinth that the citizen of Teann Ch'i hold in high regards.

How would you describe yourself?:
Luthica has a head of her own and does what she pleases. Despite her rather timid look she can be very stubborn and hates following rules and alike. She can be very random from time to times and is capable of igniting the fury of the even most reserved elders. Rather carefree and happy in even the worst situations, Luthica is always forward-looking and can work as a strange emotional support.

And your morals and ideals?:
Luthica doesn't hold much of morals or ideals, everyone is responsible for their own actions and has to deal with the outcome accordingly. Also, she does not value life in a way a normal person would.

What do you consider yourself to be skilled in?:
Teann Chi's way of alchemy, which main-element is being able to dismantle pretty much anything into pure elemental essences usually stored into a crystallized form. Building, and using, all sorts of devices like mechanical pocketwatches, automatic crossbows or sawblades, including the infamous Cartridges and their Cylinders that allows practically anyone to use magic.

Any fears or weaknesses that you hold?:
She values freedom and independence, having that taken from her (which already happened to an extent) is something she hates. Since she never had many friends Luthica is also scared of losing those she holds dear.

Which part of your body do you value the most?
Her brain and fingers.

Born into the Cyrellion family, Luthica was put under high pressure since young age, as their formidable efforts have put high expectations from sides of the community. But every family has a black sheep, and as it had to happen that roll fell onto Luthica. While she was gifted with the same genuine mind as her siblings, she had huge problems in theoretical studies, often falling asleep and other strange patterns of behaviour. While flaws could have been fixed, Luthica's could not, or at least she didn't want to, ultimately leading to her fall into the Labyrinth.

And Tatsu, I never said that! >:L

Exactly wife mine, I am the one who says that.
I suppose I should say hello too, I was at work, sleep and stuff!
Looks pretty dead anyways :c
I won't be able to post in the next 36-48 hours, just assume Shinobu follows (because thats what she would do, WITH the corpse) and since no one takes care of her she keeps being emo and making vampires jelly.
I won't be here for the next 36 or 48(at least not to rp) hours so I didn't really wanted to interact with anyone.
"Weeeeeeee!" Giving her Onii-chan back his freedom through simply loosening from him they both fell through the same strange hole that just appeared! Thanks to the complex, scary and strange rules of physics the white-haired girl separated herself from her only friend even further.

*OMPF* Hitting the ground, Yuno would have been sure to be dead, not like she cared, but alas, those strange and scary physic things weren't in place anymore, but pain was received. "Urgh..." Slowly getting back on her feet Yuno found herself in a strange place she had never seen until now. Then again this could just be about every random place in the world. Not given many seconds of thoughts her attention shifted as more messages appeared!

Maou. You have gained the Maou Arts: [Maou's Mind] and [Maou's Body].>

"And so the heroine decided to say "Screw it!" and turned sides, now belonging to the evil people. A new identity? A new name? Petta? Maybe, maybe not. For now though, she simply decided to follow her suspicious guiding quest." With that Maou Yuno had read over the other messages as well, and with the description of Maou's Mind no one would call her crazy anymore, right? Right. While excited and, probably thanks to Maou's Mind, calm about all, Yuno was a bit dissatisfied about the line "like a game." As much logic as games were able to deny, it still put chains on freedom. But whatever. Giving out a cheerful "Onwards to victory!" She beelined for the castle as much as possible.

Right there were other people too? Oh well.
Holy shit this Aldnoah, episode 11 was all "How can it end without being shitty?" and now it ended, not even a happy end, but satisfied. I really like how my dis/likes for characters shifted over the course of the episodes, namely Slaine and Count Saazbaum.
