Whilst Iris had changed, she thought on his words, he didn’t date models because of the drama and trouble it caused. It made her curious about the subject and she didn’t let it drop when she had returned in the new outfit, “So models are not worth the trouble… So, what is your type? I thought all the high born boys would want some sort of model, they must look stunning.” To her it was innocent question, she wasn’t interested in him in the slightest but she wanted to know why he wasn’t interested in models because she assumed that all the high borns would adore and want to date a model. Did Cas feel the same? Would he have ever dated a model? It did for a split second make her doubt herself and her own looks when the boys could probably have any model going, what did Cas see in her when he could have anyone in the kingdom swoon over him?
“Oh well… dresses aren’t easy to come by in the districts.” Iris smiled answering the question from earlier as to why she didn’t wear that kind of attire, “And trust me the dresses you can get your hands on… well yikes, much prefer jeans and a jumper compared to that. They all seem to be grey and that is not a nice colour… but then I guess most clothes are pretty faded out there.” Hearing the compliment from Miles of her looking great in the dress she kept the smile on her face, but found it dropping ever so slightly at the mention of Cas texting.
“A week?” It was hard not to be shocked; she should have expected something like that, but lockdown for a week. What if they started searching houses for her? She knew that she’d be here in his home for a little bit but hearing that it was definitely going to be at least a week felt strange. I won’t be able to see Cas for a week… what if… what if he has a change of heart about us? What if it was all just because the trauma pushed us together. The pang she felt at the idea of them being apart for so long did worry her, she knew she was overthinking it and worrying on it further would only upset her and she knew she was a little on edge already with everything.
“Ahh…” Feeling her cheeks heat up in embarrassment as a sheepish smile crossed her face, “I’ll be honest I don’t know many card games.” A thought flashed back to how Harry had tried to teach her a card game in the hospital, but she had been so disconnected it didn’t work out. “I doubt you want to play snap.” Laughing a little nervously as she admitted about the card game. “Well… I might know more as I play, but I just can’t remember if I ever did.” Rubbing her arm feeling a little nervous she looked at Miles, “We could watch something? I’m sure there are loads of movies I have never seen before. Unless you really are okay with teaching me how to play cards.”
