The Crystal Queen rules at the cities heart. Her royal guard is none other than the infamous Order, the elite knights of Senefer. The capital is also home to the Guild. Many flock here for knowledge, fortune, or both.
Priam (East)
Where the roleplay begins. Degar is like the capital of the island. It was once one of the safest cities in all of Priam- although this standard has changed since the rise of the Maw. Still, many apprentice craftknights flock here to be sworn into the service, receive their beasts, and begin their journey to become the heroes of the land.
Many make the trek to the shrine here, praying to their gods. The taint has not yet reached this place. Gentle creatures graze here.

Guardian Beasts
Possible Races
Mechanoid- Robots from the Machina World of Lorelai. They are aligned to the element of Thunder.
or
Oni- demon creatures from Silturn. They are aligned to the element of Fire.
or
Fairy- fairy type creatures from Sapureth. Aligned to the element of water and often specialize in healing.
or
Beast- more feral than the other races, these beast types hail from the world of Maetropa. They are aligned to the element of Wind. (The games show monkies as being part of this race- but I'll open this up to any kind of fantasy animal)
or
Guardian Beasts (Elements/spells/skills)
All Guardian Beasts start off with an element- this is their aligned element that is linked to the dimension that they come from. However- this does not mean that your creature cannot develop a new element or learn new skills and spells from other elements.
How Guardian Beasts develop new abilities: Your Guardian Beast holds great potential. Despite who they were in their previous dimension- they reach Priam being able to do very little element-wise. Meaning they (for a wind element, for example) could only use small bursts of wind for attacks or (for water aligned) manipulate water into attacks.
New moves and skills can be learned simply through training alongside and befriending your creature. Roque has studied each element and knows exactly what each creature would need to reach their next level of ability.
As for the mechanics of the rp and how this will work- I'll be handing out the abilities to your creatures. Once I feel like your character and creature have grown enough. All new abilities start off weak. I’ll update you each time their abilities increase in power. I’ll make mentions in my world posts, for example: [Name of Beast] can now spit fire! (weak) and Update!: [Name of Beast] can now spit fire [mild]
**the scale will be Weak, Mild, Strong and Full Potential. if you want examples of what exactly that looks like in the world I’ll provide an example with each update.
Honor System
*wip. This section will be constantly revised throughout the course of the rp. Check it often.
All characters start off with 0, or neutral, honor. This system determines how the world treats your character. Honor can be gained based on positive interactions with the world/story/other characters. Honor points can be taken away and even dip into the negatives based on negative interactions with the world/story/other characters. Your creatures will also change based on your honor.
With neutral honor the world will be fair towards your character. Townsfolk do not know your character. Merchants will sell their wares at normal prices.
With positive honor the world as a whole will favor your character more. Townsfolk begin to recognize you and even know your name (certain levels of honor gain you fans, which may lead to gifts). Merchants mark down your prices and some even offer to show you their rarer items for sale. Taverns mark down their room prices. NPCs are friendlier toward your character and are more willing to help you. Gentler monsters are more willing to be tamed by your character. In contrast, groups of outlaws and bandits will not trust you. Tainted monsters target you more.
With negative honor the world as a whole will not favor your character as much. Townsfolk will know your name, yes, but their respect will be out of fear. Certain levels of negative honor will cause Townsfolk to avoid you and refuse to work with you, or outright act aggressive towards you. Merchants will mark up their prices or refuse to sell to you altogether. Taverns will not let you stay. NPCs act negatively towards your character, although some will favor them. Monsters in general will not trust you. Negative honor, however, gives you the ability to tame tainted monster. Bandits and outlaws will know you and treat you with respect and sometimes even kindly. You'll have access to an underground network of items and things if your Dishonor is high enough.
Taming/Slaying Systems
A major component of this rp is taming monsters. When your player successfully tames a monster the following happens: a gate is opened and the creature returns where it came from, your players stats increase, your creatures stats increase and they may gain an ability. Some creatures drop items when the gate closes.
How to Tame Monsters
Each Guardian Beast knows a simple spell to banish creatures back through gates. For the spell to work, though, the beast must be held still or knocked unconscious. However, most tamers simply craft a weapon imbued with the spell. Once the creature is defeated it will automatically be transported through a gate, not killing it in the process.
Basic rules: 1.Not all monsters are tameable. This includes: other Guardian Beasts. 2. Your player can only tame monsters weaker or at the same level as they are. Meaning your tamer dressed in rags, armed with a spoon and their teeny puffball companion cannot and will not tame a three headed dragon.
Slaying
Another major component is slaying monsters. This usually pertains to hunting down tainted or otherwise dangerous monsters. Monsters are also hunted for food, crafting items, and population control. When a player successfully slays a monster the family may happen: your players stats increase, your creatures stats increase and they may gain an ability. The monsters body can then be harvested for crafting items (but only if stated in the post)
For example: GM Post: A wolf jumps out of nowhere and attacks your character. It is weaker than your character. Likelihood of your character winning is 70%. Possible drop items: fang, wolf pelt, gold. Your post: I kilt him. here is how he death. GM Post: [your characters name] has successfully killed the wolf. They gain some experience. You can collect the wolves pelt. Your Guardian is now more familiar with how the wolves of this area fight.
