Government Type: A republic almost completely mimicking the old Roman Republic. 200 senators would be elected by the people with a strict term for how much long they can hold their position. Once all seats have been filled, the senators would then vote among themselves as over higher positions within the senate. This positions are:

They are charged with collecting the information about the registration of each citizens across the country and complying them in a central database. They are at the head of government, and all the other magistrates are subordinate to them, but retains independence of office. The internal machinery of the Republic was under the consuls’ superintendence. Two consuls are held for each term.
Military: The Philippine Armed Forces use rather old technology such as AR-15, decommissioned M1 Abrams and Raptor jet fighters. This outdated weapons are usually bought for a low price, donated or stolen from the Chinese during the world war. The nation is now seaking to modernize its army by researching and mass producing weapons of their own, although their weapons research is still in it's infancy. Once the nation's GDP rises and it's economy recovers however, it has plans on purchasing more modern weapons from more developed nations.

Labour force: Estimated at 50 Million
Labour force by occupation: services (55%) agriculture (30%), industry (15%)
Unemployed: 3.8%
Main Industries: Weapons manufacture, Pharmaceuticals, Electronics assembly, Garments, Footwear, and Food processing.
The nation suffered heavily during the last world war, losing most of its infrastructure because of heavy urban fighting. After the greater Luzon are was liberated from the People's Republic of China, massive reconstruction efforts were done to try and revitalize the economy. As of currently, several reconstruction programs are still underway as the country tries to rebuilt itself. The nation's GDP had plummeted during the war and the current consuls are focusing their efforts to revitalize the nation's ailing economy. Foreign investors are being invited to invest in the country. The United California States of America is the country's biggest and primary trading partner.
Foreign Policy: The Neo-Republic of the Philippines has still have hostilities against the People's Republic of China for invading the nation during world war III. The nation is also at odds with Malaysia and the Kingdom of Thailand for taking over the entire island of Borneo during the war but the two nation's are also it's closest ally because of their common goal to defend themselves from the Chinese. It is now working on opening new relations with other nations to improve its trade and secure its defense against possible future invasions. The nation is not an isolationist one and as previous stated above, is working on improving ties with other countries but is also weary of its neighbors, specially the Canadian Empire. The nation tends to steer itself away from the two rival empires in hopes of being left alone from their conflict.
History: As the American Second Civil War started and the Pacific region was left without a dominant superpower to keep China in check, the People's republic of China began to expand it's borders aggressively. The People's Liberation Army swept through much of the pacific, starting with the Senkaku islands, then with the Spratly islands and then began invading it's neighbors. While army groups spearheaded through its southern neighbors, an army group was sent on an amphibious invasion Taiwan Singapore and the Philippines. By the year 2022, much of the Asian Pacific area was under Chinese control. As expected, rebel forces from the country's they conquered began to spring up in numbers.
In the Philippines, several groups of armed rebels, sponsored by the government through underground connections, began to spring up. They would harass the Chinese supply lines, putting a strain on their logistics and ambush Chinese patrols at night. The Chinese authorities responded quickly and brutality to this attacks by executing alleged collaborators and massive public re-education programs. Many political prisoners were held at the infamous New Bilibid Correctional Facility. During August 13, 2029, the warden of the facility, Marrion Barson, organized a daring escape of his prisoners and non-PLA guards. The prisoners, Filipino rebel guards and Warden Barson quickly escaped to the mountains around the city of Antipolo. There the warden trained his guards and the prisoners with the help of rebel general John Phillips Ignacio. The newly trained men became known as the Bilibid legion. Warden Barson has a deep obsession with history and the Roman republic and empire. His legion operated as a tactical team, putting on more pressure on the Chinese. Soon other rebel groups like the Neo-K.K.K(kagalanggalangang kataastaasang katipunan) and the 'Viva La Pilipinas' rebel group followed the Bilibid legion military structure. By the year 2035, the greater Luzon area had been liberated from the Chinese and parts of Visayas and Mindanao were also beginning to succumb to rebellion. The next year, the Luzon legions launched their offensive on the Visayas and Mindanao. The Philippines was liberated by early January 2018. While in Manila, the capital, a new government was being placed to differentiate itself from the previous government that failed the it's people according to the masses. The hero of the revolution, Warden Barson, developed a new government styled after the ancient Roman republic. This republic was far from the old republic before the Chinese occupation. The Executive, Judiciary and Legislative branches of the government were all rolled into one.
By the late September of 2018, Now Consul Barson urged the senate to let him bring 3 legions, 300,000 men, to Borneo to take advantage of the chaos between the natives and the Chinese to liberate it from the P.L.A. After 3 a month of intense arguments from the lower senators, Consul Barson was allowed to proceed with his plans taking with him now Praetor general Ignacio. The Chinese were not prepared for the assault and was completely taken by surprise as the legions began their amphibious landings. In the course of 5 months, the entire island was taken by the legions. Of course this left them open to Chinese bombardments and so was the capital, Manila. The legions were still able to hold on to the island however but Consul Barson lost his life to the offensive. He's body was taken back home with the highest honors and was given the title "Ama ng makabagong Republika" (Father of the new Republic). A new threat however, forced the Chinese and its neighbors to stop their fighting, the British and Canadian empires. As India fell to the Canadians, China was forced to move back its troops to defend its homeland. A treaty of amnesties was signed between China and those countries it invaded, formally ending the pacific war.
