Rune Mastery - Possessing a prodigious knowledge of most known runic languages, Nico can utilise multiple runic circles and arrays to accomplish various feats of magic:

• Barriers: The overall durability of these barriers depends on the quality and complexity of the runes, on a whim using his Tattoo Magic he can block blows from conventional weapons with ease. With a pre-prepared runic array magic can withstand most high-level magic.
• Seal: Able to seal away inanimate objects for later use, or in the case of high-grade seals the same for attacks. Often Nico would seal away his opponent's attacks, using his tattoos on his own body.
• Limited Elemental Magic: There are runic symbols for all five main elements; fire, wind,lightning water and earth. Nico, using his extensive knowledge of runes can employ these elements (his affinity with each is weaker in the line of order: left to right) through the use of many runic tattoos across his body, even allowing for some combination attacks. However he is easily taxed using it and his control over the elements pales in comparison with a magic user who specialises with the elemental affinity.

Imperial Eye

Imperial Eye - Hereditary eye magic granting abilities that has been passed down through the royal Flamel bloodline, which is unlocked and activated after chanting an incantation. Far more taxing on his stamina to use than either Tattoo Magic or Runes.

• King’s Sacred Commandment: Any form of Caster magic is able seen as ‘colored strands’ of intent shaping the magic and the ethernano powering it. With this ability Nico can discern different types of Caster magic with just a glance and even snap the link between intent and ethernano which causes the magic to cease be. Though this is only possible within the range of his perception and the higher level a magic is, the more strands that are needed to be broken and therefore more energy and time is expended doing so.
• King’s Divine Judgement: Requiring direct eye-to-eye contact, the Imperial Eye can judge whether or not a person is innocent. For the guilty it induces an illusion where they relive the torment and terror they have inflicted onto others. This ability can be effectively resisted by the strong-willed or the insane.
• King’s Transcendant Blade: Requiring the full recital of the complete verse of incantation, it can call upon a giant building-sized sword, named 'Ea' "The Sword That Cut the World Apart", to fall from the skies onto a selected area. The impact is devastating, shaping the very earth with its power, making sure to leave nothing behind in its wake. The use of such magic leaves him completely spent of magic for a whole day.

In the midst of the power vacuum the dragons left, two noble families climbed to positions of power together, bringing order and peace to the aftermath of the Dragon King Festival. The Fiore family worked with the Flamels until the matter of the crown came into question, at first Nicodemus's ancestor was agreed upon to be ruler but then on the coronation day was slain by his Fiore comrades and his family was banished.

Five hundred years into the present and after the rise and fall of the Black Wizard, magic being forced into hiding, the subsequent hunting for magic, and countless assassination attempts, the last remaining direct descendant of the Flamel bloodline has been born into the world without lands or wealth and after a gruesome childbirth; parents. Even centuries after a broken promise there are still men loyal to the name though not for noble reasons, the faceless men that have taken on the newly-named Nicodemus Flamel are more than displeased with how magic is regarded in this time and age and wish to manipulate him to become their own puppet king. But they would be foolish to think a child with an old name would be enough to regain his rightful seat of power, they had hidden far from the eyes of the world and hired the best of tutors; educating him in languages, sciences, mathematics, politics, combat and most especially magic.

With time he grew into a man worthy of the title that is rightfully his and with that the men who took him in offered up a piece of parchment left to him from his dying mother. On it were scant remnants of his Family Words:

I am the Soul of the King
My blood is royal
And my soul is noble
Seeking what is rightfully mine
I shall transcend existence
And ascend to my divine throne
For I am the King of the Soul

With these words uttered Nico had brought upon divine judgement among the conclave of liars and manipulators, seeing them for who they really are. Uncovering their true intentions and in his rage, he had summoned Ea from the skies and demolished their stronghold to bits. As exhausted and deprived of magic he was then, with little time before the authorities would come to investigate he fled the scene, off into the shadows to rest and recover.

Now Nicodemus Flamel is set on a journey to reclaim his rightful throne through his own power. What shall lay on his path to do so?

Personality: Without question, Nicodemus’s most prominent personality trait is his ego. This is true whether it manifests itself in his “vengeful monarch” or “noble champion” modes. Though capable of kindness and fairness, he’s usually impulsive and overconfident, with little regard for the consequences of his actions.

