Of course... They would be foolish to run out before Caster had finished their work. Liliana shook her head a little, disappointed in herself.

This is no place for me to play the girl. I must be strong and wise and... A leader is what she thought... But with Caster shouting orders at them Liliana appeared to be lacking in that the most of all.

"Sir... If you would please stay close to me." She spoke to Saber once more. "Caster has the right of it. Please protect us both until they are done with their work." Liliana went a little flushed as she spoke. One minute she was ordering for the both to run off and the next she was ordering them to stay put. It did seem a bit foolish but that could be made up for later. She hoped...

A wave of confusion washed over her face at Casters question. Eh? Parameters?

"Ummm... Sorry but I didn't really get a read of anything off of whoever that was... There was only a sense of hmm..." She thought of what it was she had felt.

"Home...? S-sorry Miss." She apologised to Caster.

"If there is anyway I could be of use to you though... I would be happy to lend you my efforts." She wasn't entirely sure what Caster was doing but if she could lend her a hand then she would feel a bit more useful.

Disorientating. That word just about summed up this situation in it's entirety. Liliana had not known what to expect. But even that was a bit much. If she was just feeling sick then that probably would have been fine. But the entire thing, whatever it was felt wrong.

I-I hope we don't have to do that much... She thought, but part of her already knew that it was probably going to be something she was face with many times more in the future as long as she was with Chaldea.

Liliana looked around her, she had never seen a place like this before. She recognised that she was in the foundations of some sort of ruined building. But if it was a House of a structure of some other nature was completely lost upon her. It was hard to tell if this building was destroyed by something or if it just degenerated with age. Well by the looks of it if something had destroyed it, it likely moved on from this place a long time ago.

Liliana was aware of the three other figures with her. She bit her lip as she thought of what to say and as she looked in the distance she spotted a man with a look of great surprise on his face. Liliana had never met this man before but something felt refreshing about him. Something homely mayhaps. She felt a bit of connection to him although it was too minor for her to place.

"..." She opened her mouth to speak to him but before the words could escape from her throat he had set off. We must have scared him... Sorry.

Liliana froze up a little as Caster began to speak. They seemed to be a really overbearing sort. It reminded her a bit of her mother...

Chancellor... That must be me? She wasn't sure what that word meant exactly. Mayhaps Caster thought it was her name?

Securing the leyline... Liliana felt like she understood a little bit of what that meant. Something like connecting themselves to something in the Earth... Or something like that...

She nodded along with Caster "Y-yes I think that would be the best course of action." As she spoke she seemed to shrink smaller and smaller. The presence of those who stood around her seemed so much greater than her own.

Lilianas attention was captured by the knight with the awe inspiring sword. She seemed to be of the very reliable sorts.

"U-umm Sir?" She started off with trying to get the knights attention although it came off more as a question somehow... Sir was what you called knights right?

"C-could you perhaps accompany me in following that man. I-I know it might be silly but I feel like he is a friend." Liliana was a little unsure of herself.

"I-if that is alright with you as well Miss? I don't think it should take long but if you would like us to stay with you I understand." She said again like she was asking another question.

Her teeth were chattering relentlessly. It was so cold here, in this sttange foreign land of ice. When she had thought of journeying through the world she had imagined clear blue skies. Beautiful streams of water and vast seas of luscious grass.

Speaking truthfully the snow had been amazing at first... She had soon learnt her lesson as she almost blinded herself by staring at it. No one had told her that the sunlight reflected off it like that... Also there seemed to be no end to the snow, it just continued to fall and fall. Well she didn't have much complaints about that aside from it taking away some of the awe it had inspired beforehand. It quickly became an afterthought in Lilianas mind.

Unlike the snow however... Liliana was of the mind that she would never get used to this strange building. Again she had imagined herself visiting simple constructions of wood and perhaps stone but well... Chaldea was very foreign to her to say the least. Even if she was here for years she would still feel like she was a fish out of water.

