90s Baby Nostalgia! [Advice/Opinions needed]

This is a 90s inspired piece, that I drew on canvas. I want to paint it, but I've never used paint before except once. So I'm a little nervous.
Opinions? What should I use to color?

Ahhh, sounds fun indeed. Alright, I'll take the bait! I'm gonna have a male and female, for both an owner and a neko for a total of five characters. I have a few ideas in mind that I will share upon contact, and would love to hear any you might have.

Name: Jun Ageha

Gender: Male
Personality: A reserved and private individual, Jun may often come across as aloof and mysterious. Socially speaking, there is room for improvement. He has trouble reading people, so he can often unwittingly disregard others feelings. He can be brutally and blatantly honest, as well as withdrawn, which can cause tension between he and loved ones.
Looking for: Up for discussion. Fantasy, romance, mature, slice of life, et cetera. Itsuki is available for heterosexual and homosexual (yaoi) relationships.

Personality: Mitsuki can be a bit distant and cold, especially at first. He can be a bit irritable and peevish (though often comically). Hard headed and stubborn, almost to a childish extent. He doesn't like to be bossed around, though could probably benefit from some guidance considering his tendency to find trouble. Although he has a bit of a temper, he is also fun loving in his own way, finding amusement in teasing or generally bothering people.

Just like many teenage girl, she can be a bit sensitive when she is overwhelmed. Dependable and sociable, she has a circle of friends that often offer their support in trying times. Even so, she tries not to push her problems onto others and would sooner handle the issue herself than allow herself to trouble anyone else.
Looking For: Up for discussion. Fantasy, romance, mature, slice of life, et cetera. Sachi is available only for heterosexual relationships. (I think Sachi can be paired with most personality type. Maybe a good type for her would be someone nice, fun loving that can show her to let loose sometimes. She also would enjoy the comfort of someone else.)

She rarely acts impulsively. She will likely develop a strong loyalty and love for her owner. In which case, she would be happiest making her owner happy. Outsiders looking in might view her as foolish or crazy for loving her owner, but it is simply her loyalty.

Giving this a bump! Ive still got 2 roleplays still going on from my first post, almost a year ago. But, I'd love another. The two that I currently partake in, I'm using Jun and Emi, so I would probably like to use a different character this time. Willing to combine other plot ideas or pairings to make it interesting. Some things I'm into are post in previous and current interest checks. Or, of course you can suggest plot ideas. :)

I'll probably only do this if there is a plot. This pairing usually welcomes smut, but I prefer a plot with my story. Also, maybe the typical roles may be switched: The slave becomes the dominant/top player (with a spoiled master, but a slave/servant that can handle them). Or it can be more romantic than sexual.] Master Slave, a vague Idea: A siege on the kingdom or a surprise coup results in the king losing his throne. Things become hectic and violent and the royal family finds themselves at extreme risk and must flee. Perhaps they find temporary relief at a Noble's home. Regardless, ultimately they must flee until it is all settled. To avoid detection or drawing attention, they must split up. The slave is entrusted to protect the prince(ss) until the issue settles.
I would be fine roleplaying either the urbane dominant slave, or the bratty bottom prince(ss).
Currently Only Accepting One of Either Roles.

We Share Everything

Muse A and Muse B have grown up together, and with a mutual understanding and respect for one another they share a special relationship. They grew up sharing many things: tastes in food and music, responsibilities and even lovers. Although they are nearly opposite personality, they are extremely close. The two of them alone are their own secret duo, and are very selective of who they let in. They discover Muse C (circumstances up for discussion) and immediately they are interested. They pursue Muse C, but must convince C to accept the both of them. C is conflicted by the two completely different personalities and is unsure if they are comfortable with such a relationship.
(If you're up for supernatural, perhaps they or one are vampires.)

Confessions of a Yandere

"I have always watched you from a distance... Admired you from afar. I'm sure you hardly remember the day we first met... but I could never forget it. I'll never forget such kindness. So why do I hold back?! Pathetic, I know, that I can never muster the courage to address you.

But how does one go about approaching a perfect being?

I get anxious in your presence... When you look my way... I feel alive.

So I've watched you with your friends. I have seen the type of people you've dated. I've seen you experience heartbreak and I've seen you cry. And it infuriates me! No one deserves you. I'll always protect you from their destructive imperfections. No matter what it takes.


An uncontrollable urge... I want you to myself! You. My love... You belong to me. Don't reject me... Say you love me."