Personality: If Samuel was to be described in one word, it would have to be 'fighter'. He's always eager to butt heads with someone and that trait had stuck with him through high school, military training, his boxing career and the events following the outbreak. Always driven by his spirit to fight and the means to back it up, Samuel was always nice to keep around with during a crisis. However this trait of his always ends up with either him or those around getting hurt, so he has mellowed out considerably in comparison to his younger self.

While Samuel is aggressive that doesn't naturally mean that he is a bully at heart. He would never aggravate someone he considers weaker than himself and even going out of his way to fend off actual bullies from people who can't defend themselves. One of the facet of his 'fighter' philosophy is that only the strong are able to defend the weak. He strongly believes in the notion that there are three types of people in this world; sheep, wolves and sheepdogs.

He's difficult to befriend at first, considering his many abandonment issues but once through his defensive mechanism; the façade as a lone gunslinger, people would find a die-hard loyal friend. Samuel's capable of acts of kindness but is inept on a certain level to do so consciously, it is more common that he does so without knowing.

History

Your First Walker Encounter: Samuel was caught up in the midst of the outbreak in Atlanta with his manager/coach named Dennis, the two were on the outskirts of the city doing their best to flee into the more rural areas. Long since abandoning their car to the unmoving traffic the duo headed into the alleyways in attempt to head to safety. They ran up on a small pack of walkers, the first time seeing them in person, and in an act of self-preservation and general assholishness Dennis had pushed his longtime client towards the pack and ran back to the open street, only to be run down by a truck set on fire, served the bastard right. Luckily Samuel had managed to sock the walker closest to him in the jaw and outrun the rest, making sure to stay clear of dark alleys from then and safely made it out of Atlanta.

History Before Outbreak: Samuel wasn't born on the best of circumstances, conceived out of wedlock between Lee Soo Ji and Capt. Johnathan Clarke as an unexpected, unwanted child. His maternal family rejecting him for his foreign blood and his father not wanting anything to do with raising a baby, Samuel's mother was forced to raise him on her own, with no support of any kind. Though he didn't look the part as a child he was often picked on for his American heritage and he didn't take too kindly to the treatment, on various occasions Soo Ji was called to the school office after her son started to fight back his bullies.

At the age of fifteen he had grown up known as a delinquent who had a short fuse and started a lot of fights and finished a lot more. Nonetheless his mother and grown to love him, seeing past the image he keeps up to ward off others, as a lonely boy missing his father. But this motherly love had ill timing; Soo Jii was diagnosed with terminal cancer at the age of thirty-six and had little time on this earth. Though with this stroke of misfortune came some good news in the form of Samuel's father, Johnathan, wanting to reconnect with his son and mother of said child. It was eventually agreed upon between the two parents that Samuel would move to America with his father and after a few weeks, many tears shed, and a black eye (Johnathan's), he would have landed on American soil with his father.

The father and son at first had trouble adjusting to one another but with time they would resolve their issues on the one of the few common ground they had: fighting. Johnathan would school his son in hand-to-hand combat after hearing of his stories back in Korea and witnessing an incident at his high school where some of the students would haze the new kid. Samuel would have found a natural innate talent at kicking ass to the point where he was actually scouted by a professional boxer who would frequent the same gym that he would go to. After being invited to participate in a regional amateur tournament and even though he would wound up losing in the semifinals to the current champion, his performance was so impressive that he was offered to go professional as soon as he graduated.

This would have gone off without a hitch if it were not for the fact that Samuel as a male born in the Republic of Korea, needed to do a two-year mandatory military service, luckily his father knowing the intricacies of military procedure had enlisted him for his service on Fort Benning, down in Columbus, Georgia. During his two years Samuel had been trained in the use of firearms, improved his already-athletic physique and learn various practical survival skills. The military instructors had even managed to further hone his brutish nature to fight into something more befitting of a warrior; more collected, adhering to the chain of command and slightly less impulsive than he was before. After learning much from his military service had taken up that long over-due promise for a boxing career and has been making a name himself as an exceptional rookie on the professional stage ever since.

History Since Outbreak: During the first weeks of the outbreak as soon as Atlanta fell to the outbreak Samuel went off on his own to Franklintown, where he last made contact with his father. On his journey he would encounter the initial looting and civil unrest that followed the outbreak, though he would wisely avoid areas of large population and thus the chaos that was brought up by small gangs and the undead, he would already have to dispatch many of the latter on the way to Florida. It was then when Samuel would find his trusty modernised gladius, twenty-five inch long and two inch thick blade of steel, that was discarded in a corpse, splitting its head in two.

