Name: "Christian Sands"

Appearance: 

Former Occupation: Contract killer and corporate espionage expert.

Personality: A quiet, seemingly shy sort. Behind his forced stutters, incessant politeness, false smiles and lies he is quite simply a monster without his favorite mask. A sadist and masochist, in turns, Christian, once his schemes are foiled or plans failed will be more directly confrontational and cruel; though there seem to exist some moral boundaries he won't cross.

Most, if they can move beyond his appearance and avoid rousing his spite, will find a surprisingly gentle soul; despite the Desire he carries. He is relentlessly level-headed and clever by degress most would not expect. Having lived a fairly long and tumultuous life, being thrust into The Game does not phase Christian. He seems to have a rather optimistic outlook, in most situations.

If anything, the world has come closer to how he has always thought of it. A bleeding cesspool, littered with monsters locking horns for supremacy. Part of him hates that idea, while another is darkly enamored.

Desire: To achieve revenge on the man who managed to have him imprisoned.

Effigy Emblem: Appearing to be a simple pamphlet, Christian often keeps his Emblem out of sight; as that is one of the conditions of its usage. When active, the Effigy allows Christian to create explosions of varying magnitude on any surface that he has touched within the last twenty-four hours. Regardless of his intent, everywhere chosen as the epicenter of an explosion will 'release' at once.

Bio: Notorious among the elite and wealthy, Christian has operated under many aliases. Well before coming to Corner City, he supposedly served in some militaristic faction before defecting. The truth is hard to discern, however, aside from his evident incarceration.

More feverishly will he speak of Aster Galluk, head of Muse Incorporated; the man who uncovered Christian before he could assassinate him. The grudge held from having his freedom stripped away is what created the potent Desire that surrounds Christian...and what drew his enigmatic Sponsor from the shadows.

Name: "The Last Adherent"

Appearance: 

Personality: One of the last among the Third Court who remembers the First Court. An ancient being, even by the standards of Sponsors, The Last Adherent has adopted this moniker as a reminder to all other Sponsors that the 'Old Ways' are still alive and well. A dismissive and sometimes haughty sort, The Adherent is always calculating and maneuvering. His displeasure with the current state of The Court is well known, but he is not entirely opposed to hearing out those of a younger generation.

A strict creature, valuing tradition and victory above all else.

Name: Marcella "Millie" Autumnberg

Age: 17

Appearance: 

Former Occupation: Student//Pianist 

Personality: Removed from the world, and more than a little dreary; Millie tends to wear a rigid mask of disinterest. Her eyes often tell a different story, along with the sly smirk she dons when observing or being engaged in something interesting. Quick witted, but held back at times by a heavy desire for "perfection" in the things she does. This near obsession causes Millie to often act overly cautious, and question even the smallest of details.

Desire: While hard to nail down, the most simplistic answer is "perfection". In all things. A world and self where flaws are discarded and ground to dust.

Effigy Emblem: A set of rings permanently attached to Millie's hands. On the left, they are white, on the right, they are black. Slick on the surface, and highly reflective; when struck together they produce an odd sort of sound. Like glass vibrating, or a rusty nail shattering. Truly, the sound varies; though the clarion call of her clacking adornments sends a barely-visible bubble through the air. Once the bubble is summoned, it will remain in place; unless directed by Millie's movements. If the bubble is popped, it does so with an impressive amount of force and fanfare. Up to ten bubbles can be placed, though only one may be controlled at a time.

As this Weapon evolves, it will adopt entirely different attributes.

Bio: "I don't want to talk about it. What business is it of yours, anyway? Or, to move beyond that, why would it matter...now that the world is what it is?"

Name: "Lanternlight Jack"

Appearance: 

Personality: Speaking in smoky tones, but well-mannered and considerably straightforward. Jack finds Mortals fascinating, and always has. He has no qualms answering questions or dropping hints, but abides the Rules of The Event almost religiously. Amicable and friendly, he tends to travel with his Participants; rather than simply leave them to their own devices.

Name: Kara Weissman

Age: 24

Appearance: 

Former Occupation: Test Subject

Personality: Capricious and cruel, Kara very much enjoys her newfound freedom. So long as no one is in direct competition for a kill, or has somehow triggered one of her tantrums, she tends to be extremely casual and relaxed...even when dismembering or dismantling something or someone. Surprisingly, despite her violent tendencies, Kara doesn't seem terribly interested being a Participant.

Desire: Freedom, plain and simple. Agency over her own existence.

Effigy Emblem: 
 As Kara's Vessel, the towering Silent Servant always seems to be nearby; usually two steps behind his mistress, or performing whatever tasks she issues. Strangely, it seems this Vessel can "overlap" moments in time for its mistress and itself. Meaning, simply, that Kara can perform what she likes to call a "Frame Skip"; appearing slightly away from where she was, or with a different object in hand. This ability isn't utilized as an attack, as the Silent Servant seems incapable of making the "Frame Skip" last long enough for Kara to use it with ill intent. As things stand, Kara doesn't mind her Vessel and often converses with it.

Bio: "Long story short, I was in a lab. Now I ain't. Never been happier."

Name: "Two of Hearts", "Two"

Appearance: 

Personality: Two presents herself with a smile and a wave, nearly every time she appears. The jovial sort, always willing to make others suffer a bad pun, she follows her curiosities without much thought. Quick to appear and disappear, quick to say too much and immediately fall silent. She seems to be a coin perpetually flipped. Though, some in the Court suspect that Two has sinister motives.
