Bio
I'm a queer English trans lady and I'm also a Guild veteran from way before guildfall (if anyone still remembers that terrible day). I've just come back from a long hiatus and just looking to enjoy myself and make some cool stories together
While the others focused on getting the ship to sail Celica couldn't help but look towards the shoreline as it began to drift away. She has built a life there selling goods to sailors and privateers, conducting research in the realms of science and magic. She wondered how her shop would fair without her constant guidance. She had left her adopted son and most promising apprentice, Alistair(21), in charge. Over the years he had become an integral part of her business.
When Celica first met him she had just come to the free isle, he was just a poor young boy who would do small tricks with his illusions to earn a living. With his magic ability he needed a tutor, but more importantly he needed someone to look after him. Celica never expected to become a mother but life has ways of dropping things in your lap, so to speak. It wasn't long after that a young girl showed up, an ice mage named Morgan(18),barely talented enough to chill water but determined non-the-less. She too became a part of the family.
She worried about her children, her business, and her home. She would find the Raven Queen's Crown and crush anything in the way be it monsters or empires.
She turned away from the isle as if to rid her mind of it and took another swig from her flask. The others were busy getting the ship moving out of the labyrinth of waterways. She watched as something else interested her, a tall redheaded woman moving across the deck from one thing to the next as easily as breathing. Celica herself wasn't really expected to sail so she remained on deck to watch the men and especially women working.
Celica was not the type of person to be told what to do but when the de facto King of the free isle tells you that you're his last hope to find an obscure treasure that may or may not exist who would say no? Well Celica did say no at first, but he was adamant. After her third bottle of ale she gave in and so here she was on board the Valencia. She had already set up her lab in one of the private crew quarters. It was snug but she had space for her equipment and a bed. She had bargained for private quarters and the right to pursue whatever research she desires while on the journey. In exchange she would offer her services to the crew free of charge, including enchanting weapons if they so desired. Enchantors were highly sought after because they can create magical tools that others can use. This and many other reasons are also why enchantors are discriminated against and enslaved in most societies.
She came up on the deck as the others arrived, assuming that the captain would make some kind of introduction, and immediately regretted it. The sun was much too bright, the gulls too loud, and the crew were rowdy. It was her own fault for being hungover but that didn't stop her from being mad at the world. She recognized most of the others coming aboard, including a gloriously strong woman with bright orange hair. Quite the sight to see indeed. Celica felt a bit safer with someone like her around.
She walked along the deck, refreshed by the fresh salt air, and gave the beautiful Amazon a genuine smile @Sputnik. "Lovely day, eh miss? Good to have a reliable woman here. Wulfarth, correct? I've heard a few things about you." She glanced to the other woman "@LordofthePiesAnd you as well. I hear you're quite the archer, miss dooret." She have them a subtle curtsy and continued toward the wheel and to the railing. She sneakily retrieved a flask well hidden in her robes and took a swig. She muttered to herself "Just enough to kill the foul morning after..."
Some of the deck hands made jokes about the queen of rum, others noted that it was clearly going to be a difficult journey if king Avior thought to have the enchantress come with them. Few people in chariot hadn't heard of Celica the Enchantress, a blessing and a curse.
Celica learned to sail but she's not terribly athletic so would be most suited to navigation or helm. Also, drinking and helming isn't a crime on the free isle right?
Age: 32 Gender: Female Nationality: Ivicis Hold, Empire of Mar Class: Enchantress/Swordswoman
Physical Description: Standing at a humble 5'2" Celica can appear rather unassuming. Her pale complexion and long jet black hair are trademarks of her lineage but none so prominent than her piercing blue eyes. It's rumored she can peer into your soul by staring you down but really she has spent enough time around liars to spot one at a glance.
She wears simple robes made of fine cloth and is rarely found without an assortment of leather belts adorned with different trinkets, vials, and the occasional book. Glasses rest on her nose fitted with silk string on either side to keep them in place.