Eventually after two weeks of travel he arrived in his home in Franklintown though he would be utterly devastated at what he found. At first he was relieved with how the house was boarded up and manned with homemade defences but he soon noticed the bullet casings littering the pavement and the door wide open. He crept inside and after weeks of not knowing his father's fate Samuel had found him, sitting in the sofa, his rotting head blown to bits, finger on the trigger, holding picture frame, holding a photo of a teen striking up a boxing pose, Samuel would grieve for years to come but only then would he allow himself to cry. After using up his tear ducts, he would bury the man who raised him on his favourite spot on the beach that overlooked the ocean with the sun setting.

A few months into the first year Samuel would have travelled back up to the state of Georgia, specifically the city of Columbus, where Fort Benning would be. After arriving and to his dismay he had found the base looted of most its supplies and many corpses, both the dead and the undead, littered about the place. What he would find was some military rations, a map which detailed the rate of infection across the country (which was mostly inaccurate even then) and a .308 Remington Model 700 with some ammo lying around. With everything he could gather all packed up into his rucksack, Samuel would have quickly fled the place before he could be alerted to its residents.

The second year had him jumping from town to town, occasionally camping it out for more than a few weeks in a comfortable enough house. He encountered plenty of the undead as he travelled but the most challenge they posed killing was when they came in large groups and that was a rare occurrence.However he had somehow managed to steer clear of people so far but this would have probably been due to his manner of travelling; through thick forestry and avoiding highly populated towns like the plague, although despite his best efforts it was inevitable that he would run into someone.

During the third year a group of four men of variable ages, the youngest looking eighteen or so, had rolled up with trucks into the town he was currently residing in. Samuel would observe from two blocks away on the roof of a building, using the scope on his rifle, the group unloaded a person from one of their trucks. They forced the man onto his knees, who looked to be sobbing and seemingly pleading for something, one of the four who appeared to be a leader had enough, pulling out a pistol and shot him point black to the face. Samuel had watched from afar, surprisingly coping well with witnessing a murder but truth to be told; he was alarmed, considering the past two years, confirming that his Remington was loaded, he continued to observe the scene unfold. The other three men each with their own machetes began to undress the dead man laying on the ground and promptly began to butcher him. It was at this point did Samuel decide on the fate of the four men, he had heard stories of cannibalism during times of crisis but never did he think that someone would be so weak enough to take a page from the undead and follow suit. Being caught completely off guard with a pair of pistols, a shotgun and no way of discerning where the shooter was? They didn't have a chance..

Samuel would leave town the next morning none the worse and continued to travel across Georgia. Ever since encountering the group of cannibals he had killed three more men and many more walkers..

What if I were to adapt on your first idea? Still illustrious and really adds to the 'vengeful' part of him whilst keeping to RP canon. Would that work?

Lobo warily eyes the girl who just hugged, being more uncomfortable than he would like to be with the first act of affection since.. though he would never admit it. His attention snaps back to the annoying blonde who grew more and more annoying by the minute, "Call me 'fireball' again and let's just see what happens when I shove one down your throat," he growled losing his remarkably short patience. He turns back to the old man, "Good luck with getting everyone to play nice with each other," he shoots a glance off at Sven, "Also.. monsters?"

Power: Fire - Though he is able to produce his own fire, it tires himself out faster than manipulating already existing sources of fire so he carries his own zippo lighter around. He can control flames with ease whilst also being subject to extremely high temperature without harm. Lobo is able to form constructs with his fire; fireballs, tornadoes and even quasi-sentient beings of fire.
Lava - With the scarcity of lava above the Earth's crust Lobo is completely unaware of this power. However with this he can even survive within an active volcano without worry, something that would have been impossible with his control over fire alone.

Bio: Lobo was born to a family of eight, even for a child he could always be found with a bright smile on his face. That was until tragedy struck when the Herrero household, save Lobo and his younger sister Clara, died in a horrible car crash. Having no other relatives to turn the two had ended up in the system and to make matter even worse Lobo and Clara were separated into different foster homes.

Lobo, the smiling child was no more and the years of suffering abuse from foster parents, expulsions from school and getting into fights have taken a toll; changing him into indifferent and cold runaway who's prone to violence.

A month ago he found a piece of obsidian lodged right above his heart, visible on his chest. Ever since then he has been experimenting with his newfound powers, finding them quite useful during his late night escapades. Fast forward to the present and Lobo has his interest piqued by the email, with claims of knowledge on the mysterious gem.