This can be dark, naturally. Though, I'm willing to take a lighter and comedic approach to this. This can be slice of life, run of the mill high school/University setting or Fantasy settings/elements. There can be supernatural element: Maybe the Yandere is a Ghoul or has spirits/demons. Or a combination thereof. All gender pairings are welcome, one to two spots are open. I will play either role once (I will play Yandere in one, the Yandere's interest in another). Of course, personality may vary - we could have a socially awkward yandere. We may have a charismatic yandere (Sociopath, anyone?) Heck! We might even have an interest that takes advantage of the yandere! I would like to make a disclaimer: I don't often play such characters as this, being so dark and mentally disturbed. However, I obviously want to try! I take constructive criticism well. I want to improve my skill playing an array of characters, and this is one!

Having romance/their single relationship the sole focus can get boring. So we'll discuss an actual plot together! As well as add other characters to spice it up.

* I'm not one to romanticize abusive /twisted relationships (Okay... Maybe that's what it looks like). In real life, it is unacceptable, obviously.

Going Through Changes

One character has always dreamed of being a vet. When he finally becomes one in his small town, he finds himself restless. Maybe he becomes bored or lacking clients. He's wanted more out of life, but the option never arose.
Finally, he hears from a friend that a big timer businessman in the city wants a live-in vet. It seems weird... but the pay is good and the rent is free. Only, he didn't expect the businessman to be the animal he's supposed to take care of... Why the shapeshifter needs care can be discussed.
Maybe he has a life threatening illness, and in this weakened state, he frequently reverts to his original form. He can't have everyone knowing of his species or condition, so he needs a private caretaker. Perhaps he is cursed. Maybe later, the curse is lifted somehow. (I think I would prefer this be Yaoi/M//)
Only accepting one more for this at the moment.
Of course, we can discuss more of a plot. Of course there will be other antics. Of course we'll include side characters (perhaps family that is also cursed and need help).

A Ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul inspired) is faced with living a double life. Consuming humans for their own survival. An urge that cannot be tamed no matter how they fight it... Despite their own morale, they have succumbed to their hunger. A despicable life... Criminalized in their city, they can never come to light for who they truly are. So they pretend for the masses. Living amongst humans... Sometimes it seems justifiable, they can be just as cruel and destructive. Pests...
Other times, though. Some humans give hope for humanity.

Will this ghoul be found out? What will they do?

What comes to mid when you hear the term: Grim Reaper? A skeletal, scythe toting demon donning a hooded black cloak? Someone hungry for your soul? Lurking... waiting to snatch your life. Well I'll tell you one thing...

For millennia, humans have fabricated their own ideas of the unknown. How did you come to exist? Where do you go when you die? All the unexplained, is met with theory.
Sure... I guess it's a reasonable idea. You associate death with unpleasant things, it's only natural you attach such a negative image to the reaper. Well let me set the record straight!
Think about it? Once you have severed the bond to the living realm... You're all alone when. Your friends can't take the journey with you. Your life, your past decisions, friends, family, belongings... it's all left behind. And that's where we come in, the ferryman and ferrywomen of the spirit world. We don't take your life... we only serve as a guide to the other world. We protect and lead lost souls, in their time of need. While they mourn their own death, when they feel hopeless and alone... Us reapers provide comfort.
Whether the person returns to the living world (perhaps with new powers), remains in limbo, goes to the other side or whatever. We can decide. It isn't much of a plot, we can come up with something more in depth.

Fantasy Idea

It is said that we are born with an unseen red string tied to out pinky finger and the end is tied to whomever you are fated to be with. However, the thread is tangled, twisting this way and that, making it difficult for a pair to come together.

The idea in mind is inspired by the Chinese myth of the Red String of Fate, as well as a Fandom (Anime/Manga) called Loveless. However, you do not need prior knowledge of either. We can establish our own rules and build the world on our own, and I can answer your questions should you have any. In this particular world, there are units that are made up of two people: A fighter and a sacrifice. They share a soul bond and become capable of engaging in spell battles against other units.

What is In a Name?

In the Loveless world, certain individuals are born with a name that reflects the true nature of their soul or fate – and somewhere out there in the wide world is someone who shares that name. People who share the same name are connected mentally, emotionally, and spiritually: they’re essentially soulmates (although it need not make them romantically involved). Each Unit has a 'True Name' that the pair shares which represents them as a whole.

What is a Fighter?

The Fighter of a unit engages in spell battles against other Fighters. Only a Fighter can begin a Wordspell Battle and they are the only ones who can cast spells during that Wordspell Battle.

