"No thanks. If you erased all my negativity there wouldn't be anything left!" Alex chuckled. He had some oatmeal as he thought over Melody's powers. "Is it healthy to just get rid of negative emotions?" He wondered aloud. "I-I mean it sounds really useful! Some people are really depressed, so it would help them!" He said. He busied himself with turning to Viola. He pursed his lips, sapphire blue eyes looking to her.

"Are we allowed to do that in the mess hall?" He said, reaching under his chair and lifting up the construct that had been following him around. It looked like a papercraft. Cube shaped, it had a jagged flap for a mouth, stubby legs, and a pair of googly eyes on either side of its head. It was quite alive, too.

"Boxdog!" Boxdog barked.

"I'm a summoner." He said, holding BoxDog in his lap. "I have a couple. I'm not super good at it. Um. Shikigami." He said, holding his hand above his head. There was a burst of multicolored smoke, and above his head hovered what seemed to be a 6 foot long sheet of paper. It had eyes and mouths scrawled across it. And they were moving, the eyes darting around. The other side looked to be completely invisible, as if looking at a screen that displayed what was on the other side of it.

"I have one more, but I'm not supposed to use it inside." He said. He shifted uncomfortably. He seemed embarassed about his powers. "BoxDog can do tricks. Shake." BoxDog raised it's paw, and it extended across the table, offering a paw to Viola.

Hi! It's my first time posting; which is also my first time forum RP'ing. Anyway, here's my character submission.

Personality: Abi is a naive girl who, above all, is the quintessential little princess, barring some few princess-like behaviour. She's the type to face trouble with an equally challenging grin. Act now, think later. She is fond of things that shine and is covetous of unique objects.

Magic Discipline: Alter Conjuration (Shadow). A special type of conjuration that relies on the host's willpower. This branch focuses on channeling one's inner desires, or true self, into a form or element that embodies how the host sees themselves as. The alter is closely tied to its host's emotions and psyche.

The most pertinent drawback of this power is that a host and alter cannot be conscious at the same time, requiring the host to hide, or risk being harmed while their alter is active. Both forms share the same memories and personality, but the alter is a much more raw expression of said memories and personalities. Where a host can hold some restraint in speech and action, the alter is unbound of such tethers.

Due to the rarity and difficulty of making single-element Alter Conjurers, some families opt to preserve this purity; even a strain of a different element would deem a line sullied. Only the highest families could elect their children worthy of even looking at an Alter Conjurer, let alone marry one. To be able to create a single-element offspring, one of the parents has to be a pure-blooded Alter Conjurer, and the other parent having no strain of any magical prowess whatsoever.

Gender: Attack Helicopter Homosexual

Equipment: a black frilly parasol used for interacting with things that she would otherwise never ever ever want to touch. It is a family heirloom handed down from Beckett mother to daughter. The male counterpart would be an iron locket bearing the words "Stand up, so others do not fall."

Biography: Abi comes from a lineage of pure-blooded Shadow Alter Conjurers. It has been this way for as long as her bloodline could remember, easily traced back to the beginning of lineage-mapping. Due to this, she had lived her life as sheltered as possible.

Abi, however protected, always found a way to avoid being completed inculcated into the high life. Her hobbies include collecting trinkets and baubles acquired through gifts by jilted suitors, or through trading with other collectors. She is currently in possession of the test tube of Edison's last breath, the first experimental Philosopher's Stone (it doesn't, and will never work), and a well-preserved crusader's suit of armor.

She enjoys staying indoors to read ancient tomes and incantations, albeit never being able to use them due to her power restrictions. Someday she hopes of finding someone adequate enough to share this knowledge with. If not, she enjoys the linguistics behind the spells.

Abi is also part of a two-person singing group called Night N. Gail

If Abigail was forced to sacrifice something important to move forward, it would be: her centenarian black parasol. Despite its familial importance, it's just a really old umbrella.
If Abigail was offered to have a single wish fulfilled, it would be: to be able to give the wish to someone who needs it more. She already has everything she wants anyway

Alex found his hand in Melody's, being used to drag him into the mess hall. "It's nice to meet you too." He said to Melody. He was putting up no resistance. If she hadn't, he probably would have gone to sit by himself. Flustered though he was, a part of him was grateful to him for forcing him into this situation. He gave Viola an apologetic look before sitting at the table. He had oatmeal and an apple. BoxDog obediently took a seat under the bench.

"You can turn invisible." He said to Luna. He got the impression she was reserved like he was. He could empathize, and he wanted to make her feel like she was welcome too. "That's really cool." The whole while, he was watching Melody and Viola. He didn't like fights, which was why he usually took the path of least resistance.

"Um. I'm okay with sheep. Sheep are nice." He said.

Alex watched as the albino faded, reappearing behind Viola. He was glad to see there was at least one other person that was as awkward as him. "S-sorry." He said to Luna, though he wasn't sure why. He wasn't exactly intimidating.

"I'm not a masochist!" He sputtered at Viola, very quickly and a tiny bit louder than he meant to, face bright red. A part of him wanted to call her on trying to trick him, but that might start a fight, and he wasn't much of a fighter. Watching her interaction with Luna, he was starting to get the impression that this was just how she interacted with people. "I thought you just got mixed up...Did you really think I'd go to the graveyard?" He asked her. "What's with the graveyard anyways? Everyone seems to be dying to get in." It was then that Luna was unceremoniously hugged.

"Oh! Hi there!" Alex said to Melody, bright blue eyes widening. He wished he was that outgoing. Then again, he wasn't the huggiest person. In fact, if she'd done it to him he'd probably have had a panic attack. "My name is Alex. It's nice to meet you." He said, bowing slightly. Why the hell was he bowing?
