@Paradoxial I'm interested, would you be accepting of a character who basically sees the writing on the wall and, either secretly or openly, advocates for things like workers rights etc, with the end goal of getting into a position to ride out the upcoming changes with a minimum of personal loss. Perhaps they also come from a family who was/is particularly harsh or overbearing, so they have to contend with image, family, and other complications?
EDIT: Basically, they'd be trying to better the lot of the workers, with the intent of using that goodwill to stay in power after the (in their eyes) inevitable uprisings/unionizations/etc, while also funding and encouraging strikes against their own enemies
I am still here and about I just don't have much to add to the situation and don't like posting a few lines when I do post. I like to have a little beef to my posts. But I am still about.

Notable Features: Dianas eyes are digital displays, and her pupils change unconsciously based on her mood.
Appearance: Her body is crafted in the image of her predicted looks, had she grown up biologically. As such, there are few outward signs of her technological nature, outside of her eyes. Her skin, while a fair replica of both human skin and her particular skin tone, is still clearly artificial.
Biography: When Diana was 8 years old, she and her parents, both members of the Legion, were victims of a terrorist bombing that killed her parents and put her into critical condition. Diana was rushed to the nearest hospital, but her bodily functions had all but ceased by the time they got her onto the operating table. What followed this was a nearly twenty hour surgical procedure, no longer experimental but still risky, to transfer her brain into a POD, a device that could then be used to inhabit a variety of cybernetic bodies and other devices. During her hospital stay, Diana found out she was to live with her uncle Christoph and his daughter Syka. These two visited her frequently over her 8 month stay in the hospital learning how to function in her new body. Once she left for her new home, she settled in quickly, doing well enough in school and trying her best to make friends and hang onto her humanity. Due to her situation, she became very interested in technology during this time, an obsession that has lasted.
A bit after her 18th birthday, and on the anniversary of her parents death, Diana joined the Legion, going through a condensed training and eventually joining X-117, an R&D battalion testing various entrance and assault technologies and techniques, including her GASP unit, originally intended as an orbital drop assistance unit, although its other applications became clear during combat tests, and it was further tested, tweaked and modified into what it is today. This is also where her her combat style began developing into the no holds barred berserker she is today, and where the EX-6 were developed to go with the GASP unit. After five years with this unit, the GOLIATH project reached out to recruit her as a Mechanical Minder of Biological Activities for the new team that was forming, both as a shock trooper, and as an insurance policy.
I feel I should explain the random bolded and capitalized words that will be appearing shortly. Most of her abilities, weapons, and such will have an amount of Draw applied to Dianas Power Core. During day-to-day usage and light ability use (power draw <= 33%), the Core is able to deal with all waste heat, keeping her body at normal human temperature or slightly above, but when under combat load (power draw > 33%) heat builds up, and she will have to stop and release the heat or risk an emergency shutdown.
Power Draws & Meaning:
Low: These systems put a small but noticeable drain on the system, requiring 1 Unit to activate and maintain.
Medium: These systems put a moderate drain on the system, requiring 3 Units to activate and maintain.
High: These systems put a large drain on the system, requiring 6 Units to activate and maintain.
Extreme: These systems put an excessive drain on the system, requiring 9 Units to activate and maintain, and should be used with caution.
Cybernetics:
Modified Reactor Core: A military-grade fusion power core that has been modified by Legion researchers for use with the experimental GASP unit, it sits where the heart would normally be. This Core grants 12 Units of Power. When the Firefly chip is active, she can also focus on the reactor and overload it, causing a chain reaction that quickly leads to a complete reactor meltdown and the sudden, explosive release of the stored energy, focused, contained and enhanced by the GASP unit in the bodies final moments.
Gravity Adjustment System - Personal (GASP): The piece that makes all the cool shit go. This device is passive, and enables her other abilities. The device also automatically compensates for her ability usage, to prevent her body being damaged by her own abilities. It rests in Diana's chest, opposite to where the heart would be. Due to its original purpose as an orbital drop insertion tool, it also has the capability to compensate for extreme inertial forces and sudden stops and starts, although this does draw Medium power.
Firefly Chip: An unauthorized modification that Diana made to her control hardware, the Firefly chip allows her to push her Core past its safety limits for 5 minutes, granting a 50% increase in available Power, but after the 5 minutes are up, her fusion core initiates emergency venting, and available Power is cut by 50% for the next 15 minutes. She named it the Firefly chip due to the excessive heat generation making her hair glow from the heat, various heat vents on her body opening up and venting at full, and an effect causing her eyes to glow which she added in software.
