Krak Grenades, Frag Grenades: Frag grenades are common, simplistic weapons that are utilized in anti infantry purposes, each detonation sending waves of shrapnel out to devastate organic and lightly armored targets, though most vehicles and heavily armored foes tend to shrug off such shrapnel.
Krak Grenades, unlike Frags, utilize a highly concentrated, implosive blast to punch through armor. While lacking the area of effect found on other grenades, each Krak grenade tends to punch through armor rather easily, providing an inexpensive and simple level of anti armor for most infantry forces.
Combi Godwyn-De'az Pattern Boltgun: The standard-issue weapon for the Battle Sisters since their first formation, and is unchanged due to its superiority to nearly all other boltgun-type weapons. As a combi weapon, the Bolter also has an underslung Flamer for engagements in close quarters fights.
Bolt Pistol: A compact, scaled down version of the ubiquitous Bolter, the Bolt Pistol utilizes the same ammunition, and ammo subtypes, to provide a powerful, heavy duty sidearm commonly paired with melee weapons.
Acitus Pattern Chainsword: Compared to the default variant of Chainsword, this rarer and less seen model has a much longer blade, giving it more reach than most common models of chainsword.
Notable Deeds:
Paradise Planet Purge: Sister Sylerine’s first assignment as a fully fledged Sister of Battle was as part of a strike team being sent to a planet lost to Slaanesh. The pleasure world had been secretly dedicated to the worship of the Warp God of Excess, and as the planet burned in the throes of rebellion and Chaos infestation, regiments of Imperial Guard supported by the Adeptus Sororitas, including Sister Sylerine, were deployed to defeat the forces of Excess. Long, drawn out battles between the cities and plains scattered across the world saw most of the planet ruined, but it was completely purged of all Chaos activity. Most of the Guard were dead, and a fair number of Adeptus Sororitas were also lost, but Sylerine lived to see another battle.
Traitors Within: All was not well in the aftermath of the purgation of the Chaos presence upon the paradise world. While part of the forces maintaining order until permanent forces could make it to relieve them and allow them to move out to the next war, the survivors of several broken regiments of Guard vanished. Left undermanned, the Sisters looked into the matter to find Slaaneshi traitors within their ranks, whispering lies into the ears of their brothers and sisters in arms. Only the Sisters of Battle and a regiment of loyal Guard stood against the traitors, who bolstered their ranks from the survivors of the purgation. Attempting to storm the capitol building that the loyalists set up in, vicious room by room fighting ensued after the main gate was destroyed by suicide attacks. But, after several weeks of fighting, reinforcements arrived to relieve the loyalists, and finish off the renegade Guard and their traitorous masters once and for all on this planet.
Nurgle Cult Takedown: After reinforcements were received, the now veteran Sister Sylerine was assigned to a newly formed squad of Celestians, some of the best infantry that the Adeptus Sororitas can field. Their next major assignment was to react to the rumors and potential for a cult of Nurgle worshipping cultists on a Hive world. Entering the slums, flamers primed and bolters loaded, they quickly tracked down signs of disease and mutation, burning out the corruption and potential arrival of a major Nurgle cult. Anything the cultists or their hired mercenaries had quickly burned under the heat of the Celestian weapons. However, the Celestian Superior was lost, and as the next most experienced member of the squad, Celestian Sylerine was not experienced enough to make Superior, but in due time one could see her making the position of Superior, if she would stay within their usual command structure.
Hunting Renegades: Celestian Superior Sylerine quickly attracted the attention of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor, who was looking for talent to pad his retinue and provide a zealous weapon to unleash upon the foes that stood against him and his ilk. So she was quickly and quietly snatched away from her sisters, recruited into the shadowy organization of the Ordo Hereticus. Her first task was to provide the muscle in hunting down a renegade Hereticus inquisitor. The renegade had unleashed traitor mercenaries to prevent his downfall, however, between the Inquisitor’s experience and skill, and the combat skill of the Celestian Sylerine and fellow retinue members, they brought down the Renegade in the heart of his own citadel, a xeno ruin, and destroyed the ruin on the way out. Thus marked the beginning of Celestrian Sylerine’s career as an Inquisitorial bodyguard.
Genestealer Hunt: During her time with the Hereticus inquisitor, signs of what was initially thought of as the seeds of chaos corruption being planted upon an agri world. It was suspected that blending into the massive farms as extra labor, or perhaps local leaders of such farm working parties. So, with Celestian Sylerine in tow, flew down to the surface and looked for signs of the chaos infestation. Several months of investigation led to them finding the nest of something far more insidious than Chaos. Genestealers of the Tyranid, still too small to summon a Hive fleet, but large enough to be dangerous to the Inquisitorial team. With their weapons and gear, the Inquisitor, Celestian Sylerine, and retinue at the ready, they marched into the farm that was sheltering the Genestealers, and razed it all. Damage to the farm was absolute, but there was no doubt the Genestealers were incinerated in the ensuing firestorm.
Flames for the Lost: After all this time together the Inquisitor had been harboring an artifact he had found on the Renegade they had killed before. This artifact was one of chaos and without being shielded from its taint he became slowly corrupted. Celestian Sylerine saw the changes, and became suspicious of the man and slowly moved herself into a position where she was least noticed letting others of the retinue become more in the spotlight. Till one day the inquisitor finally snapped. He brought everyone into the bridge of the ship and began giving a speech to them of the truth of the Galaxy that everything they knew had been a lie, but one person was missing, Celestian Sylerine moved from the darkness she had been waiting in and fired her bolter point blank into the back of the inquisitor’s head. She then unleashed a volley of bolter fire into the rest of the retinue and then unleashed gouts of white hot promethium removing any taint there was upon the ship. Everyone died except her, and she waited until she was picked up by a passing Imperial Vessel.
