My lover's got humour
She's the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody's disapproval
I should've worshiped her sooner
If the Heavens ever did speak
She is the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday's getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week
'We were born sick,' you heard them say it
My church offers no absolutes
She tells me 'worship in the bedroom'
The only heaven I'll be sent to
Is when I'm alone with you
I was born sick, but I love it
Command me to be well
Amen. Amen. Amen
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
If I'm a pagan of the good times
My lover's the sunlight
To keep the Goddess on my side
She demands a sacrifice
To drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That's a fine looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We've a lot of starving faithful
That looks tasty
That looks plenty
This is hungry work
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
No masters or kings when the ritual begins
There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin
In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene
Only then I am human
Only then I am clean
Amen. Amen.
Good God, let me give you my life
First things first, hi. If you're curious about me and my writing style, please take the time to check out
this thread. I'm looking for a woman who can post 1-3 paragraphs at least once per day, ideally more. I'm not looking to do too many variants of this story; maybe two, maximum, depending on the number of replies I get. With luck, I'll be able to find at least one person who wants to play the role of the witch for me.
Now then, onto the story. It was inspired solely by the song I've listed above, and perhaps if you read through the lyrics you can see why.
A grizzled knight (think Joel from The Last Of Us), freshly disillusioned upon finding corruption at the heart of the church he'd devoted his life to, is excommunicated by his order and exiled from his home. On his way out of the kingdom, he comes across a gathering in a small town wherein the townsfolk were about to set a young woman ablaze. She was branded as a witch and, as was church law, all practitioners of dark arts were heretics and were to be burned for their sins. Spurred by the look in the young woman's eye, the knight decides to intervene and rescue her; one final act of valor in the name of a God who'd since forsaken him.
Unbeknownst to him, the deceivingly innocent-looking woman actually is a not only a witch, but one of the most cunning, capable ones still alive. She has big plans for the fall of the church that undid her brethren and was exterminating her kin, one-by-one. The most powerful of magics, however, require the most powerful of reagents; the purer, the better. What, then, was purer than the love, devotion and
seed of a holy man? She proceeds to bend and manipulate the once powerful man to her will, guiding him, his blade and the powers he still has as a paladin to undo the very church he had once devoutly served.
The story is in need of some work and the characters some fleshing out, but that's where you come in. I'm looking for someone to play the nubile little vixen, a mischievous, playful foil to his grim and stoic ways. I'm hoping that somewhere along the line something more blossoms between them than just lust and desire, but we can discuss that as well.
PM me if you're interested. At least listen to the song if you're not.