Enhanced Cyber Eyes: These cybereyes double as an Augmented Reality interface & HUD, and can interface with prepared equipment. They also have optical zoom and infrared capabilities, and can act as flashlights. For obvious reasons, she is effectively blind in the infrared range while the Firefly chip is active.
Neural Enhancement Implants: Implants built directly into the brain using special-made medical nanites, these implants greatly improve brain functionality, and are most often used in analyzing complex physics problems to assist the GASP unit, and make sure it is running and interfacing properly.
Brain Pod: This pod contains her brain, along with the direct connections and enhancements to focus, reaction speed, and more that are required for proper operation of the GASP unit and its related equipment. The heavily protected brain is surrounded by a nanite mesh that connects it to the cybernetic body, as well as a layer of thin but strong armor. For worst case scenarios, the pod contains a small backup generator devoted to keeping the brain alive in case of emergency. Her POD has also been further modified with inertial dampeners and escape jets.
Cybernetic Body: Dianas cybernetic body started as a fairly straightforward humanoid design, but was then shoved full of experimental technology and thrown into combat (with her in it). It has been modified, iterated on, and improved throughout her time with X-117 as an experimental soldier, and tested during combat operations she was deployed on to augment more standard forces. The body also comes with highly optimized and augmented physical abilities, and essential systems, such as her Brain Pod, the GASP unit, and her reactor core, are armored enough to be able top take a few hits.
Forcefield Generators: Forcefield emitters strong enough to repel most small arms fire are built into strategic locations on her body and require Low power draw to use. These emitters can defend against heavier hits for a time, although this can temporarily overheating the emitters with too many successive hits. While the Firefly chip is active, the emitters can be overloaded to provide heavy defenses for the duration of the chips activation, but are deactivated after it shuts down, until her reactor core has returned to full power (15 minutes).
Fighting Style: Diana's fighting style is that of a wrecking ball, constantly in motion and throwing herself into the thick of the fight. Her GASP unit allows her to move across surfaces most can’t, combined with the greater speed and strength lent to her by her cybernetic body allows her to move around the battlefield quickly to flank enemies, take out priority targets, and crash through fortified positions to give her allies openings to press the attack. She fights primarily with her twin pistols using a form of Gun-Fu martial arts for close range fighting, although she can fight at longer ranges with her pistols when the situation demands it.
Daily Skills: Living as a cyborg for 20 years, and being full of experimental tech for 10 of those, gives you a pretty good grasp of computers and cybernetics. Diana is a competent hacker, coder and cybernetics technician due to this, and, with enough time, can figure out and operate any tech that she can interface with.
[Combat Skills/Abilities
Wall Walker: By channeling the output of the GASP unit through emitters built into her hands, feet, elbows and knees, Diana can move as normal at any orientation, across any surface able to hold her apparent weight, at whatever speed she can reach. This ability requires a Medium amount of power.
Weight Adjustment: Diana can adjust her personal gravity to alter her body's mass, allowing her to increase or decrease it for a variety of effects. This ability requires power proportionate to the degree of adjustment.
Gravity Well: This ability can ONLY be used when Firefly is active. This ability temporarily overloads her built-in gravity emitters, allowing her to briefly apply the full output of the GASP unit to a single target within 5 meters of her. After deactivation, the GASP unit emitters are shut down for the remainder of Firefly, and tis entire cooldown period. This ability also draws greater than Extreme, requiring all available power, and if this ability is still active when the Firefly chip deactivates, an immediate Emergency Shutdown is triggered.
Flaws: An EMP, while it wouldn't turn her completely off, could still disable her advanced tech, such as the GASP unit. Diana also has to be careful to manage her heat, as overheating in the middle of battle could cause her to shut down. Also, while a hacker wouldn’t be able to take over her brain or completely shut her down, it is possible for one to interfere with systems such as vision, or to keep her so occupied countering the hack that she was useless in the meat world fight. If heat builds up too much without release, her body with shut down and begin venting heat until it returns to within safe operating temperatures.
Equipment:See Cybernetics
Weapon: Diana uses a pair of experimental weapons designed to synergize with her GASP unit, using them to focus the output of the unit into plasma bolts, and can modify their effectiveness by using the GASP unit. Without the addition of her installed gravity tech, the Foci are standard heavy energy pistols, but Diana can use her GASP unit to enhance Power, Range, and/or Penetration. Each shot modification has a Low draw on top of the pistols normal draw, the EX-6 Energy Pistols themselves have a Low draw, split between both pistols.
@kersel Just put your heart into, that's all I ask! Usually a decent post in my experience (and I've been roleplaying some 20 years) is around at the very least 3 paragraphs to get across everything in the scene. That's what it's all about afterall, crafting a story together!
I tend to post between 2 & 3 paragraphs, depending on scene, situation, etc. Is that ok?