Liliana had not dressed particularly warmly. She wore the white dress of her ancestors and had wrapped herself in a fur cloak that her mother had fashioned for her. Whenever she got too anxious she would grasp at her cloak tightly and almost sink into it.

I must not be afraid. I must continue on my path. The lines she had repeated to herself since she had deoarted from her forest rung through her mind once more.

Liliana listened intently as the Director made their introduction. It was still weird to be surrounded by people speaking English, however she was much more comfertable with that than speaking it herself. She nodded along quietly with a polite smile on her lips as the director and their assistant spoke.

Introductions... Ah... Well. Lilianas cheeks were a little flushed thinking about it. She tried her best to restrain herself after realising she had gulped rather nervously.

She listened to the 3 other master patiently, she was still dreading her turn to come however her nerves had been quelled a bit after hearing her new team members introduce themselves.

When it was her turn she tried her best to give the other masters a warm smile as she got up and delivered a practised curtsy.

"Ahh h-hello. My name is... Uh you can call me Liliana!" She spoke rather hastily. Liliana was the name her mother had told her to use. Something about theur tongue not being suitable for others and her true name being rather difficult due to that.

"I am what you would call a druid! I am quite good at herbalism but also witchcraft. I promise i am not a woods witch haha." She let out a kind laugh as she tried out the jest she had been working on since her arrival.

"I-I hope I can be of use to everyone! I am grateful to be here!"

Liliana clasped her hands and bowed before returning to her seat again.

I have made a fool of myself haven't I... Her thoughts were pretty much the same after every social interaction.

Liliana feels most comfortable in the forest, feeling that it is an extension of her own home. Liliana feels like she can't rest fully if she isn't laying among the trees. She is rather fond of stories and songs, particularly upbeat ones with happy endings.

The forests themselves are considered family to her people and all the animals and life that are in it are counted among her brothers and sisters. However Liliana's family has a tradition where the heir of their craft is tasked with a journey beyond their home. A journey where they must collect knowledge and experience to return home with and help their people.

Normally this journey would be constricted to Ireland, however with the opportunity that Chaldea presents, a different path has been chosen for Liliana that differs from her predecessors. The chance to journey through other times was too great to ignore for her family.

The use of blood, bone, hair and other parts of the body from humans and animals alike to enact curses. Liliana is particularly skilled in the use of Witchcraft to enhance the potions she makes.

Obsidian Candle -
A small lump of black, wax like, substance with a small piece of obsidian lodged in at the top. Mimicking the shape of a flame however producing no light. This item is supposed to help its user carry out Clairvoyance. It is also said to be another way of sending messages to other candles of its like, or even visions in the form of dreams to people sleeping.

Synopsis

House Manderly is an ancient House with First Men heritage, however they were not originally from the North. Back in the time of the Gardener Kings, House Manderly once held the seat of Dustonbury, by the banks of the Mander (which some say got its namesake from House Manderly.) However House Manderly would soon be driven from their home of the Reach by the very same Gardener Kings a thousand years before Aegon's Conquest. Due to this House Manderly were forced to flee North, where they would find refuge in the Kingdom of the Kings of Winter and allowed to construct the city of White Harbor with the wealth that they had brought with them from the Reach.
Since then House Manderly has become one of the Norths most powerful vassals as well as the richest House in the North. Unlike the vast majority of other Northern Houses, House Manderly still holds the Faith of the Seven as well as other Andal customs.

House Manderly's bannermen include a dozen petty lords and a hundred landed knights.

Recent History

Lord Wyman Manderly 300-306 AC

Lord Wyman Manderly was a begrudging supporter of the rule of House Bolton as Wardens of the North, with the Lord Wymans son and heir Wylis being a prisoner in the south at the mercy of Tywin Lannister and threats coming his way that if he did not bend the knee then his House would meet the same fate as the Reynes of Castamere. It was out of the love for his family that Lord Wyman acted so. But even though he supported the Boltons and the Freys on the surface. Lord Wyman did not forget, he remembered the Red Wedding just as much as the other Northern Lords and he certainly remembered how his son Wendel was slaughtered alongside many other Northern nobles.

