Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself a bit more:
I am an experienced roleplayer who has bounced around various sites and chats for about many many years now, though off and on, starting with AOL and then Yahoo and then a few other places since then. I'm in my 30s and work a 9-5 job, so while I will try to post and reply every day I cannot guarantee it especially in the day midweek, but it depends how busy the week is. Sometimes not too much! I'm from Chicago and thus I'm on central time, for those of you curious about when I'll be posting. I prefer RPing 1x1 through PM or taking it to another site (a permanent chatzy, for example).
Roles
I'm open to whatever you have, really. I have always preferred to come up with a character to suit others and make an RP work rather than having presets of my own. That said, I do have a few favorite ideas:
Historical RP
-Ancient Greece
-Ancient Rome
-Medieval/Middle Ages Europe
-Colonial Era
-Napoleonic Era
-First World War
-Interwar
-Second World War
Really, if it's a historical setting, I'm likely interested. That said, I also enjoy the following:
Other settings:
-Any generic medieval setting, ahistorical/fictional universes
-Alternate timelines
-Fantasy in a historical but fictitious setting
-The Witcher
Rules
I am generally looking for mature, 18+ RP. You must be doing likewise. I can RP with either other men or with women. I prefer women but guys can work too and I am willing to play either role. I am flexible enough. While I prefer 18+ (violence, not fading to black, etc.), I do not RP just to get to those scenes, they happen because of the setting and plot.
I prefer the old para or multi-para style of RPs. A long paragraph or two will usually suffice. I can go more, particularly during introductions or as things need more detail, but I typically find very, very long posts to be tedious and make for stilted interactions between characters since dialogue becomes next to impossible. That said, I don't want to one line either. Please use proper spelling, punctuation and grammar or try to the best of your abilities. I am not a huge stickler about this. I'm very laid back about these things as I'm here to have a good time, not get up in your case about a typo or if you end a sentence with a preposition.
Hope to hear from you!