Fighting Style: Celica generally relies on her swordsmanship, as enchanting isn't all that practical in combat. She trained in Regal Fencing, a one-handed sword style that favors quick movements and piercing thrusts. Celica is quick but overall only slightly above average in terms of swordsmanship. She carries a rapier that is most suited to her style.
Personality/Mental:
On the outside Celica is eccentric, sometimes even ludricous. A mad genius only to be taken seriously half the time. In reality she is observant, always calculating the risks and weighing them against the possible rewards. Celica had survived by anticipating the troubles ahead and formulating creative solutions.
During her time in the world she developed a taste for alcohol and consumes it at an alarming rate. Drunken witch is a common moniker that floats around the local cantinas. She hides the pain of her suffering in an ocean of booze and lashes out at those who might think to pry.
She despises nobility and sees them as opportunists born into privilege. Nothing matters to her more than her craft and so long as she has the freedom to pursue her research she is happy. Also of note is that Celica is a lesbian and holds a negative bias towards men.
History:
Celica is the second daughter of the current governor of Ivicus Hold with two siblings, an older brother and sister. She lived a privileged life of sorts but was relatively unimportant in the scheme of politics. Because of this she saw the court for what it was, a den of wolves in sheep's clothing. She despised the courtiers for all their scheming and trickery. It was an unfortunate truth that she took to heart. Even her own father was well-versed in the art of performance and it was only natural that she learn as well.
Her social status afforded her an extensive education, she learned about many cultures and religions, though she never cared much for the latter. She also studied different forms of government, swordsmanship, statecraft, economics, horse-back riding, and sailing, among other things.
When she was twelve her father discovered her talent for magic. Being the opportunist that he was, he kept her magic a secret from the world and arranged a mage from a prestigious school to tutor her in secret. So Celica had yet another field to study. It didn't make much of a difference to her. She kept meeting in secret with her tutor until at sixteen rumors startedto spread that one of the governors daughters was a mage.
In order to save face Governor Verula made an announcement that Celica had recently been examined and accepted into the Ivicis school of Magic. It was a rather grandiose event, there was even a celebration although it was all just for show.
Her time at the magic school was spent learning about her talent. She learned of the different magics and how to implement them. Every day she spent buried in books, listening to lectures, an conducting practical experiments. She eventually escaped with the help of some colleagues in a rather gruesome fashion.
She drifted from place to place dodging bounty hunters and slavers until she found herself on the free isle. She made a home there where she regularly conducts research and sells enchanted goods to fund her work. She has also aided the council of captains on numerous occasions but has never aspired to captain a vessel herself, despite being qualified and wealthy enough to own a ship.

It's only been two days. Some people have busy lives and the week usually is the slowest. Anyway I'm sure the others will find the time. Besides we can still continue with just a handful of people if some decide they don't have time. Things happen, the best thing to do is encourage participation and remain faithful to the RPs you like.
I assumed this would be something like mass effect Andromeda where we have a big but still mobile space station and use small ships to scout like the tempest that the pathfinder gets in game.
I've been thinking on that and given that thousands of colonists are on board I sincerely doubt that they were shoved into the hydrogen tank of a space shuttle or any modern space-faring vessel for that matter. A modern space shuttle is out of the question, it simply isn't capable of holding thousands of people.
I think shuttles could be used to ferry pods though. A large portion of the fuselage is dedicated to scientific equipment but could be removed to store pods instead and that would give us all a reason to be packed in a shuttle before cryo.
As for the ship that gets us there (which should have some solution for getting us to and from planetary surfaces) would need to be a much larger construction. Something kilometers long with multiple decks and livable areas. Basically it should accommodate life on board the ship as a temporary measure until colonization begins.
Also, Eliza doesn't have a job or technical skills so she would probably be marked as non-essential personnel and probably not be brought out of stasis until after the crew of the ship at the very least.
