The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

I am of the belief that no matter how sour a situation may be, it can always be made worse. Appreciating what few glimpses of what is good in even troubling times is crucial. Without this, the experience has been that people drag on and on with all the perceived wrongs and troubles of life, that they become shackled to their connections. Life is indeed suffering but one can and does need let go.
There are times I strike out explicitly to interact with people despite my reclusive nature and I always come back finding myself lacking in satisfaction. Each time I fool myself into thinking getting along with human beings might go differently. Surely I will make this mistake again, being involved with them another time and losing more than I gain.
As much as I enjoy the rain for what it brings in offering to all plant and animal life, I much prefer not to be rained upon.
Certainly so, that would work just as fine for Brannor's turn. The only places he won't dare to follow is somewhere which has not been cleared out of threats as of yet. The group hasn't spent too much time in this cave so the odds of reinforcements stumbling on them should still be low, @Hekazu. At least that goes the thinking.
Again an attack will be taken but I suspect it will miss on a 9. Really I am more surprised no one else attacked it from afar before now. Regardless, Brannor will keep pursuing it until it is dead or until it goes so far ahead that it leads down surely some other trapped passage.

Chapter I
"Conceding to the call of fresh water, there is an eagerness and excitement in you that is hard to contain as you kneel beside it. The fount, streaming up from the stones and bubbling up, almost welcomes you with the crystal clear, cool flow it rises with, its tranquil twinkling sound filling your ears as it spills its contents over the sides; a celebratory cup of nature's provisions runneth over. The drink is much needed and soon would only be more so as the heat of the day begins to rise again but for now? Now you drink happily and with pleasure, thankful that your hands can cup such a treasure on this lonesome island."

"For all your worries and suspicions, safety seemed to be your companion for the time being; further away from the sea which had reached out to claim a doomed sailor as yourself. However, as you wipe clean the water from your lips with a wrist, you realize that while there may be water, there exist still no shortage of other threats to you. Or so your suspicions go, as exposure to starvation, all these worries were quite real. So the next question was, now what?"
As requested as part of the reserve characters, my contribution once again. If or until needed, I will merely keep an eye on this topic and it among my subscribed. If anything specifically involves me, please do mention me to add the emphasis; I know there are some on the forum who do not always do so first and so it was safe to note now than later.

Thank you, @DocRock, I will see to it this evening when I again have access to the forums and internet for that purpose. For now, I appreciate the effort and the commitment to meet the expectations.
Seeing so many posts and so much conversation here admittedly lifted my spirits, as did the sudden increase to posting tempo. What a pleasant surprise to see we have a bit of flareup from the embers of the topic. That in mind, given we have some unusual mechanics still in play, I do very much intend to make good use of the versatility of a greatsword for our moontouched paladin when the opportunity comes, if at the least for the effect of narrative.
Regardless if it resembles any shred of sense or not, I commune with the other beasts and the plants or even qualities of the environment itself. I frequently speak to them when I am attending to them and inquire of them or just in passing. At times they respond in their own way, the latter two, as the former are obviously far less vocal and forward. But it is a trait of mine to go so far as replace a stone I displaced or to shake free branches that are bowed with snow in hopes that it is appreciated.
