Chatter and murmurs spread across the members at the mention of the names and how the bases had been compromised. Some of them were desperate to know what happened whilst others where just curious, but too afraid to pipe up and ask. That was until one brave fellow dared to ask the question.

“What happened to Iris? We know Regis was killed; may he rest in peace… but. What happened to her?”

Thomas instantly cringed at the idea someone had dared to ask, there was no beating around the bush that Ethan was still touchy on this subject and he only hoped it would spark a fit of rage. Glancing over at Ethan he could see the colour had washed from his face, a flicked of anger in his eyes and then resentment. Shaking his head Thomas turned to the group and went to address them himself but was cut off when Ethan finally spoke.

“Most likely dead, it hasn’t been confirmed but why would the Capital need too? They only needed to confirm the leader’s death, she wasn’t the next leader. Just his daughter.” Strangely enough Ethan was so calm with his words, although inside he was raging talking about her because he was still not over what she had done to him. “We act as if she is dead, whether or not that will be the case…”

“But you rescued her last time, can we not do that again?”

“DO YOU REALLY THINK WE HAVE THE RESOURCE FOR THAT?” Ethan couldn’t help but flare up at the interruption, especially one of risking his life to rescue her when he had done that once already. Only to find out she had been with someone else, the enemy who she was supposed to kill. “Sorry… but. It was hard enough getting out the first time, security will be different. More high-tech, more intense and we have to accept her as a loss.”

Will you though? Accept her as a loss. Thomas thought to himself as he looked towards the member who had spoken up on this matter, flashing him a look to shut up because he didn’t want Ethan to explode.

“Regardless. We have lost plenty of people to this rebellion, the Capital probably think they have us on the ropes. They don’t. We still have spirit; we still have our lives and it’s time we plan on how we can bring down the crown. For good.” Ethan nodded as he commanded the room before him, his anger subsiding and he didn’t feel the need to punch the idiot who brought up the subject that he currently hated.

“I still have some good connections that will help, I’ve called in a favour to get us food and new clothes tonight.” Thomas smiled as he watched the faces before them all light up happily at the idea of food and fresh clothing. “It will be here within the hour, for now. Let’s talk strategies.” Nodding back to Ethan who inhaled deeply to deepen their discussion.

Ethan had begun to explain various different plants to them all, already he had thought on how to get them to the new base without getting caught. Some would arrive in hours, other days, but it was the safest option whilst numbers were low. Ethan began to describe and pitch ideas on what kind of plans they could use to ill the King and his heir. Every so often as Ethan would talk about the Prince his voice would raise, anger was there but the men took it as passion for the cause. Reality was that Ethan was jealous of the man, he had a deep hatred for him and he knew he would stop at nothing until either one of them was dead.
Oh deffo! I don't think she will be able to stay sad around them. They will deffo lift her spirits which will be so nice :3

Begrudgingly Ethan had allowed Thomas to begin cleaning his wounds, he allowed the other to deal with the minor cut to the hand first and everything else before working his way up to his eye. In truth Ethan feared the worst for his left eye, they had put this patch over it from the moment it was wounded, and blood continuously spilled from it. They had denied the severity of it, Ethan stated it was just a cut and it would be fine, he would be able to see out of it no problem but in reality he hadn’t dared to open it up yet fearing to see nothing but black from that eye.

Hours had passed reaching early evening, arguments between Ethan and Thomas over his wounds passed the time by until Ethan had finally allowed him to check it over. Ethans worst fears had been confirmed when he finally opened his left eye, blood poured out and all he could see was black. The damage was beyond repair for his eyes and he grimaced as Thomas attentively sorted out that horrible wound. It only added to his inner rage, his anger for the crown and how they had treated him. And the districts. He had to remind himself of that point because deep down he was gaining a rather unhealthy obsession with Caspain.

