@Archmage MC Thanks, that works! I was going to suggest something similar, if a portal closes on someone they take damage, but it isn't an automatic kill.

@Archmage MC You're right, that does make it too easy for someone to potentially nullify her main ability. I guess we should wait and see how it works in the RP proper before deciding what limits are reasonable, I just don't want her to be able auto-kill people.

@Archmage MC I like her! Just one thing, I know we've talked a lot about the portals already and I really hate to trouble you but there's one last thing I'd like changed: the "cutting in half" ability shouldn't be able to work on other characters, especially not if the portals can exist in air since that basically gives Marry the ability to straight-up execute people with a thought. I'm sure that wasn't your intention but yeah. How about the portals interact differently with solidified light (gems) and biomatter, i.e. they can't close over living things.
