I think he said something about synthesizing new plague vectors or something.
Believe it or not the Autocannon was in response to a problem the GM had with my sheet. heheheh. I had him more specked for melee.
Also considering 40k i don't think a storm bolter is out of line for a human. Remember that the bolt weapons are separated into human and astardes versions. its not like you are using the same guns terminators use. Bolt weapons of all types are used by humans in all the literature.

Necron blade tho. Wut. lore wise yea big boo boo HOWEVER considering the nature of the game it's hardly crime of the century. It can easily be taken as extra fluff for a character. I mean its effectively just a unique power sword in the end. Just don't wave it around orthidox inquisitors if you aren't a fan of old pokie.
It seems people are more or less being adult about the whole thing i see. That is good.

all i'd say is, FinDragon no point in getting aggro about it. There is nothing wrong with criticism. Could it have been phrased better? Yes. Was it all bumf no. You don't need to know the screeds of 40k lore to play a game like this but there were a couple little things that are somewhat incongruous on your sheet that might nip at someone.

For me it was the space marine thing and the warboss thing. The drugs? That is a not unsurprising result of repeated face offs with death.

Space marines are inherently mega mary sueish. its pretty much always better to separate yourself from them when writing characters. Avoid the contact low they produce.

As for the warboss thing. The average Ork warboss could kill hundreds of humans in close combat. Even hurting one without a power weapon is folly. Given Malek's specialty of being big strong and having tank lifting mechadendrites i would give him 50/50 odds against a particularly weak ork warboss. Maybe a one armed one heh heh heh.

At the end of the day my main point is chill out. If you need to take criticism personally you need to find a less public pass time.

Relllllllax. Its what everyone is here to do.
I can understand many of the points you make here. To respond to the section on myself.

I have always played the RPGs and Play by post is new to me however I would be very hesitant to suggest that being big and slow is a great trade off for roughly eight or nine points of armor. The frequency of weapons that would laugh their way through that is quite high and the bulk makes the far superior dodge unlikely. A GM that cannot bring down a Malek is not nearly imaginative enough. I have full confidence that i will spend more than enough time in the repair bay.

Which also brings me to another point you touched on. Demons. I'm always skeptical of any mention of characters facing off against them one on one and winning. They are absolute combat monsters. Even lower mid level ones such as an Ebonghists should be a brutal fight for any three of us.

As for power. What? Are inquisitors not going to use considerable force when facing the enemies of man? In the books you mention far greater forces are brought to bear. If you are concerned about PvP then a decent running start should keep you out of grippy range. My role in combat is clear. Provide local support and form a solid backbone to the force that others can maneuver around to take the fight to the foe.

As for my role in the group, considering that i have not even made my fist IC post i feel you have been a bit preemptive. If Zhevon feels he cannot use Malek's skills i'm sure he will make this known. Should Malek appear. No Malek won't be slipping by sentries however a well controlled skull could. furthermore my contacts in the Ad-Mech themselves could be invaluable, properly manipulated.

As for any point on the other characters i have considered some of these points myself but would also consider some of them excessive. after all as a staunch fan of 40k for many years i have to say those taking it too seriously are missing the point. this is a universe in which you can march 10,000,000 men to their deaths in a single day and get clapped on the back for a good effort. though i do try to restrain some of the Grim Derp myself.

I ..... wut.

whilst adrianne is supposed to be a big, scary psyker with powers over the very warp itself, capable of crushing heads with a single thought ^_^

Nodding sagely. "Quite so scary laser eye lady".
<Snipped quote by Lotta Pumpkins>

psh, and here I thought Adrianne was recognized as the biggest, baddest member of the group already xD

I'm not sure what you mean, Malek is merely a humble adept of the Mechanicus. Unworthy of note or extra floor re-enforcement.
<Snipped quote by Lotta Pumpkins>

He's mostly going to be fixing cars and stuff.
I think.

krieg is acept

Okay, i laughed. It may even be true.
The Omnisiah's blessings are many and great. Subtlety is not one of them. Surprisingly neither is skill at pong.