Sol watches, off from a distance, at the scenes that were unfolding; the looters, HYDRA soldiers, classmates who were right now schooling the two groups and not to mention the burning buildings, speaking of which..

With a wave of his hand the pyrokinetic torches up the nearest structure on fire: a modest-looking apartment complex, with the much hotter cosmic flames eating up the source of oxygen, the regular ol' plain fires had little time before they were snuffed out with the lack of fuel to burn. Satisfied with his work he disperses his own flames, leaving the apartment somewhat charred but no longer on fire. "Neat." Sol murmurs to himself before flying off to other burning buildings to the same.

Tattoo Magic - Nicodemus's body can generate tattoos on a whim, producing many runic tattoos that enhance his body and magic. Most tattoos are temporary but there are few that are etched permanently:

• Rune of Strength: Placed on various key points of the human body, the runes make his muscles stronger and faster.
• Rune of Fortitude: Runic arrays painfully carved onto his bones develops the density up to staggering levels helping it become incredibly resistant to force.
• Rune of Life: Engraved onto his very heart, granting him endurance and vitality that would be difficult to challenge.
• Rune of Lightning: A series of runic tattoos, at the base of the skull, triples the reaction rate by superconducting the neural system.

Rune Mastery

Rune Mastery - Possessing a prodigious knowledge of most known runic languages, Nico can utilise multiple runic circles and arrays to accomplish various feats of magic:

• Barriers: The overall durability of these barriers depends on the quality and complexity of the runes, on a whim using his Tattoo Magic he can block blows from conventional weapons with ease. With a pre-prepared runic array magic can withstand most high-level magic.
• Seal: Able to seal away inanimate objects for later use, or in the case of high-grade seals the same for attacks. Often Nico would seal away his opponent's attacks, using his tattoos on his own body.
• Limited Elemental Magic: There are runic symbols for all five main elements; fire, wind,lightning water and earth. Nico, using his extensive knowledge of runes can employ these elements (his affinity with each is weaker in the line of order: left to right) through the use of many runic tattoos across his body, even allowing for some combination attacks. However he is easily taxed using it and his control over the elements pales in comparison with a magic user who specialises with the elemental affinity.

Imperial Eye

Imperial Eye - Hereditary eye magic granting abilities that has been passed down through the royal Flamel bloodline, which is unlocked and activated after chanting an incantation. Far more taxing on his stamina to use than either Tattoo Magic or Runes.

• King’s Sacred Commandment: Any form of Caster magic is able seen as ‘colored strands’ of intent shaping the magic and the ethernano powering it. With this ability Nico can discern different types of Caster magic with just a glance and even snap the link between intent and ethernano which causes the magic to cease be. Though this is only possible within the range of his perception and the higher level a magic is, the more strands that are needed to be broken and therefore more energy and time is expended doing so.
• King’s Divine Judgement: Requiring direct eye-to-eye contact, the Imperial Eye can judge whether or not a person is innocent. For the guilty it induces an illusion where they relive the torment and terror they have inflicted onto others. This ability can be effectively resisted by the strong-willed or the insane.
• King’s Transcendant Blade: Requiring the full recital of the complete verse of incantation, it can call upon a giant building-sized sword, named 'Ea' "The Sword That Cut the World Apart", to fall from the skies onto a selected area. The impact is devastating, shaping the very earth with its power, making sure to leave nothing behind in its wake. The use of such magic leaves him completely spent of magic for a whole day.

Long ago when the title of ‘King’ meant more than just being a political figurehead, when a King took the responsibility of protecting and governing his people into his own hands, a kingdom, that had covered what was now Fiore, was under the reign of the Flamels. A dynasty that had lasted countless centuries withstanding gods, demons and dragons, that had ensured a period of peace and prosperity throughout its lands. But as in the nature of good things, it did not last; the Flamels had gone lax and weak within their long era without conflict and with that, they were grossly unprepared for the cataclysm that will be recorded in the history tomes as the ‘Dragon King Festival’. Between the war of dragons and rise of Acnologia the Flamels fell from power, their lands upturned, armies destroyed and castles demolished.

Five hundred years into the present and after the rise and fall of the Black Wizard, magic being forced into hiding, the subsequent hunting for magic, and countless assassination attempts, the last remaining direct descendant of the Flamel bloodline has been born into the world without lands or wealth and after a gruesome childbirth; parents. Even centuries after their reign there are still men loyal to the name though not for noble reasons, the faceless men that have taken on the newly-named Nicodemus Flamel are more than displeased with how magic is regarded in this time and age and wish to manipulate him to become their own puppet king. But they would be foolish to think a child with an old name would be enough to regain his rightful seat of power, they had hidden far from the eyes of the world and hired the best of tutors; educating him in languages, sciences, mathematics, politics, combat and most especially magic.