"The North remembers Lord Davos. The North Remembers. And the mummers farce is almost done. My son. Is home."

And so Lord Wyman did what he could to aid the efforts of King Stannis, although he was required to raise his levies for the Boltons. However Lord Manderly was quick to betray them and pledge their loyalty to the Boltons enemies, first for King Stannis and then for the new King in the North. Once the Boltons had been overthrown the Manderlys continued to fight alongside their fellow Northmen against the Others and just like many of the Northern Lords they and their people paid a great price for their victory over the armies of the dead.

Lord Wyman did not go on to live for much longer. His health had already been a dubious thing but the second war for the Dawn seemed to take much of what he had left out for him. For the remainder of his days Lord Wyman was a rather weak and sickly man who spent what time he could with his beloved son and grandaughters.

Lord Wylis Manderly 306-311 AC

Lord Wylis could be considered a rather forgettable Lord, like his father he was a very fat man who was mostly known for his walrus like moustache. However it should be said that Wylis was a very devoted father to his children and husband to his wife. And it was Lord Wylis who really set into motion House Manderly's efforts for their period of reconstruction. His time as Lord was a rather brief and unsuccessful one, although the acts that Wylis took to reinvigorate White Harbor and provide aide to the nobles of the White Knife were important for the future to come.

Lord Wylis also made the rather controversial decision to wed his daughters to members of House Umber and Ryswell, who were also Northern Houses who had bent the knee to the brief time that Roose Bolton acted as Warden of the North.

Lady Wynafryd Manderly 311 - 328 AC

Lady Wynafryd would be remembered as a kind and generous head of House Manderly, who committed herself fully to the reconstruction of the North. Although she understood that her grandsire Lord Wyman had been forced to act as he had in order to protect House Manderly, Lady Wynafryd could not help but feel an immense sense of guilt for the period where the Manderlys bent the knee to the boy king who sat on the Iron Throne as well as the accursed Boltons and Freys. And so Wynafryd felt that it was her duty to atone for those troublesome times.

The Manderlys tried their best to send supplies and manpower to the Houses of the North who needed them most and would, to the best of their abilities support the efforts of House Stark. This was also an important time where Lady Wynafryd devoted much of her attention to the trade and commerce of White Harbor, in hopes that they could increase the funds to alleviate the plight of the North.

Wynafryd, like her sire and grandsire, was a loving parent who doted on her children. She would go on to arrange several important marriages for her House, marrying her children to members of House Stark, Dustin and Thenn. Not only bringing the former Wildling nobles closer into the fold but also restrengthening House Manderlys own bonds with their fellow Northern Lords. Wynafryd also arranged a marriage with House Piper in order to gain the help of a Southern House and form a connection with some in the Riverlands.

When it came to Queen Daenerys reforms on inheritance, Lady Wynafryd was largely supportive of the new law. Being a Lady in power herself she saw it as a step forward, believing that it is high time that such a reform had passed for not only have plenty of noble Ladys had proven them-self to be capable rulers and leaders in recent history but for hundreds of years.

Lord Walton Manderly 328 - 356 AC

While his mother Wynafryd had been beloved as a kind and generous woman. Lord Walton was regarded as a rather cruel and harsh man for his support of Lord Jon Starks new taxation and his forceful implementation of it on the White Knife. In truth Walton was not a particularly a cruel or harsh person, merely a leal Lord who did his duty to the best of his ability in the name of his Lord and brother in law. It did not help his reputation in any sense of the matter that he largely resembled his grandsire Wylis, a very fat and soft man who sported a rather large moustache. Although he was a little taller thanks to his Umber blood he was considered by many to be rather simple minded and harmless.

Walton played a respectable part during the rest of the reconstruction period, although it was mostly following the path that his mother had laid out for him. It pleased him very much to see the North returning to what it once was and took many opportunities to celebrate with a feast.

Lord Walton rode north to Last Hearth to attend the wedding of House Stark and House Umber, both Houses of which he shared kin with. Like many of the nobles there Manderly got very drunk, although the very red faced and jovial kind rather than the angry and violent stupors that led to Osric Umber and Bael Redbeard coming to blows with one another. Walton was said to be very disappointed and upset over the whole affair.

