How are duels going to be handled, by the way? Are they going to be played out with an RNG or written with whatever draws people think would be the most helpful/dramatic at the time?

So, this is kind of a silly idea I had a little while back. Basically, as the title says, it's a Disgaea RP, with all the fourth wall stuff (as in "main characters", "levelling up", etc, not characters reading the OOC thread or bits of posts taking place in other scenes) that entails. However, the main characters (well, most of them at least) are people from Earth who find themselves in a netherworld, transformed into demons. From there, shenanigans and violence ensue as they go off to find out what happened and kill the overlord, using a rundown hotel as their base. After all, this stuff's usually the big villain's fault, right?
To start with, I'm going to be limiting things to 10 characters, just so things don't get too crazy. This should probably go without saying, but given the franchise this is based on, I'd prefer if we avoided overly serious grimdark. While things might get ridiculous later on as far as character power goes, keep in mind that PCs should be starting off on the lower end of the scale.

- Class: Keep in mind that the characters coming from Earth are "main characters" and will probably have unique class names. Feel free to put whether they're glass cannons/tanks/squishy healers/etc here, as well as anything about what types of weapons they're good with.
- Equipment: Any notable things characters have with them when they come from Earth, as well as actual starting gear.
- Powers: Evilities, magichanges (for monster characters), spells and other special skills go here. Please give descriptions for what things do aside from just "deals x damage" or "restores y% of adjacent allies' HP each turn" though.
- Abilities: things your character's good at which aren't related to their demonic abilities.

A short distance from the group, Rachel gasped for air as she appeared behind some nearby trees. She fell a short distance to the ground, wincing as her rear connected with the soft earth below. The brunette slowly got to her feet, and dusted off her jeans before glancing around the area to try and get some idea of where she was. The strange trees just made her feel even more lost though. She couldn't help but overhear the group's conversation, and peeked out from behind a tree, trying to remain inconspicuous. Better to be safe than sorry, after all. The attempt at stealth was cut off after a few moments when she stepped on a fallen twig, creating a loud snapping sound. Rachel froze in place, hoping the group wouldn't notice.

To be honest, he doesn't really have much influence. He's basically just a magical power source for the Driver.

Appearance: Similar to this, except she generally wears jeans and an Iron Maiden or Kamen Rider-based T-shirt rather than a tracksuit. She's roughly 5'6" tall.
Personality: Rachel is shy around people she doesn't know. However once she feels comfortable around someone, she becomes more cheerful and energetic, if a bit snarky at times. She can be surprisingly hammy, when she feels the situation calls for it. She is a fan of assorted manga and anime, mostly slice of life or action series, as well as assorted tokusatsu series. She also enjoys music, mostly metal (generally more of the heavy or power varieties) and rock and cooking.
History: There isn't really much to say. Rachel has had a boring, ordinary life for the most part. Her parents split up when she was little, although it was mostly civil and she still sees both of them. She coasted through school without any real effort, getting decent grades in the process. She recently moved out of home and started studying to become a teacher.
Starting items: Glasses, a Playstation Portable and a horribly outdated mobile phone.
Ability: The Tyrant Driver, as well as the Tyrant and Driver On rings. The Driver is fairly similar to the Beast Driver in appearance and function, and normally looks like a belt with a silver buckle shaped like a closed gate. The Driver On ring's only function is to activate the Driver, allowing Rachel to transform into Kamen Rider Tyrant by inserting the Tyrant Ring in a slot on the Driver's left hand side and turning it counter-clockwise, opening the front buckle that reveals a golden image of the Ogre phantom's head inside. In this form, she wields a Dice Saber, which she can use with some proficiency thanks to Ogre, though she's far from an expert. In addition, as a Kamen Rider, her physical abilities are boosted and the armour provides a good level of defence.
As Tyrant, Rachel dons a suit of armour resembling Ogre's appearance, with some differences. Her helmet resembles the right side of his head, mirrored and with larger, red eyes. Her chest and shoulder armour resemble the grey side of his body (although with the grey parts coloured purple), rather than the large mouth and yellow parts. Similarly the legs have the purple sections uninterrupted by the mouths on Ogre. The armour on both of her arms resembles Ogre's left arm.

Ehe, yeah. Basically, the demonic Kirby is more or less a power source for the transformation, I guess, rather than actually doing anything on its own. If that makes sense. And yes, just the demonic Kirby would either result in being completely useless or being killed and replaced by said monster.
My current idea is basically linking my character's soul to a demonic Kirby/Megaman thing, allowing them to transform into an armoured form which can mount assorted monsters' heads (assuming I've read things correctly, would probably put a few of my points towards actually getting those) on its shoulder to borrow their powers. Also their most powerful attacks are based on the roll of a die and can easily end up comically useless.
Assuming I'm actually around to post when the RP starts at least. Speaking of, is everyone jumping linked (like...does everyone jump to the same spot in the same world at the same time every time) or would there be a possibility of coming in a little late if I can't post immediately? ^^;

I'm not sure if I'll be able to join this after all, depending on when the RP's likely to start. Getting dragged around visiting family for Christmas and I don't know how much computer access I'll have until some time in January.
