These guys we're going up against would make your god look like a mortal. They arent Existential level threats, for nothing. Ive litterally ate gods, yet Tamberlaine bothers me.

We aren't fighting anyone at that level. We're dealing with fodder.
<Snipped quote by Source>

I cannot immediately discern how.

Volume is an important question in defense.

<Snipped quote by Disdain>

I think he's talking about a literal physical barrier like a wall made of some real material, not a barrier made of energy or the like.

And logical defense through personal skill.
<Snipped quote by Source>

Elaborate, please.

Effectively, preventing access to a small region is a trivial task.
<Snipped quote by Source>

No barrier, unfortunately, will last long. One Blood Scribe would take a few minutes to analyze and defeat it—two, accompanied by a Gold Scribe, would have almost no problem.

Different kind of barrier.
<Snipped quote by Source>

I was under the assumption that we needed as many people as we do because one person alone cannot defend against our enemies.

Setting up a barrier and defending are different concepts.
<Snipped quote by Source>

I believe we only need the information from each point. Unless I am mistaken?
*looks to Seth for confirmation*

<Snipped quote by Source>

Can you elaborate? I apologise. We will open up all four access points and leave strong guardians at each?

Precisely. Someone who can prevent our enemies from entering the area.
<Snipped quote by ZAVAZggg>

I am inclined to agree. Losing the element of surprise subjects us to the potential for myriad traps that we cannot possibly anticipate, but with four access points to attack and twelve people, we will lose the element at some point. X, do you have any objections? Martyn?

We could very well open all entry points at the same time and then leave key individuals to guard those as they wait for the other team.
bed, ned

Night.
<Snipped quote by Source>

None that I can think of? Which sort of direct and swift approach?

Blowing a hole above the access point, plugging in the device, and leaving.
<Snipped quote by Source>

Hired hands, Scribes of all kinds, presumably loyal to Tamerlaine, but potentially more interested in life than money. Do with them what you will.

Then the disadvantage of a direct and swift approach?
