That's the one thing that I dislike about this site. There are MANY people on here who can or do post really good posts,put time and effort into it,and build complex stories throughout the roleplay. On other sites that I'm on my pool of roleplaying friends is low because there aren't that many people who can do those things and just want to post a simple,short story whereas I prefer long,drawn out and complex stories. but the one downside here is that not that many roleplays make it that far-usually they'll last a few months with a dozen posts before they die. I had one that only lasted a month at the most. I wish it wasn't so because I have so,SO many ideas that I'd like to share but I'm afraid that it won't get far.

When you've had a world that you built, by 'hand', with help from others that spans over many,many millenia that goes from Science Fantasy to Medieval Fantasy and back. Culture,language(really just borrowed because lazy at the time),military organization, map building, pantheon building, history building....All of it. and now I look at it, and I see many inconsistencies...and I want to right that wrong. but since I started so late in it looks very hard to actually start and I don't want to give up on this setting. It tears at me! It's been annoying me the last few days that I can't figure out where to start!

I've thought of it but I'd rather not get arrested for Assault :3 since he's gone I don't have to worry about doing such a thing anymore.

3 things to gripe about,and they're all related to a club that I'm a part of. I'm President senior officer of the club while the other three are just regular Senior Officers. If these sound like I'm being a little -----,then I apologize in advance,as it's been a long month for me.

1.One of the other senior officers-we'll call him Joe- here is trying to control the game. He's trying to single people out and trying to set up a tax system with his friend to take our money away and use it for 'group stuff'. With how he has behaved with money in the past we're sure he'll just take it all. Good thing is that Me and the rest of the party made a contingency plan that if him and his friend try to take all the wealth we'll kill their characters and split the wealth.

2.This also has to do with Joe. Me,Joe, and the other senior officers agreed that we'll do a democratic vote system-we suggest something and the majority wins. If we're at a draw,our advisor will be the deciding vote. Well, he's passed things himself and always tries to control how the club works;you catching a running theme now? The other senior officers are getting sick and tired of it and have vocally expressed how if he continues acting like a dictator they'll just outright leave.

3. This one has NOTHING to do with Joe. Before one of our new Senior Officers joined we had one that we'll call Jaeger. Well,Jaeger was a Senior who transferred to our school and he's the reason why I got into D&D. He's not here anymore as he moved across the country. Anyways, he was a dick. He openly made fun of the group and spun tales to all of us. I caught him making fun of one of the senior officers about his weight. When I tried my hand at DMing for the first time He decided to knock me down into the dirt about how crap it was and that I should never even DM. He's left a lot of scars here and I'm glad he moved away,though I'm in contact with him now as He has stolen $75 worth of stuff from our group the day he left and we're attempting to get him to return it.

so yeah those are what I've had to deal with in the last two weeks.

I've only watched a few episodes, but I'm not really interested in anything that is in a show/book/movie setting. I prefer to make my own,but thank you for asking! Good to see a few others of Sci Fi on here!

My god am I sick of my roleplays taking so long. My other roleplayers are often stuck with real life stuff so it can't be helped but then the more active people drop out and it dies in a few weeks. I myself am not the best gm in the world, nowhere close but what else can I do when there is no one who makes the sort of roleplays I want to join, which also doesn't help.

The roleplays end up just stagnating for a couple weeks and then die unceremoniously. And I hate it especially when people show up for the interest check, don't say a word even if you @t them for confirmation, leaving you with two people out of five to set up a god damn roleplay meant for four people or more. It's really freaking frustrating.

This is EXACTLY why I do not actively seek out multi- user roleplays, There will always be stuff that gets in the way; out of a dozen or so roleplays I've been apart of that were multi-user, only one or two have actually been completed. I get wrapped up in my roleplays and I get absolutely depressed and sad if a roleplay that had a good premise and a promising storyline get derailed when people stopped posting.

On to my rant now: I haven't been on this site that much due to the reason above, but I think I might start getting on it more due to the lack of interest on the other site that I use. I've been trying for the last week and a half to get interest for sci-fi/fantasy/apoc/survival threads,but alas almost noone shows interest,and the ones that do show interest never reply to my response to their inquiry! I do enjoy the other website as it allows for content that can't be on here, but at this moment that doesn't really matter- I REALLY want to get some Sci-Fi threads up!
