Current Alright, I am back. Something happened to the power at my house and we got it fixed (after a few days of checking the thing out).

I am going to be recovering for my visit to the hospital, so I wouldn't be on for the weekend.

Here is my character sheet, that's still a work in progress.

I am here.
I am interested in a SCI-FI nation roleplay. It's been awhile since I saw one on here.
All of these posts look good; yet, I am not even finish with my character sheet.
I really want to join a military roleplay. It seems interesting to roleplay.
I'm fairly certain that Hungary enjoyed a measure of autonomy within the Austrian Empire at the time, couldn't he simply attempt to play the autonomous government of Hungary within the Empire and slowly make his attempt to break free? Although if there is going to be an Austrian player it could possibly turn them away.

On another note I am wonder if certain world events will take place that happened historically. For instance, the Mexican War of Independence ends later in 1821 and was pretty much over by this time. Will that situation be resolved along with Peru/Brazil, etc?

It depends on the state of that event. If it's near the end and it looks like there's going to be a winner/loser, then I will add it. I might or might not make events like Peru/Brazil, etc. happened. What do you guys think of that?

I assumed that we were starting in 1821 because that's when Napoleon died. End of an age, beginning of another, that sort of thing.

Well, to take Willy's defense, if we want to change national details, we'll necessarily be changing history; Saying, for example, that the Austrian Empire is currently fielding the most elite army in Europe, or that Russian cities are the leading industrial centers of Europe, means changing stuff about the buildup to that situation.

Granted, I agree that we should stick to the historical nations of the time period.

Fair enough. But, I am going to make such that each nation has a flaw in their details.
Oh, you're back. Well, welcome back!

Thanks for taking your time to read this.
I looked at the staff list and it seems that we have only one admit. And four staff, one left and another one is inactive on this site.

That's why we need one more admit, which would have to be either HeySeuss or Sherlock Holmes (depending on who is willing to take the time to help out). And we need more mods, who were on here before the crash and know this site very well.

That's what I suggest.
<Snipped quote by The Grey Warden>Yes?
And how is this connected to nukes?
They are a weapon of war, and something which depending on its use may have heavy political recursions.
Besides, if somebody attempts to wage war because of a petty argument in OOC then they just end up like it happened with the Mexican Empire and ASAE.
If not, then the situation is already so fucked up so it doesn't matter.

Again, you are just being paranoid.

I am just being paranoid? I take it that you haven't roleplay enough to know about this. No, it wouldn't end like that all the time. Trust me, people would just get tried of doing the same thing over and over.

The latter part was just me nitpicking. Pardon me for that.

Anyways, there are sufficient historical data on military industrial and such states if you make the research for it. So it comes back to wiki-linking, again. The only issue is that giving it so much effort may be counterintuitive since we aren't historians but people who pass their time by playing this NRP. But then if you allow people to make up their own about militar and industry then you pretty much already allow them to alter history. So the point is moot.

Also if you can alter history after 1821 then why is it an issue if there's a slight change only a ten or so years before it?
It isn't like we talk about remaking the entire history of the setting.
The topic is an alternate history (which this already is) where Hungarians declared their independence prior to the RP's start and the various consequences resulting from it.

What? Since I allow people to change the country's miltiary, industry, and other thing, I have to give them the opinion to alter history. By change, I mean change just little enough to make sense. I mean, there is info on it; but, there might not be enough of it to summarize it.

And they will not 'link the wiki'. I will make such of that.

My final answer is going to be no. You can't alter history, even if it's ten years or one year before 1821. You can keep trying to change my mind, but it wouldn't work.
