Equestrian Contact

The dwarven exploration fleet, under command of Admiral Tormek, began to follow the four Equestrian cruisers despite the crew being quite suspicious and nervous of the situation due to the odd contact with the Cephalrrior and the shared language with the Equestrians.

"Where shall we meet for the diplomatic meeting? Our diplomatic team is prepared to go wherever is most convenient for the Equestrian Empire."

Cephalrrior Contact

"Transmission traced back to the asteroids, admiral. Just as the Equestrians said, sir." said the communications officer.
"Alright. I don't feel comfortable at all with someone hiding in an asteroid field and sending odd messages. Let's see what they're up to." said Admiral Tormek.

Transmission to the Cephalrrior:
"We, the Federated Clans of Thorum, come in peace and do not wish to fight you or your allies."

I would consider that more of an OOC issue, really. I'm gonna edit the original post to state the nation name rather than dwarves, because I find it a little strange to think that powerful nations have never even heard of each other before

Even if you do change it to the nation name, the dwarves will still be nervous because one of two things just happened. Either the Cephalrrior are the Reapers or they were listening on in the conversation and both of these outcomes are not something that the dwarves would like.

The dwarves are nervous because the Cephalrrior called them 'dwarves' and there are only two groups that the dwarves have come in contact with and that is the Equestrians and the Reapers. Since the Equestrians called them 'new friends' the dwarves assumed that the Equestrians have never spoken to the Cephalrrior before, so this makes the dwarves believe that the Cephalrrior are the Reapers.

"This has to be those damn aliens again because no one else knows about us except them. Someone find out where that bloody message came from?" said Tormek with rage.
"Unable to trace that message, sir." said the communications officer.
"Is there anyone else in the area except these two fleets?" asked Tormek.
"Negative, sir." replied the chief petty officer.
"Keep yours eyes peeled, lads. This might turn into an unpleasant expedition real fast." said Tormek.

Transmission to the Equestrians:
"Who are these 'new friends' of ours? We are unable to locate them, and I assure you that we will not tolerate trickery."

"I don't know what to think of this transmission." said Tormek.
"Sir?" asked the chief petty officer.
"Our language is theirs as well, and we got this language from the aliens during the war. I'm hoping that this other nation that they're talking about isn't what I think it is." Tormek explained.
"Why are we using the alien language anyway, sir?" asked the chief petty officer.
"It is much easier to learn, speak, and write compared to the old language. I can vouch for that." replied Tormek.
"Are all the men at their battle stations?" asked Tormek.
"Yes, sir." said the chief petty officer.
"Good, be on the lookout for any signs of hostility. I'll see if I can send a 'diplomatic' team over their." said Tormek.

"We have a diplomatic team prepared to meet you if you should so allow us to come aboard your ship."

I'll see about getting that changed to an actual dwarven language.

EDIT: Disregard that. The reason I have the language could be related to the Reapers I suppose.

English with a Scottish accent. Since the Scots just speak Scottish English, I just went with English. You could treat it as a foreign language that you haven't seen before, but that is up to you.

"Admiral, foreign fleet at twelve o'clock." said the chief petty officer.
"Is it those damn aliens again?" asked Tormek.
Admiral Tormek walked to the window of the bridge and took a closer look using his pair of old fashion binoculars.
"Negative, sir." answered the chief petty officer.
"Admiral, incoming transmission from that fleet out there. Looks like a bunch of 0s and 1s, sir. Not a clue what they are saying." said the communications officer.
"Send them a message in our language and be as peaceful as possible before we get shot at. Also, see if ya can get them to translate our language into theirs. Get the lads to their battle stations just in case, but don't activate any of the weapon systems until ya hear my command." Admiral Tormek ordered.
