I made a thing with words, as promised.

Location; Ballroom
Interacting With; The gang: Laurel, Dustyn, Devlin, Webster @McHaggis@MissCapnCrunch@Lady Hestia@smarty0114 The Monster: Atticus @Viciousmarrow The White-Knight Complex: Olivia @smarty0114

Vino wasn't exactly thrilled about being fed by his sister, as good as the food was the act was a bit too much for his social sensibilities. As much as he loathed to admit it, he would have to give this round to her. Still, every time he tried to get a word in edgewise to tell her to stop she'd shove another spoonful of food in. Annoying, if delicious.

"Look-"

His eyes widened as he noticed her take from the disgusting pile of spit-reject and he quickly locked his mouth tight and turned his head away, waving one of the white napkins on the table like a flag.

"I surrender, I surrender already!"

It was not a message Atticus seemed to have received at the other end of the room, as his tendrils violently ripped apart their table for no goddamn discernible reason. Vino was stunned, temporarily, as his support disintegrated and he fell forward, covered in a substance that resembled blood far too much for his taste. Was it sanitary? Was he injured? Was anyone injured?

"A-are you guys all right?"

Aside from his bloodied appearance and now ruined dress, Vino didn't appear to be any worse for wear, nor did anyone else as far as he could tell. Still, it wasn't quite time to relax. Atticus didn't seem to be actively trying to kill them at the moment, but that could change in a heartbeat. Until he was either knocked out or dead, Vino wouldn't be able to relax. The man all but terrified him, it was one thing to be an asshole, but Atticus was a psychotically insane asshole with superpowers. Superpowers that Vino, despite his heritage, mostly lacked. It was not a good match-up for him in a conflict, and with Atticus there was always a conflict.

He was getting ready to skedaddle when Olivia caught his attention. It was rare to find someone in the school who wasn't a complete asshole, Vino's circle of friends included. Instead she even seemed to proactively try to help people when she could. It was something Ryan could respect, especially since his powers rarely seemed to help anyone when they came into play. Still, right now she seemed to be trying to help Atticus, which was probably not a very good idea given the situation. With a sigh, he turned to his friends and with almost a defeated attitude said;

"You guys should probably get out of here while psycho's distracted. I'm going to do something stupid before catching up."

Not that he actually wanted to get involved with the situation, but until the teachers actually had Atticus knocked out the daughter of Poseidon was liable to get herself killed. Atticus, at the moment, was more liable to yell something like "Who dares douse the son of Ares?" and impale her than thank her for putting out the fires. Besides, if he actually burnt to death it would be less of a headache for everyone else on campus for the rest of the year.

Quickly he made his way over, and positioned himself between Atticus and Olivia, with a nervous glance towards the former.

"Uh, Liv? On the chance that he really hates water, maaaaybe you should leave well enough alone until he's sedated? Or dead. I kinda think the 'on fire' thing was helping with the second option."

Surely the teachers would have this handled soon, they wouldn't let him actually kill one of the other students. He may have put himself between the raging demigod and Olivia, but he really wasn't looking forward to actually being put to use as a Human shield. With another sigh he ran a bloodied hand through his wig and tried to calm his nerves.

There was never going to be a peaceful year at this academy, he just knew it.
Aye, actually planned on posting tomorrow, so definitely here.
So, I'm going to be dropping out of this, sorry. The style/tone of Iowerth doesn't really fit with what you intended for the setting (Which makes him hard to write for), and I think I'm also a slower poster than what you were hoping for in the RP.

Still, best of luck with this, and I hope you all have a great time.
Blades of Iron Roses: From Death to Undeath! Reviving the Heart of My 200 Year Old Sempai!

(I'll make an actual post here likely tomorrow, haven't really felt like I have much to add to the current scene before we go to the next one)
<Snipped quote by Snagglepuss89>

You really want Iowerth to smack her, huh? xD

Do it. No guts.

Blades of Iron Roses: A Fantasy Remake of "Patton"
It sounds like a good slap is what she needs after all to get her moving.

"Walk it off."
So, I'm still hammering out all of the details of the RP, but I figured I would plant this here now to gather thoughts and interest. As I stated in the title, it was Mushishi that inspired this idea, although the general concept is something I've always enjoyed fiddling with. Things I definitely want for this RP:

- A generally relaxed atmosphere, not to say there won't be tension in it, but this isn't the sort of RP that will be action focused. This refers to the content of the posts, not the quality, I want near-advanced level writing in the RP. I don't particularly care about post length, just quality and content.

- It's going to be investigative, but considering the paranormal nature of things and the amount that the characters and players will have to be left in the dark to achieve the atmosphere I'm looking for: Think of it almost more of a school RP. Your characters will essentially be students learning along with you as the RP goes on. They/you will have ideas and solutions based around what you've learned by examining the environment and asking questions IC, but the only information available will be from the GMs IC. In all likelihood, it won't be the players solving cases, but learning from the solutions and contributing what they can.

- The above might sound like it's rather limiting and diminishing the importance of having players at all, but the investigation are more of a framework for your characters to evolve and interact with. It's almost like a Slice of Life where the focus is more on who they are, how they interact with each other, and how they grow, rather than a game of trying to find out the answer of the current investigation.

- I'd like two Co-GMs to help me out with this one if possible, please. To help spread the workload, and make sure the RP doesn't stall because one person is having a bad week/month. Preferably people who have seen/enjoy Mushishi so that they understand the feel I'm going for here. In an IC context, they would take the role of students who have been traveling with the teacher for a longer period of time, and have the knowledge base to answer questions or point out clues to other characters.

- I also want it to be relatively fluid for people to drop in and out, although this largely depends on you, the playerbase. I don't intend for investigations to take ages, and the characters will frequently be traveling to and from many different locations. There are plenty of IC opportunities to drop out and jump in, and I'd like a lot of this to be handled IC if possible. So a player who isn't feeling it can, say, catch an illness and need to be left behind at the current village when they leave, and perhaps join later on the road if they're feeling it again. Or a new player is working in the current city and is somehow even connected to the investigation. Rather than just always killing someone off literally, or pretending "Oh, this person was actually with the group the entire time!"

So, these are just general thoughts as I world build and work out the details. I don't actually have a player limit in mind or anything like that. Ideas are welcome while I think of organizing an official OOC.
I prefer Demidemigod Factory.
Being demigods, it's safe to say the only one who can be safely underestimated is Vino.
