Fair point, but what I mean with dense is. The Netherlands has 17,000,000 million people. The largest city in The Netherlands holds 800,000 people. There are many, many towns, villages and cities all around the country and not exactly far apart from eachother either. Bordering nations such as Belgium and Germany have the same issue, though are a little less dense. Yet most of Germany's population is focused in the West, combined with that of Belgium's and that of The Netherlands. It would be a rather hostile and unforgiving place.
With England i'd imagine things are a bit more sparse, though it's impossible to know how many refugee camps were set up and where. But I do certainly imagine huge quantaties of new folk to be around.
