Warm, inviting, and bubbly are only few words to describe the jovial character that Reese embodies. The young boy defeats the traditional look and swindling nature of a merchant, holding honesty and trust as crucial morals for his everyday life. His occupation had dramatically improved his ability to speak with others, and while it is easy to deduce from his speech alone that he was of a wealthy upbringing, he does a great job in confusing the ordinary person with his kindness.

Reese is not one to hold grudges or outright dislike other people, but it does not mean that he would allow himself or others to be treated with disdain. While he is fairly patient with people, first impressions mean everything for the boy, and he generally holds a consistent opinion of a person for the rest of their relationship. His youth does allow for a natural shyness to sink into his tone more often than desired, and with a life of relative safety, he is yet to witness the injustice of the people and the menace that is the Titans for himself.

Reese Kestrel was the youngest of three children, and the only son to a wealthy family of trade proprietors; the Kestrel family resided in the safe confines of Stohess District within Wall Sina. Initially spoiled and living a childhood in luxury, his father had been raised under the principle of earning his own place in the world, as did his grandfather before. The young boy had only known his immediate family for the first years of his life before he was entrusted in the care of his uncle, who lived in the northern Utopia District of Wall Rose. Unfortunately, at the age of six, this would be the last time that he would see his immediate family, for the years to come.

Not much sooner, Reese and the family relocated to Trost District at the southern end of the wall, where his uncle could better operate the trade routes tasked by his father. When his tenth birthday came, the youth volunteered to accompany his uncle and the other traders in their work, to which they happily obliged. Their activities all across each Wall and district allowed him to discover and befriend many other children, telling them about his travels and the sights he had been able to see.

Reese had been shaping himself up to meet his father in the near future, to prove to himself and his father that he was ready to inherit the family's name and responsibility. With three years of experience under his belt at a very young age, his notion had only needed several more years until it would come to fruition. What seemed like another routinely visitation to Shiganshina with his caravan would end up changing the very core of his identity.

I don't post within introductory threads often, or rather, at all,, but..

Welcome to the Guild! Always nice to have newcomers on board! I'm sure you'll be happy to find that a lot of others share the same favorite genres / hobbies, as well. For myself, I love fantasy, and gaming is something I do a little too much. I'm into anime but I swear I'm not a weeb

If you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask myself/others around the forum!
ditto
Well, after the colossal titan's attack on Shinganshina, there will be a 2 year time skip that'll put our characters in training. That gives those that start at 10 years of age the exact time skip to join the Training Corps.

Ninja replied above! :p

Thanks for the clarification!
I'll start making my character(s)! wondering who will be killed off first
I'm thinking he meant 10-15 when the titans attack/the intro post, because after the Titan attack like in the show I'd like to skip over to them in their training.

Yeah, it was just a suggestion, since I wasn't sure if we were going to only skip briefly in the same year of the breach or a few years after the breach. My post catered to if the situation was that our characters would be enlisting in the military in the same year.

Edit: Happy Mother's Day wherever you are! :o
Good explanation of the stuff.

From my understanding, the age required to enlist in the Trainee Corps is twelve years old; while the exact age itself wasn't specifically stated, I've theorized it from the following:

Eren's age in Year 850 is listed as fifteen.
The breach occurred in Year 845, making Eren ten years old when it happened.
He did not meet the age requirement at the time, so he had to wait a few years.
The 104th Training Corps did not come to be until Year 847, and that group graduated in Year 850.

I think that should mean our characters should be between the ages of twelve and fifteen / any upper limit instead of 10-15, so that there isn't any conflict with the designated age requirement. Like it'd be weird if we had a 10 year old character who would technically have to wait two more years in order to join the next Trainee Corps.
From my understanding, it's kind of like a report card for your character in those various traits after training. I don't think it matters way too much, since I (would hope) don't think the roleplay would rely on statistical percentages and etc in killing titans and whatnot, just things like if your character isn't a killing machine like Mikasa, then they shouldn't be able to score like 10 Titan kills by themselves in one battle.
