So it’s never seeped over into anything massively impactful then. I see.

Nope! Usually it’s for a gag or something.
<Snipped quote by Source>

But it’s never made you do anything evil?

I don’t think so. I try to not be a bad person.
<Snipped quote by Source>

And it has?

<Snipped quote by Ignacious>

Oh, I’m sure. Honestly kind of wish I was here to see it.

Yeah, usually not a very big one though. Sometimes I get a new hairstyle, which is cool.
<Snipped quote by Source>

So we’re discussing the idea of you being evil, then.

Yes, that’s right. I don’t think I’m evil at all, but the idea can have a real impact!
<Snipped quote by Source>

Fake things by definition don’t affect the real world. The idea of fake things can, though.

<Snipped quote by Ignacious>

Shoot your shot, I get it. Best of luck.

That’s it! The idea of those fake things happening affects what actually does happen.
<Snipped quote by Source>

If it can influence the real world, then surely it isn’t fake?

<Snipped quote by Ignacious>

My brother Plouton, or my father Typhon. They make those sorts of calls, and full disclosure, they usually decline them. As for the IA directly, that’s a load of people. Probably involves an appointment at some agency somewhere.

I guess it depends on what you think is real or fake. The second history didn't happen, but when the world is kissed by the absurd, anything can happen.
<Snipped quote by Source>

Still.

Don't they have like safety stuff or something?
<Snipped quote by Source>

Where were they a thing at all, though?

<Snipped quote by Ignacious>

Makes for a nice commute if nothing else.

Hrrggh...
*Jumps up and grabs the string to a projector screen, pulls it down, and puts a pair of glasses on my face*
Ahem.
*The lighting around us dims as four lines are projected to the screen, each broken into sets of two, with the top of the bottom two lines taking a sharp angle upward and briefly intersecting with the top two lines before dropping back down to its original height*
Consider the top to be our world and history. The bottom is a fake world and its history.
*Runs a laser pointer along the top of the bottom set of lines to the intersection, where a stick figure stands with an exclamation point above it*
But here, the fake briefly touches the real world and history. And even though the fake stuff never happened, it can still mess with our world and future! And that
*Releases the string, causing the projector screen to roll up into the darkness of the ceiling*
Is where the absurd lives.
<Snipped quote by Source>

I gotta say, I don’t get why you mentioned it at all, no.

*Rubs my temples in concentration*
Those me’s history becomes my history, but the history doesn’t become real history. Is that better?
<Snipped quote by Source>

Anything can happen in fake histories that didn’t happen.

Yes, exactly. You get what I’m saying then, right?

<Snipped quote by Source>

Not much you can do when it goes down. Basically a death capsule.