Lord Walton and his son Cregan were among the bannerman who answered the call of Lord Jon Stark to march on Sea Dragon Point to bring Lord Redbeard to justice for the murder of Lord Umber. Walton found himself injured when the host was ambushed in the forests, however the young Cregan took command of the Manderly forces in the following skirmishes.

Walton fully supported Lord Jon in his decision that managed to avoid bloodshed, although he never quite got over his grudge towards House Redbeard for what they had done. Lord Walton would then return to White Harbor, he did not ever fully recover from his wounds and much of his duties were passed onto his wife and son during remaining years.

In 354 AC Waltons nephew, Benfred Manderly was named Master of Ships on the small council. A great honour for the Northern House and something that continued to allow them to strengthen their ties with the South.

Lord Cregan Manderly 356 - 379AC

Lord Cregan unlike his father is a well respected and formidable man. At 21 he saw conflict at Sea Dragon Point, where he would take command of the Manderly troops in place of his father. He would also take on the rest of the duties of his Lord Father once they returned to White Harbor as Lord Walton was not seen as fit to fulfill them. It was just 2 years later that his father passed away and he was officially Lord of House Manderly.

Cregan found himself to be very popular among the people of White Harbor when he lessened the taxes on them in favour of supporting the growth of trade and business in the city. This actually resulted in providing more coin for Lord Stark coming from the White North than the taxes had themselves. An effort that was bolstered with the cooperation with his cousin, Benfred Manderly as he was serving as Master of Ships until his retirement in 364 AC. With a portion of the Royal Fleet now residing and manned at White Harbor there was a period of growth and flourishing for the cities trade and business. This set the groundwork for what would allow the Manderlys of White Harbor to secure a lucrative trade deal with the Free City of Braavos.

Over the years Lord Cregan has made great efforts in the rebuilding of the Northern Fleet at White Harbor at the request of House Stark, and so far managing to construct around 70 ships that are fit for war with more on the way. As such many have started calling him 'Captain' or 'Admiral'.

Cregan like many of his line is a devoted family man, a doting father and husband he showed the same dedication to raising his children as he did with the Northern Fleet. While many Lords might arrange marriages for their children, Lord Cregan believes that his children should only marry the one who they love and that they should find them on their own. Perhaps the marriage of Cregans sister Leona Manderly to Lyonel Baratheon was what lent inspiration to this idea. However there is one exception, Lord Cregan is very overprotective of his youngest child and only daughter, Wynafryd Manderly. Who he refers endearingly to as 'me pearl'.

Realm Relations

House Stark:
House Manderly is ever eager to prove their loyalty to House Stark, believing that they are forever in debt to the Wolves of Winterfell. With the wedding of Lord Cregan Manderlys aunt, Leona Manderly, to Lord Jon Stark there is also now shared kinship between the two Houses. It could perhaps be said that House Manderly and House Stark are as close as they have been since before the War of the Five Kings.

House Baratheon:
The Lords of Storms End are considered to be close friends to the Lords of Winterfell, that alone is enough for House Manderly to embrace House Baratheon in friendship too. However with the marriage between Lord Cregans sister, Alys Manderly, and Lord Lyonel Baratheon the Manderlys consider the Baratheons to be more family than friends.

House Mormont:
House Manderly and House Mormont have a strained relationship. There are still some tension between the Houses that bent the knee to Roose Bolton and those who did not, however House Manderly are increasingly eager to make up for the past and hope that the aide that they are providing for an improved Mormont fleet will help smooth things over.

Storyline Premise

House Manderly is a loyal House who will provide what support they can to House Stark, in part to continue their atonement for bending the knee to the Boltons but also for their current kinship with them. The Manderlys as a House will do whatever it takes to protect their family even if to do so it would have them be labeled as treacherous and untrustworthy. A small price to pay for the safety of their loved ones they think. Other than the continuation of the construction of the Northern Fleet, Lord Cregan has ambitions to expand White Harbor as he is of the mind that for too long it has been the smallest of the major cities of Westeros.

