Bio

I'm a queer English trans lady and I'm also a Guild veteran from way before guildfall (if anyone still remembers that terrible day). I've just come back from a long hiatus and just looking to enjoy myself and make some cool stories together

Basilio took his punch in stride like he usually did. He was always teasing her, even back when she was teaching him about the game he would make everything more fun. It was a surprise when he held her hand, not to mention a little embarrassing. She noticed the warmth of his hand, it was a bit rough but also slender. The hands of a caster who travelled long roads in search of adventure. She hoped her hand wasn't too rough. She was a monk after all and honed her body to become the ultimate weapon.

"I've been guilty of being a loner sometimes too, although it was mostly because I liked creating new friends. I must've built half the NPCs in Arce Bellum by now, haha. Hmm... I wonder if we can still create NPCs now that they're... you know, alive? I guess a lot of things can change now."

She watched as Basilio quickly and precisely laid out potion ingredients and used instant brewing ,a relatively high class spell, and sprouted six new potions. "Wow you really have been practicing." She was honestly impressed, she had never seen him use that spell before. "However, when it comes to alchemy I'm no pushover!" She took three of his potions and set them on the station next to him. "Ten minutes to make as many potions as possible. Watch and learn, senpai will show you it's done!" She used to challenge him to pointless competitions to help him practice new skills but this time she really just wanted to have some fun. "Lets go Basilio!" She announced as she had already started casting her first spell. "Triple maximize magic, instant brewing!"

Nanami wasn't all too pleased with the name 'Band of the Bear' but it was better than nothing. She really didn't have much of a plan other than stopping the knights from terrorizing villages. It was atrocious. Knights lived to serve the people and protect them, these people were just bandits in better armour. She did appreciate that Basilio wanted to keep her company. He was always a fun person to have around and was good at keeping her grounded. When he said she would get lost she gave Basilio a quick jab to his arm probably a little harder than she needed to while keeping her professional demeanor. "I'd like to prepare some supplies for the villagers as well. We don't know if they have any healers so I want to be prepared to fulfill that role if the need arises." She looked to Basilio again. "I guess it's you and me again..." She looked up at him with a genuine smile. "Let's get started right away, I don't want to spend any more time than we have to on preparations."

Nanami gave a curt bow to Grey and the others and turned to leave. She tugged at Basilio's sleeve as if beckoning him to come along. At first she was going to rush to the village using teleports and flying magic to get there quickly but the others were right. Despite her high level it wasn't a good idea to rush into a fight when they don't know the level of the knights. For all she knew a single knight could be too much for her. Nanami would never run away regardless. People were in need and that was that.

She agreed with Basilio. She new rushing into a fight with an organized military force could have consequences later but something had to be done and interrogating their leader was also important. A chance to learn more about the world from someone in a position of some influence could be invaluable. "Fine, I'll head to the village and wait for them to arrive. Then I'll stop them and capture their leader. I'll make sure not to implicate the Empire until it works in our favour. How's that?" Both Grey and Basilio knew her well enough to know she would go whether she was ordered to or not. When the opportunity to do good arose she did it without question. It was just her way.

Nanami made a face at Basilio calling her a child but laughed anyway. He always made jokes and got her laughing. It was refreshing among all the glory and pride of Arce Bellum. Grey seemed none too pleased about the relaxed atmosphere in front of Yuna though. He's trying too hard, I'm sure they understand that people aren't one dimensional. Even Greater Beings can have fun. She sighed and was content to ride along on Basilio's back until they reached the war room. She quickly hopped off to avoid giving Claudius a fit. She straightened out her robes and smiled as she entered. Time to be a proper lady!

As Dolton gave a run down of the village in distress Nanami couldn't help but feel disturbed. "So that sort of thing happens here. I guess I should have expected as much." she whispered to herself. It was heartbreaking to say the least. These foreign knights were just slaughtering people? "We have to help them, that much I'm certain of. A village that small likely doesn't have any military presence. Those people don't stand a chance against organized troops. I can fly there in no time."

She had jumped up to follow Grey when another familiar face arrived. She was more than happy to have another ally but also an old friend return to the scene. Grey and Basilio immediately started chatting without really acknowledging her at all. She supposed Grey was the Emporer now and most people would want to seek him out first. Still, she was very happy. She was also getting annoyed at being a wallflower, which often happened when men would talk. She skipped toward Basilio once and jumped to land on his back. She knew she was much faster than almost everyone in the guild, even the lightfooted druid would surely be caught. "Glad you could make it! You're just in time for a council meeting with Claudius. He's just as loud and proud as you might imagine. Hehe."

Nanami felt a bit more responsible for Basilio in a way since she had been the one to reach out to him to join the guild. They were the same level now but to her he was still her junior.

It was no surprise to hear of Dolton's character. She had read many times before, she just didn't expect his now very animated state to be so intense. She shrugged it off. "I'll be here to back you up from now on, my Emperor." She meant it, wholly. Now that the NPCs appeared to be living breathing people her conviction to bring about prosperity for them only increased. The other players were negligible risks at best. Most likely none of them would want to cause any real trouble for the empire but giving them affiliate status was a good idea. "I suspect you might get a few objections about giving Astrid affiliate status but I doubt they'll oppose the decision. There's something else we should consider as well. Have you looked outside the walls? The terrain looks different, I think we might be in a different place than before. We should probably hold off on launching a new campaign without knowing the world we're in. I think our stealthiest scouts should go out and survey the land first." She rolled backwards springing herself up on her hands and landing squarely on her feet. It was quite graceful, if not unnecessary. "I don't think we can assume this world is the same as what we knew. We should approach everything with caution for now."

With everything going on it seemed like a good idea to focus on securing what land they had and finding out what was around them. Information has always been the greatest commodity. They needed to learn about the world, and quickly. She glanced at the throne. I hope Grey really does have what it takes, for all our sakes.