Both in and out of battle, Fighters are bound to follow the orders of their Sacrifices. Although they may not realize it, Fighters innately seek to follow the will of their Sacrifices. Fighters without orders tend to hesitate, which weakens the pair.

A Fighter needs to obey the orders of their Sacrifice in order for the bonded pair to reach their true potential. While a Fighter may disobey or disregard the orders of their Sacrifices, this causes deep feelings of guilt and anxiety – to the point where a Fighter would honestly believe that disobeying their Sacrifice is a threat to their livelihood. Fighters need to obey their Sacrifices as much as they need to eat or sleep.

What is the Role of A Sacrifice

A Sacrifice takes the damage for their Fighter during a Wordspell Battle. This damage often takes the form of Restrictions, which are lengths of cloth, leather, or chains that tighten painfully around a Sacrifice’s body. Restrictions steal away a Sacrifice’s concentration and strength. If a Sacrifice receives enough damage, they could very easily suffocate to death beneath their Restrictions if their Fighter does not surrender the fight.

A Sacrifice also has the right to command their Fighter both in and out of battle. If a Sacrifice does not command their Fighter, their Fighter will be hesitant and unsure of themselves in Wordspell Battles. Often, many Wordspell Battles in Loveless are dictated entirely by the Sacrifices! For a bonded pair to be truly effective, a Sacrifice must give clear, firm, and honest commands.

The String of Fate

If a Sacrifice finds themselves cornered, or in need of help, or they just want to be with their Fighters, they can summon their Fighters mentally and empathically through their mutual bond. No matter where the Fighter is, they will be able hear/feel this call and feel compelled to follow it.

A bonded Fighter/Sacrifice may be able to visualize their bond as a string between the two of them and simply follow it to their partner.

Misc.

Some notes worth mentioning, trivia, restrictions, taboos and such:

Fighting Solo:
It is against a sort of mental societal norm for Fighters to do battle without their Sacrifices. However, while ill-adviced, it is possible.
If a Fighter goes into a Wordspell battle without his or her Sacrifice, they will only be at half strength. They will also be vulnerable for whatever damage their (rather unscrupulous) opponent has in store for them.
A Sacrifice will be able to sense whenever his or her Fighter goes into a Wordpspell Battle without them – and will in all likelihood come running. Unless, of course, they really hate their partner.

Fighting for Another Sacrifice/Changing Partners:
A Fighter cannot fight for another Sacrifice without first breaking the bond of his or her true Sacrifice and taking on the name of the new Sacrifice. The process is excruciatingly painful for the Fighter in question, as his or her name will “retaliate” against this new, forced bond. Wordspell Battles become excruciatingly painful, and their true name will often bleed during the battle.
Even if a bond between a Sacrifice and a Fighter is broken, the Sacrifice will still be able to issue orders to the Fighter and the Fighter will feel the compulsion to follow them.

Hello, my fellow role player!

It has been a while since I have been here, especially speaking to the masses. I've been super busy and dealing with some things for a few months. I'm sure you understand.

I have had some free time lately and would love to fill it with some role play. So, here I am! I will try to keep this nice and short!

Regarding my style, I suppose I would consider myself 'lazy-lit'. I am literate and I have a decent grasp of the English language. I value decent spelling, grammar and punctuation and I do try my best. That in mind, I am not hell bent on extensive length; I write more than many and less than many others. I suppose I'm just average in that context, I don't fancy one-liners nor novels. I average 3-5 paragraphs. My key, is communication. I really, truly prefer for someone to tell me their preferences. If I'm writing too little or too vague, or I seem to rush. If I play someone out of character. If I have too much of a potty mouth. Let me know, I aim to please. I like to plot things outs, even if it's just basic things we would like to hit. Honestly, I won't try to surprise you too much if I don't feel comfortable. I'll feel like I'm walking on eggshells. I ask that you try to be open, let's nurture each other's creativity, no? I have very few limits - so few that they seldom come up. I play all genders and sexualities. As far as pairings go, I prefer MxM, MxF, FxF in that order. I play muultiple characters to keep things interesting, and am open to secondary pairings developing. I must say, as I oft do: GENDER does not define CHARACTER. I would like a partner that is willing and able to play any gender. Whether we do doubling or Single. It becomes quite tiresome being forced or pressured into the same roles (The dominant or male role). Equally tiresome playng against the same types of characters. I do still enjoy such roles, and against such characters, don't get me wrong! In moderation, for I also like variety.