How to Slay Monsters
Slaying monsters is part of the job. And this is done by simply killing them with weapons not enchanted with the Gate spell.
How to Increase stats
Leveling will be a component in this game, but it’ll be mostly just for me. I’ll be keeping little profiles on each of your characters so I can determine how the world treats them. I promise I’ll be fair. Stat points will be dished out along with honor. So basically: if your character reads some scrolls found out on a mission, their intelligence increases. If they defeat a bunch of monsters last mission? Their strength increases. etc etc. But remember I determine the number of monsters encountered and if your character stumbles across an item.
Play normally and don’t worry about leveling. I’ll be keeping track.
Post Order.
Its necessary for the systems of this rp. So here’s how the IC thread is probably going to look.
GM Post: The world setting is blah blah. The mission is kill all of the monsters. There are 8 wolves, which are weak to all magic elements. Wolf A and B attack player 1, they may need help. Wolf C watches player 2, what is it plotting.. Wolf D attacks player 3, this creature is desperate and weaker than the others. Wolf E circles player 4, it is much larger and slower than the others, but definitely stronger. Wolf F keeps its distance from player 5, it might have a rare item. Wolf G and H attack player 6, they may need help. All players can successfully tame or kill these creatures.
Player1: Manages to take down one of the wolves and weakens the other. P2: Shoots a blast of magic at the wolf to kill it. P3: Is bitten but fights off the wolf, intending to kill it. P4:Uses a Gate enchanted weapon to tame the wolf. P5: Attacks wolf F to kill it. P6: Panics and runs.
GM: Wolf A is dead, its pelt can be collected. Weakened Wolf B runs from Player 1, their Guardian is now more familiar with how to fight the wolves of this area. Wolf C is dead, its pelt can be collected, P2’s companion has fought wolves often enough to learn how to Bite (weak) like them. Wolf D is dead, its bite left a minor injury to Character 3 (-2 health, +bleeding), its fangs can be collected, P3’s Guardian is now more likely to land critical damage against wolves. Wolf E is successfully tamed, P4’s creature has learned enough about Wolves to learn when they are near. Wolf F is dead, a pearl falls from its mouth and can be collected along with its pelt, P5’s creature has fought wolves often enough now to learn how to Eat (passive) like them. Wolves G and H give chase.
Player1: collects the pelt and ignores P6. P3: Ignores the pelt and helps P6, attacks wolf H. P2: collects pelt and sends Guardian to distract Wolf G. P5: Attacks wolf G intending to kill it. P6: *does not post a reply P4: *does not post a reply
GM: *after waiting a day or two for P6 and P4 to reply* Player1 now has (-2 honor) for ignoring a team mate in need. Player3 (+3 honor) for valuing a teammate over items, Wolf H is dead, its pelt and fangs can now be collected. Player2 (+2 honor) for helping a teammate, Wolf G is distracted. P5 (+2 honor) for helping a teammate, Wolf G is dead, its pelt, fangs, and some gold can now be collected. (Followed by a short summary of the now completed mission, my characters comments etc)
(note this rp is based off of the gba game of Summonnight. No knowledge of the game is needed to rp this successfully)
The island of Priam is a crescent shaped slab of rock off the coast of Senefer, a vast continent of forest, desert, and tundric terrain. Your character has come to (or has always) lived here, in the village of Degar. Where many flock from all over to learn the craft of weapon forging and to strengthen their skills. The profession of beast taming is to not only forge weapons but use them to protect the defenseless from the wild summon beasts surrounding sanctuaries (cities and places under protection) alongside their Guardian Beast. The monsters surrounding the cities have begun to show signs of being tainted- their violence increases by the day. It has been rumored that their behavior is linked to a cult that lives in the wild- placing the beasts under a spell to enrage them so they can push their own agenda.
The force up against this cult is the Order of beast tamers known across Senefer as the Guild. They are the elite- the strongest in all of the land. They are legends in their own right. The capital is their home. All young apprentice tamers revere their names; Andras of Storms along with his Griffin beast is the Knight of Thunder, Talitha of the Abyss and her oni guardian claim Knight of Fire, Brogan the Bad along with his sharktoothed tiger beast is the Knight of Wind, Gyuri is the Knight of water alongside his serpent beast.
And so the goal of all beast tamers is to train and join the forces that the Order leads- to defend Senefer from all evil.
Premise/expectations
A simple rp where the characters have their own creature and have the ability to tame other monsters. The players will be part of a notorious guild, but will start off in one of the smaller, lesser known branches. Originally tasked with creature population control and keeping them off of farmland, the guild has increasingly encountered the same problem. Tainted monsters have begun appearing, spreading disease that has begun to kill the landscape. The source of the diseased creatures must be found and stopped, to restore balance to the land.