With time he grew into a man worthy of the title that is rightfully his and with that the men who took him in offered up a piece of parchment left to him from his dying mother. On it were scant remnants of his Family Words:

I am the Soul of the King
My blood is royal
And my soul is noble
Seeking what is rightfully mine
I shall transcend existence
And ascend to my divine throne
For I am the King of the Soul

With these words uttered Nico had brought upon divine judgement among the conclave of liars and manipulators, seeing them for who they really are. Uncovering their true intentions and in his rage, he had summoned Ea from the skies and demolished their stronghold to bits. As exhausted and deprived of magic he was then, with little time before the authorities would come to investigate he fled the scene, off into the shadows to rest and recover.

Now Nicodemus Flamel is set on a journey to reclaim his throne through his own power. What shall lay on his path to do so?

Personality: Without question, Nicodemus’s most prominent personality trait is his ego. This is true whether it manifests itself in his “vengeful monarch” or “noble champion” modes. Though capable of kindness and fairness, he’s usually impulsive and overconfident, with little regard for the consequences of his actions.

Guild and Guild-Mark Location: -

Three Strengths:
1. Groomed to rule; skilled in diplomacy, court politics, managing matters of the state, etc.
2. Possesses an iron liver, has yet to meet anyone able to drink him under the table.
3. Displays an indomitable will by meeting his body, mind and spirit’s limits and exceeding them.

Three Weaknesses:
1. An arrogance which is common amongst royalty though he still recognises those who are well above himself.
2. Has a tendency to rely on his two lesser magics before resorting to the Imperial Eye.
3. Any slip-up using Rune Magic can lead to severe magical backlash even if Nicodemus is second to none in this field of magic.

Greatest Love: Studying ancient languages and rune arrays.

Motivation: To overthrow the current king, gaining the throne, through his own individual power not by the machinations of others as a puppet.

I didn't quite get your critique on the Tattoo Magic or maybe it's just that I didn't clarify it (which soon become all too common). The magic allows him to create/erase tattoos on himself and this just goes hand in hand with his runes. So yeah guess it's my bad on that one.

The thing on 'nigh-unbreakable' bones I get sorta but I mean there's always impalement and internal damage, also if something were strong enough to break his bones then I reckon it would result in something much more worse than a broken arm or leg.

The unicorn blood part.. yeah I just wanted to insert an interesting tidbit in with everything.

Uhh our reflexes depend on how fast signals transmit from our body to the brain, no? I'm not an expert in the field so I might be horribly wrong but I thought that was the general consensus. Also note to Rune of Strength's faster muscles. Did tone the increase down through, being faster than a trained speed magic user is over the top.

The Imperial Eye, first off: thanks for noticing the amount of effort I put into^ Very heartening, I was brainstorming for a good hour or so and the mechanics of it^ Forgot to include the last part of Sacred Commandment, whoops. Thought an hour would be enough at first but then realised just how ridiculous that was, so I changed it to a day and completely spent like you advised to.

Aaaand the backstory.. yeah I didn't spend enough time with it as I should have. Once again: my bad.

Just wanted to say: you didn't seem so harsh at all, I completely got where you came from and grateful for not jumping the gun there with Nico.

Swore I edited the age to early 20s or so. Now I've done so. Addressed the unicorn blood part, didn't really go for the 'pure of heart' but it's misleading, so removed.

Downgraded the Barrier and y'know I always thought Abyss Break as building buster tier with Fairy Law a selective army buster and Etherion being a solid island buster. Thanks for clearing that up with me, did not know.

The teleportation seemed great at first, I was sorta basing my Runes off of Narutoverse seals and other stuff so that ability seemed to key in. Guess I needed someone to tell me that would be overpowered on top of everything else.

Nico's impulsive and confident for good reason, ego being his most prominent personality trait. And he would like his throne back, as he was raised to desire the one thing he was taken in for. The guy's a magic Vegeta or Namor, an anti-hero coming from a royal background with too much pride and ego.

Sorry, slipped my mind to name the sword from the Transcendant Blade.

Okay this part really confused me and it may just be me. I looked over the character section there was a few S classes here and there. So with his pre-edited powerset I didn't see fit to call him an A class and it was my mistake to not have it clarified before.