Whilst Thomas dealt with Ethan other members of the rebellion had joined the long chats, assisted in making plans to get back to Tongsen and the business district to create a new base of operations. Looking at all the members before him he could see how the numbers had dwindled, but here remained the few that were loyal to him and the rebellion. No one commented on his frightful eye wound, probably for good reason because Ethan knew he would have snapped at them had they made a stupid comment over it.

“Right, we can all agree it’s been a long day. I think I have tended to most of everyone’s wounds by now.” Thomas smiled looking around the room at the few members who were still here. Currently they had made it to his own fathers home in the district with the prison, thankfully the blast form the prison hadn’t left much damage to this district, but he knew it would only a matter of time before soldiers would fan out in the districts picking up the last remaining members.

“So, we have decided to set up a new base, Tongsen, they have no reason to go back there now. It’s likely that the Nox-Fleuret line is dead.”

Ethan folded his arms holding back the scoffs, the others didn’t know about her betrayal in full like he did. His father had covered it up with his wild plans that wouldn’t work. “Let’s not go into it.”

“Right…” Thomas sighed shaking his head as he pulled out some papers handing them around, “We all need to take a different route. We have no supplies, materials or a way to drive. It will look suspicious if we travel in a group together and they will most likely be trying to flush the rest of us out.”

“What about that secret base outside of Tongsen?” One of them perked up.

“Compromised, you really think they didn’t get that information from Regis? Or his daughter for that matter. We will be going where I say we are.” Ethan snapped silencing one of the members from their suggestion.

"O-Oh right, sorry."

Sounds good to me! I have some bits I can write from Iris' pov.

I was thinking how she'd suffer from a nightmare and the docs forced her into a sleep after being alerted by Harry (cause I imagine he'd be hella uncomfortable sitting there with it going on.) Her mind is pretty all over the place rn. So I'll probably write about her pov of that :3

For now it will be focused on Ethan until tomorrow~
Bless his friends ;A;

So willing to help they are so sweet :3

Did you want me to move it to after Cas' nap? I can go into detail about Ethan and their plans during the skip :3
Haha yeah very true, she can get in her own head a lot too.

I forgot how much anger Ethan has, it's going to be so fun planning another attempt at the crown haha
“Ethan, you should take the painkillers.”

Scoffing Ethan could hear the audible sigh of Thomas who by now was probably getting sick of him and his anger that he couldn’t let go. Who could blame him though? He had been betrayed on several occasions by someone he thought he could love all for the crown which had destroyed the districts. “I. Am. Fine.” Cold words left his lips as he drummed his fingers against the table, his other hand gripping the mirror so hard blood started to run down the mirror dripping to the floor.

“Ethan! Pay attention, acting this way you will kill what’s last of the rebellion.” Thomas snapped forcing Ethan to uncurl his hand and reveal the shard of mirror he had gripped so tight. Tutting to himself as he shook his head, he threw it to the floor and got some tissue to clean up the wound. “I don’t know what the hell is wrong with you, but you need to man the fuck up. I get it, they killed your dad, but they also killed most of the rebellion in the attack against that prison. The prince is probably dead along with that whore who betrayed you.”

“NO THEY DIDN’T!” Ethan raged as he pulled out a phone, he had swiped it from one of the security team members he had shot in the fight. It had no classified information on it, but it did have contacts and personal information about the guard. “Idiot brought his personal phone along.” Muttering under his breath as he unlocked the device and showed it to Thomas, the latest headline reading Prince returns safe and sound. “HE. IS. SAFE.”

Shaking his head Thomas snatched the phone and began to read the article sighing heavily, “Well. I didn’t expect them to get it out alive, or for him to make it. You did quite the number on him. Iris is probably being executed as we speak, there’s no way they’ll let her off the hook.”

“Oh, I bet they will. I bet HE will. That stupid Prince will find a way. They are both alive and need to pay. They caused my father’s death and they will pay for it.”

