@The Omnipotent Sphere Love the character, Is he actually a Cleric of Orcorum or is he just a worshiper? He's fine either way this is just my own curiosity. I like the touch with the Gold Knights, I like the ship ALOT. I can't seem to spot anything particularly problematic. I think he will fit in quite nicely with the Knights of Star.
And Gods TYPICALLY only have one Avatar and that sounds good to me
Quick Geography lesson for Galendar: ANgel's Landing sits smack in the middle of the continent and the whole nation of Galendar is made up of 8 Providences and Angel's Landing is the capital of Carincal the Providence that sits at the center of the nation. Its also the largest city in Galendar, second only to one called Kevin's Watch which sits on one edge of the nation. At some point here I will get a map all put together for reference
He's not a true cleric, as in he's not part of any official holy order. He's just a worshiper who earned the God's favor along with his four companions through their dedication and accomplishments.
I can make smaller, less detailed sheets for the other Gold Knights if they ever appear on the scene.
Oh, didn't expect a comment so quickly! well, it'll be fine, i'll just search for some images n such edit: i'll look for an image for my characters facial appearance, and perhaps an Image for their armor, if that's doable? XD
Well, I don't know how important it is to the GM but they didn't seem overly concerned with getting the perfect pictures.
@HereComesTheSnow Need help finding a picture? It's bad to settle for something with a bunch of notes attached, because its hard for us other players to see the picture and make those mental edits.
Appearance: Abrasax stands at nearly eight feet tall, and has a broad frame wrapped in dense layers of muscle. He is an imposing warrior on the battlefield, or pedestrian walking down a busy street, particularly when considering his crimson skin and softly glowing blue eyes.
Age: 96
Race: Cambion
Personality: Despite his appearance, Abrasax is very patient and slow to anger, he is always willing to listen and speak before raising weapons if it is possible. Those who expect his kind to be creatures of evil and malace are confused when confronting Abrasax, for he has little interest in violence and worldly vices. He is soft-spoken, and very well-educated, and prefers reading books and observing the world over amassing wealth and power. Indeed, he carries a number of tomes with him wherever he happens to be, safely ensconced in the bag over his shoulder.
Biography: Abrasax was born in the far off city of Sidris bordering the deserts of Maltesh. His father was a pure-blooded demon, and his mother was a cambion made of demon and man. Despite the reputation of demons, they raised him as a family, teaching him that morality and ethics were a choice, not a result of blood. When he came of age he chose a life of adventure, having seen enough of Sidris' arid landscape. During his travels he learned how to fight by necessity, all the while gaining an appreciation for the diverse beauty of the world. It wasn't until he reached Eleleth, the city of knowledge, that he decided to settle once again. He spent years in that city, learning of the world, magic, and technology. He began to tinker with the latter two, and discovered a knack for arcane engineering.
As the years passed Abrasax became attached to Eleleth, viewing it as a second home, which is why when it was in danger he rose to its defense. In an attempt to force the city to yield to their demands, a rival city orchestrated the kidnapping of Aresia, the Princess of Eleleth. Abrasax became part of a group of five known as the Gold Knights who were formed to recapture the princess. They succeeded, and were rewarded by Orcorum with knowledge and favor, and by Eleleth with boons of their choice. This was where Abrasax got The Wind Scythe, a vessel capable of carrying him away from the earth and into the sky. With their mission complete, the Gold Knights disbanded and Abrasax let himself drift among the clouds in contentment for a long while.
He spent most of his recent years in seclusion, enjoying the beauty of the world and learning the scope of his own abilities. His vessel, the Wind Scythe, has allowed him to visit his family in Sidris and the city of Eleleth at his leisure. It is only within the last few months that he has become more interested in participating in the world once again, as he realizes the scope of his life will be vast and there is time for many things to occur. He has heard of a war brewing on the streets of Angel's Landing, where his skills might once again be put to the test.
Reason for Recruitment: "Life is too long to sail in the clouds for ever, so I will carry my name across this world on the wind." Abrasax, the Sky Demon
Strength of Will: Potent
Magic: Abrasax uses a combination of channeled magic and wild magic, depending on what he needs to accomplish. The wild magic is all of his own creation, and typically serves purposes he struggles to find in other sources. He specializes in Alchemy, Abjuration, and Conjuration.
Conjuration:
Angel of Knowledge: By the grace of Orcorum, Abrasax has been given leave to call forth an Angel of Knowledge. This being can only be summoned once every seven days, and will answer any one question that Abrasax is permitted to ask before dispersing.
Guardian of Knowledge: Under the gravest of circumstances, when a source of knowledge is being threatened, Orcorum will allow a Guardian to be summoned forth for its defense.
Abjuration:
Restore Knowledge: Through Orcorum, Abrasax can heal damaged memories and call upon the forgotten knowledge of others.
Conjuration:
Gold-Knight Armor: In times of need, Abrasax can summon the remaining pieces of his armor from the Wind Scythe, completing the suit.
Spirit of a Golden Knight: If they are willing, Abrasax can summon an avatar of one of his old companions to fight alongside him. However, he is also subject to this spell and can be summoned away if he is needed.
Alchemy:
Adept Transmutation: Abrasax is relatively skilled at reshaping substances, particularly for use in the creation of items and equipment or making repairs.
Abjuration:
Barrier Creation: Abrasax can make a magic shield by giving it specific commands, as long as they don't exceed the scope of his power. The commands control things like size, shape, location, and the level or type of protection.
God Relations: Abrasax is highly favored by Orcorum, the God of Knowledge, for his part in protecting the city of Eleleth.
Tech:
Gold-Knight Exosuit: The leg armor and bracers he is wearing in the image above, which are very durable and capable of augmenting his movement speed and agility.
Skin-Mesh: Abrasax feels comfortable not being fully armored because his skin has been augmented by magic and technology to effectively be armor.
Monomolecular Scythe: His weapon of choice, the scythe has a blade with a width of a single molecule making it capable of cutting most substances with ease.
The Wind Scythe (Not To Scale): A personal vehicle which is large enough for him to feel at home, though it gets crowded if there are more than a few people for too long. It's not just his transportation, but also his home. It's armed with a railgun, and is capable of achieving orbital flight which is where he feels most comfortable.
Possessions: His personal library consisting of tomes regarding everything from history, to mechanics, to arcane theory and more. All of the books are stored on the Wind Scythe.
Skills: Abrasax is a good fighter, and capable of impressive feats of strength, but he's better known as a thinker and protector of knowledge. He's skilled at tinkering with magical devices and making new ones of his own. He's also knowledgeable on magic theory, and the making of spells.
