Appearance|
In her high school days Annora was a scrawny nimble little thing. Her hair was cropped short as a sort of rebellion towards her parents. And her skin was coated head to toe with freckles. She wasnt the prettiest girl in school, but she never noticed or cared.
Annora now stands at 5'7 with defined muscles and lean build. Her hair is a lions main of auburn and chestnut that falls long past her shoulders. Her wheat-gold eyes are framed with dapples of sun-kissed freckles and long lashes. She still carries the same endearing smile, but otherwise it would take a couple glances to recognize her from her younger years.
Personality|
Annora has a brave hearted spirit paired with a driven attitude.
she has a sharp mind and perhaps an even sharper tongue. Annora is fiery and always up to a challenge, which can be overwhelming to some. Her temperament is brash, but more harmful to herself than to others. Her smile is infectious and can brighten up a whole room, which appeals to her more charming side. She has yet to outgrow her competitiveness, which is what mostly got her into trouble as a kid, and well, now.
She’s hardly changed since high school. She’s always been the talker, the risk taker, and “act first think later” type of gal. However, she has matured and learned a thing or two about keeping her mouth shut.

History|
Annora grew up as the middle child, strung between 3 older brothers and 2 adopted twin girls. Her parents loved each of their children the same, but with all the kids only a few years apart it was hard to spread the attention around. Annora played a key role in being second mom in her teen years when they adopted the twins. She adored those girls and loved taking them out when her mom was especially swamped.
Her favorite place was the pool where she worked as a lifeguard for 3 years. It was a ten minute walk from her house and an easy distraction for the twins. Between her job, swim and her family she hardly had time for a social life during the summer. That is until the end of her sophomore year, when she met Sarah.
In school Nora could hardly sit still enough to pay attention. Her grades were okay, but the only thing giving her a chance at a scholarship was her sports. She thrived on the track and in the water. Nora didn’t have many friends freshman and sophomore year. She blended from lunch group to lunch group, but her mouth ended up leaving sore spots within those groups. “Annorying” is what her brothers called her, and it stuck in high school, even after they graduated. It never bothered her, but merely encouraged her to make light of herself as often as possible.
After meeting Sarah she pretty much evolved into the cool brave type that’s a tiny bit more willing to sit still. Nora and Sarah became close over late night swims together and long talks. Sarah knew exactly when to tell Nora to shut up and it was practically therapy. As eloquently as ever Nora then felt no hesitation to shove herself into Sarah's circle and those relationships are a completely different story.
Now Annora makes a living as a competitive swimmer with some coaching on the side. She lives a simple life in a nice house near the beach with her dog so she feels less lonely. When she isn't pushing her limits in the ocean, she keeps herself social at local bars, but never drinks. She hardly has any romance in her life, a few flings here and there, but most men are burnt out by her energy or simply can't keep up. Her family still lives in Michigan and she visits them as often work allows, but she hasn't tried staying connected to her high school friends not even Sarah.
Penny Harlowe
"Forever pissed that she can pull that haircut off"
Nora didn't have much of a relationship with Penny. She teased her and made fun like she did to the rest, but Penny rarely reacted to her. She always wondered how such a delicate little thing came to be with Sarah, but Sarah clearly had some unique tastes. Nora hasn't kept up with Penny since senior year, but bought one of the books she illustrated, she loved her art style.
Lucas Atkins
"Sarah would kill me...but I always thought he was smokin"
Nora noticed Lucas before she ever met Sarah her first year of life guarding. He was idle near the edge of a pool, it didn't seem to be his scene. A runner, probably 11 years old, brushed by him. Before Nora could blow her whistle (that goddamn whistle) Lucas swiped the kid by his feet.oh so casually. He fell back onto the edge of the concrete into the pool. Nora had to cup her mouth to keep from bursting out her staple laugh. After that she never saw him really until she became friends with Sarah. By then of course he was pretty estranged and likely off limits. Nora thought of herself as nonexistent to him. She hasn't kept in touch.
James Albright
"Loved arguing with this one, and he put up a good fight I'll give him that."
Annora first met James while stranded in the rain with Sarah. The girls had gone for a hike outside of town, and during their trek... sudden down pour. Nora loved the rain, but Sarah protested and without a second thought contacted James to pick them up. James arrived swiftly with towels covering every inch of the inside of the car. Nora was quick to introduce her self politely but it wasn't long till the two were throwing snide remarks like a game of pong. Nora won. (though James would likely disagree). Nora hadn't heard from James since he left for New York, she wrote him a couple of letters his first months gone, but nothing after that.
Phillipe Vesper
"Gave me the best playlist of my life, but hated my singing"
The one friend Nora had before Sarah that actually stuck around. She first noticed him at the local coffee shop. He attended as often as she did, to the point where she had his order down. As bold and intrusive as always she sat her happy ass down at his table. Philippe was kind charming and complimented her energy with his insouciant nature. They were fast to become friends, he was even pretty close to her own family. They messaged each other every now and then and she would send him postcards from places she’s traveled, but they haven’t been face to face since highschool.
Tommy Armstead
"What I'd giiive to go headed to head with him, God he would beat the shit out of me"
Met through Sarah, sustained through sport. Nora and Tommy definitely have a combative nature with each other more than anyone else. All in good fun, but definitely had it's risks. What she could beat him in pace he could beat her in strength. It was always challenge, after dare, after challenge. Besides the constant banter, Nora never really got to know him personally. She did owe her success in her career to him, if it weren't for them constantly pushing each other(sometimes literally) she wouldn't of been as skilled as she is. He made a great partner in crime, but eventually they both went their separate ways like everyone else.