“Alright Ethan, they will pay for it. You know the rebellion is still behind you. We can regroup, reform and get some more members? There is only a dozen of us now. Think though Ethan, they’ve probably questioned her, she knows certain locations and has probably given them up.” Thomas frowned as he picked up the bottle of pills and pushed them into Ethans hands. “We can’t move on out of Tonseng, I bet that’s compromised. We will have to start thinking of new places.”

Where? Bel Bicis is in a state beyond repair, like the prison now.” Ethan hissed as he begrudgingly took the bottle of pills opening it up and pouring a load into his mouth. The pain for his lost eye was intense, he couldn’t handle it without feeling angry and wanting to punch someone. Crunching the painkillers in his mouth he took a glass of water washing out the awful taste of the medicine.

“Tonseng has plenty of empty shops we can use for base, no one is going to buy a building there. Not with everything going on. I say we use that as a base for now. There’s only a few of us so it will be perfect.” Thomas offered a smile as he looked at Ethan who was mulling the idea over.
Omg this is so exciting!!

I can't wait now :3 I'm sure Iris will be happy never stepping foot in a prison again, she really hates them as well as hospitals funnily enough xD
Looking up to watch Caspain leave Iris felt a pang of guilt, she was putting him in a ridiculously hard situation. It would have been better had we just ignored each other, not let ourselves get tangled up with one another. It was stupid thinking we could freely love one another, that kind of stuff happens in stories not real life. Berating herself she settled back down on the bed to get some rest feeling defeated and like she had lost already, but the one thing she hadn’t lost was the fact that through it all Caspain was still alive and had made it back home.

He will be a fair ruler, I’m sure. Cas has experienced so many new things in a very short amount of time, he won’t forget the people that helped in the districts. At least if I die, I know their fate will improve, if not now then in time because he won’t sit idly by letting it continue. I believe in him. Closing her eyes, she turned on her side grimacing as she still felt sore, the pain was still there but hopefully with some rest it would subside. Plus, she was in a hospital, not the prison right now so she was in the best place. Even if she was a prisoner, they had kept her alive, they could have left her to die in that cell and a part of her wondered what would have happened if they had? Would it have been swept under the rug, she wouldn’t have had a funeral, no one would be able to collect her.

What would have happened to my body? A rather grim thought crossed her mind as she thought on what would have happened if she had died in that cell. It’s not like she had an affair, any more or land. No will, but then only rich people had wills because they had items and belongings to pass down in life. There wouldn’t be a funeral because there was no one to attend, Maisie would have of course, but they wouldn’t tell her she was dead. Would it even get announce of her death? It’s not like anyone cared about her, well Cas did of course but her death was nothing to the Capital. Nor the rebels after she had betrayed them.

It doesn’t matter, I need to shut my brain off and get some sleep. It was hard to just turn her thoughts off, they continued to plague her as she fell into an uneasy sleep with a frown on her face.

“Ethan, I’ve managed to pull in some favours, and I’ve got some painkillers. I’ll have to clean out that wound again, it will hurt.”

Ethan growled in response, his hand smacking away the tiny bottle of pills from the others hand. White skin covered in bruises, blood stained in various places and gashes adorned his body. They had just barely made it out of the prison with a lot of lives lost, one of them had been his fathers and he would never forgive the Crown. Ethan would never forgive Iris. Grabbing a broken shard of mirror from the table he raised it to his face once more, anger seethed through him as he looked at his reflection. Streaks of blood covered the left half of his face with a blood stained eyepatch over his left eye, an injury that he had received from the fight with the military.
Awh ;A;

That's quite the plan brewing, I will be fun to see Miles and Jay a bit more! Iris would feel so awkward in their home though omg, she would try to do things around the house like let me help? Hahaha

Ohhhhh Jacob finding out would be so interesting too! Cause I can imagine his father not reacting well to finding out she has escaped haha.

Yeah I'll probably flit between povs :3 Not much more I can do with Iris right now haha.