**Roles have to be filled for this roleplay. Meaning your starting creature will be given to you by me based on the role you choose below. The RP starts after I assign you your creature. You can either have your character be a newly joined Guild member or a current member.
This role-play will consist of the characters traveling as a group all over the island, killing tainted monsters, finding treasures, learning about the world around them, crafting weapons, completing quests and, simply put, becoming legends.
Beast Tamers Tamers are born, not made. At a certain age (the average is between 18 and 23, but beasts have appeared as late as into someones 30s) their Guardian Beast will be summoned. These intelligent creatures are bound to their tamer for life. Since there are so few tamers on the island and so many monsters, it is required by law that all gifted join the Guild. Life in the Guild, until recently, is straightforward; protect people from monsters and protect monsters from people. Keep the balance and all will be well.
Roles
TAKENThe Cavalier (a fighting class. The Cavalier will have a mount/beast they can ride)by Heyitsjiwon
TAKENThe Theurgist (a magic class. The Theurgist’s beast will lend their power to their tamer in battle) for Legion02
The Sentinel (a fighting class, focus: defense. The Sentinel’s beast will be a shield to their tamer in battle)
The Illusionist (a magic class, focus: defense. The Illusionist has no attack output, so they and their beast aim to distract and defend rather than attack)
The Rogue (a stealth class. The Rogue’s beast aids them in keeping out of sight)
TAKENThe Cleric (the healer. Their beast will have some healing ability.) for iHxzardx
The Ranger (like the rogue but less focused on stealth and more on speed. Their beast, like them, will be a wild card)
Appearance: no anime. Drawn is fine however. Name/Age(18+)/Gender: Role:
Armor: (google some armor concept art or just describe it) Weapon: (your creature will have a weapon for you. so list a weak secondary weapon. Like a dagger. Or a wooden spoon idk) Guild status: (Newly Joined member or Current member? Also quickly list what you feel like your character does the most for the Guild. Ex: Night shifts patrolling the farmlands. Or herding peaceful creatures away from heavily populated areas. Or hunting dangerous creatures etc)
Stats! (you have only an extra 10 points to distribute) Health: 10 Strength:10 (Determines how strong your character is) Charisma: 10 (determines how well your character can barter and deal with the world socially, also influences how NPCs view your character a bit) Intelligence: 10 (determines your characters wit) Agility: 10 (how quick and nimble your character is)
Personality: (I’ll be really studying what you put here to determine what creature I give your character. But this doesn’t mean I’ll be giving your character a Demon type because they’re loud and “fiery” or whatever, so don’t drop any hints like that either lol. Bio: (Does your character come from the mainland? Or have they lived on the island all their lives? How many siblings does your character have? What would your character have been had their beast not been summoned?**after you know what your beast is: how did their family react to their Guardian being summoned? etc)
Guardian Beast (just copy and paste the little profiles I send you, you can change their names, personalities etc but keep their abilities, traits, and appearances the same)
Roque Turilo/25/m
Occupation: a knight commissioned by the Guild to be stationed in Degar to teach apprentices. Weapon specialty:
Summon Beast:
A behemoth battle hyena. He's 9 feet at the shoulder. His skull is the size of a hay cart. Weighing in at 550 lbs of muscle. The lumbering beasts mouth smells like a morgue. His growls sound like demons being butchered with a blunt sword. His horrendous appearance speaks nothing for his attitude, however- he acts like an over sized puppy when with Roque.
Personality: rough and rugged describe Roque well. When given a task he must see it through. He pushes his students hard because he believes struggle is the most efficient way to become stronger. He's patient and has a keen sense of control over his emotions. Its difficult for him, however, to concede defeat or error. Roque loves glory and power- and at times he may seem bloodthirsty and ambitious.
Bio: He graduated from the Militial Academy of the capital a year ago- a division that some craftknights take when they plan on reaching the ranks that work alongside the Order and the Elemental Knights. However he was chosen to return to Degar and teach. It disappointed him that he would not be needed in the battles up north- but he had no say in the decision.
Rules and Requirements
1. Follow Guild rules 1.5 at least 2 paragraphs per post. 2. Don't machine gun the IC. Meaning don't just rp with one other person for pages and pages without waiting for others to post. Be patient. 3 If you plan on leaving post in OOC how long you will be gone (or pm me) so i don't kill off your character for being inactive for so long. 4. I don't tolerate OOC fights. I'll kill your character and kick you out of the roleplay if you're being an asshole. 5. Anything over PG13 must be taken to PM. 6. by doing this rp you accept the fact that your character may die, be disfigured, be tainted, or any other type of malady I come up with for the sake of an interesting rp. 7. Same goes for your Guardian beasts.
ALSO I might make a quick addition to the CS. Stat distribution. So @iHxzardx I'm sorry! Ik i accepted your cs but update it with the new CS when you get a chance.