Rhaenyra has inherited her families Valyrian looks, described as a beautiful child and declared by some to be 'the most beautiful maid in all of the Seven Kingdoms.' She is known for wearing her hair in a long braid in the same manner that Aegon The Conquerers wife, Visenya Targaryen had. Rhaenyra has always dressed befitting of her status, favouring purple and maroon velvet's as well as golden Myrish lace with intricate patterns for her dresses. Her bodice always seems to be glittering with different pearls, diamonds or other gems and she always likes to wear rings on her fingers.

Biography:
Born in 97AC, Rhaenyra Targaryen is the only living child of King Viserys I Targaryen and her late mother Queen Aemma Arryn. If the gods had been kinder then Rhaenyra may have had two younger brothers, however the mother above saw it fit to take them for herself while they were still in the cradle.

Rhaenyra was 6 years old when her father became King of Westeros and from his coronation she was seen with her father practically wherever he went. If it was feasts, balls or tourneys then the young princess would always be found close to her father's side, eventually the King even named his daughter the royal cup bearer and through her appearances with her father the young Rhaenyra was dubbed as 'The Realms Delight.'

However Rhaenyra was not just a shy or quiet young girl who could not survive beyond her father's presence. She was the blood of the dragon, her temperament reflected that through her pride and stubbornness. At the age of 7 she had convinced herself that she would ride a dragon. And so she did. Young Rhaenyra chose a young dragon to take flight into the skies above, a dragon that she would name 'Syrax'. After a goddess of Old Valyria. Syrax may have been young, however she was a large and formidable beast who prior to Rhaenyra had no previous rider. She is known for her yellow scales and fierce appetite.

Rhaenyra was both charming and daring, as well as sulky and wrathful. Perhaps this is why she had found herself being captivated by her uncle, Daemon Targaryen. Her uncle would often bring her exotic gifts from across the Narrow Sea and was known to often keep her company. Another man who had caught her eye from an early age was Ser Criston Cole, who had defeated her uncle Daemon at both the melee and the jousts in the tourney celebrating her fathers ascension to the crown. When Ser Criston joined the kingsguard the young Rhaenyra had become even more smitten with him, calling him her 'White Knight' and requesting that Ser Criston should be her own personal guard, which her father allowed. Since then Ser Criston has always accompanied Rhaenyra to public events as her personal protector and always carries her favour whenever he enters the lists of a tourney.

Following the death of her mother, Queen Aemma Arryn, King Viserys named his daughter Rhaenyra his heir and Princess of Dragonstone. He had all the lords of the seven kingdoms swear fealty to her and promise to honour and defend her rights as his successor.

However only a year after he mothers death, King Viserys remarried. Initially Rhaenyra got along fine with her new stepmother, the Queen Alicent Hightower, however things soon changed once Alicent had given birth to two sons, Aegon and Aemond Targaryen. King Viserys did not proclaim either of these sons his heir however, that still belonged to Rhaenyra. For now...

That did not do much to stop some of the Lords of the realm to continue questioning King Viserys on the matters of succession, the Hand of the King, Ser Otto Hightower being one of the main members of court who pressed the issue. Even after Ser Otto was dismissed as hand it had already become clear that two factions had formed within the court. One supporting Rhaenyra and the other supporting Queen Alicent and her sons.

Due to the ruling of the Great Council at Harrenhal in 101AC, many lords of the realm believed that the males of the Targaryen family should take precedent over the females. Meaning that a female heir should be passed over for a male heir as the paternal line was argued to be more favourable than the maternal in the eyes of the realm. This along with the faction supporting Queen Alicent means that Rhaenyras position as heir is greatly threatened. Rhaenyra however is far to proud and far to spirited to simply set by and let the Queen and her men have their way. She means to remain as heir to the Iron Throne and will do anything that is in her power to make sure that comes to pass. She will not allow herself to be passed-over as her aunt Rhaenys had.
