[18+][FxM][Smut. Nonsmut.] In the neighborhood, thought I'd post an IC

Hello! As I start off this interest check tonight, I thought I'd stay away from anything too long and just get to the meat of what I'm looking for:

Warning: While I consider roleplaying a safe space for me, my settings overall, pairings and kinks (in smut scenarios) can actually become quite dark/abusive, and I'd prefer to discuss that with you beforehand. This said, smut for example doesn't have to be there in all rps, some ideas could evolve in any direction.

• I am an adult mid-high casual roleplayer, am open to smut with plot, and thus expect my partner to be 18+
• May be a bit rusty at writing, but I can tackle anywhere from one paragraph responses to responses that are a few pages long
• My partner should be able to at least write 1-3 paragraphs, more is definitely awesome, not needed though!
• Ideally, let's communicate in an OOC! I'd love to make a new friend.
• I only play female main characters, by main character I mean the one I'll be playing most.
• However, I can do work with you on the plot, setting, and play npcs/side characters of any type!
• Again, when it comes to kinks, I honestly prefer mine on the darker side to vanilla and can discuss this
• In ALL rps I hope to see a larger story playing out...I am uninterested in pure smut.
• I am online often and so can respond rather frequently. A day to a few days between...It'd be pretty sweet if my partner could too, but I am okay with it taking up to a week between posts. I'm not going to harass you.
• I prefer to roleplay here in the form of private messages.

Feel free to shoot me your own ideas if the following list sparks anything. Otherwise, here are my current interests. I do have ideas for some that'd I'd like to develop.

An RP taking place in the Fallout setting. The Capital Wasteland or New Vegas could offer plenty of lore to fall back on, but it could be anywhere.

Magical Girl x an enemy

Fairy x demon (in modern day)

Fairy x ??? (in fantasy setting)

Trapped with each other in a twisted game (modern likely, would love to be the bad guy as well as work with a mc)

Healer x Master (in fantasy setting)

Princess/Flamboyant type x Harden Veteran (again, fantasy)

Yandere (prefer to be the victim, but could try the yandere role)

Victim x Sadist/Master/Kidnapper

Would love to be treated to a reverse harem wherein mc has multiple possible guys, but I am aware that the workload for my partner might be a lot. In this case, I'd be happy to take on more work with the setting perhaps and other characters.

I managed to make it through most of the OOC creation, made a world map, all that... Before I realized I can't handle the scope of this RP, and I've probably made a mistake.

I understand this comes as bad news, but I feel lucky that I found out now. Probably be wasting everyone's time if it got any further.

Combining this with traumatic personal events over the past few days, plans for April, etc...I really didn't think this through. There's also issues I have with the story and setting not coming together as I'd hoped.

I'm very sorry! I was grateful for the interest and did try to work hard. And I hope, truly, that you can forgive me and not see it as a spot on my record or something. I'm terrified that it'll color the impression of any future projects. That said, I probably won't be doing any GM work for possibly months.

I am so happy to see the interest for this! Thanks all for checking it out, and I can't wait to see what characters you'll come up with.

The OOC will hopefully have more helpful/detailed information insofar as making characters, important subjects, and the setting. But it's a work in progress. I admit that I posted this check quickly after writing it. For the sake of seeing if there was interest before I continued.

My estimate is two, maximum three days, and I'll get it up since there are four of you!

@Expendable I like a little bit of all those genres, it depends on the story. It's possible to start with just a few key words then come up with a whole setting and plot to go with it...I really enjoy character and world building. The writing itself. Interacting with other characters. I'd say the only things I don't enjoy so much are slice of life, no fantasy or sci-fi or at least dramatic elements, and I can struggle with combat.

This is an idea I've been thinking about all day. The official OOC will have more lore, information, rules and character sheets. If interested in where this is going, please let me know here! If I get just a few to know it's looking interesting, I'll open the OCC.

Story

Death has brought a cold wind as its name is uttered since time immemorial. It's name, and its nature, have led to many human imaginings of the so-called “afterlife.” Various examples include: eternal damnation, eternal salvation, eternal bliss, eternal dreaming, eternal wandering, eternal nothingness and eternal rebirth. Wars have raged over what teachings are right and which are wrong. The opinion of the general public fluctuates with culture, society. Some fear it above all else. Some seek it. Some pretend it is not there.

The death of your character has come. Suddenly, slowly, with prior knowledge, without.

In all likelihood, the trauma has left their memory of their last moments...and what came right after...rather spotty.

Because your character managed to not commit too great or too great of an amount of 'sins' in their life, they've avoided worse fates and have been granted a privilege: Purgatory. Their Soul is in one piece. They've have their body back. Their purpose now? To study and work under the tutelage of an Angel Governor until considered fit to graduate to better places.

But Purgatory is not quite what earthly religions have made it out to be for so long.

There is no cleansing fire to lock one within. There is no established religion. Believe in Gods or not, your focus during your stay is on learning. Sure, certain names have become synonymous with the people and environment, but they are treated as general terms that can reach across languages. If you were to travel to different cities here, you could find different yet similar words being used for the same things.

The realm is vast and self-contained, covering what is quite possibly an endless territory. Its terrain is as varied as any habitable planet's. A well-worn, lantern-lit, paved road connects one thousand cities and towns to each other in a circular pattern from the center of the territory outward. Off the path and outside them? Dangerous to be sure. Beings simply called monsters roam there. Capable of more than violence, they have been known to harm, steal and torture Souls. At the furthest documented and southernmost regions, the Silver Ocean laps its oddly pale water at the shores. Any who touch it are doomed to lose all their memories.

Our characters have been reinvigorated in the capital city, Lahnberg. Formerly called Farchill in a forgotten tongue, it is home to the Angel Unity, and head Archangel Lim Araquiell. Massive metal airships carry members of the Unity to and from the city.

They wake, healthy, in dingy dorm rooms on a college campus. Dorm 12.

On the other side of an introduction by their Dorm's Governor, they will be given a task that asks more of them than anything dealt with on Earth... Something's wrong with their graduation process. It may not be coming at all!

I am currently enjoying old school super mario with the SMBX engine and the games people have made for it. I also enjoy pixelly rpgs like...rpg maker style. And Choice of Games games (they're CYOA books but with a lot more to them). I would say I enjoy big rpgs like the Fallout and Elder Scrolls series but I no longer have a good enough computer for that. :(

I've been away from it for so long! Dealing with low energy and motivation, a weird situation, etc. Now that I feel settled, It's important to me to get back into writing and using my creativity.

I may be pretty rusty, but I'm not new to roleplaying. It's been a joy ever since using asterisks as a kid. Of course, I graduated to paragraphs and longer over time and now to...not writing at all. I've hardly enjoyed video games in my funk for that matter.
