Again I'm going to have to disagree with you on most of your points. But I'm going to have to stop you right there with this debate, I'm pretty sure Sam doesn't want this thread to turn into an argument about sexism

My biggest problem with the movie was the over sexualization of the female characters. Harley and Frost could have been powerful leads but both were reduced to romantic interest and sex objects for most of the story.

I don't mind sexual characters and I completely disagree with your notion on them being simply romantic interests, Killer Frost was not there just to be a sex object, she was there to help them break in arkham and she still kicked some ass and also kicked Boomer in the balls and made the ice pun which was hilarious. Harely was also vital in stopping the Joker's bomb and breaking in and out of Arkham. I have watched the movie many times and actually I think Black Spider and KGBeast got the short end of the stick, both of which were male characters. Also Killer Frost and King Shark had great chemistry together, not romantically but in mutual friendship like way.

Well they weren't just romantic interests, they were also sex objects. In the first scene Harley and Deadshot are together she's already hitting on him, it doesn't take long for her to proposition sex and then when he finally goes to bed at the Lounge, she's already in his room naked waiting for him. Overall, Harley is actual useless to the plot of the movie since if she hadn't been there, Joker wouldn't have been so interested in getting out and the bomb would have stayed in storage. Not to mention, they wouldn't have alerted Batman to their presence nor would they have had any difficulty with Penguin. Furthermore, Harley at the end of it all is reduced to an abused spouse torn between her 'husband' and 'lover'. Anytime the girls are used as distractions (I should also point out that only they get used as distractions), it generally required them to remove their clothes, case in point when they lured the guard down to the waterway where Shark jumped out and when they snuck Frost into Arkham. Both characters could easily have been replaced by a male character who likely would have been used in another way. Aside from explicitly exploiting the females' sexuality, there was no reason for either to be there. It's this kind of blatant sexism that gives comics a bad names. I just wish the movie had used its female characters a bit more progressively.

I really don't see how the story was tied down by the games at all. Aside from Bats and Joker's designs plus a few other endgame cameos there was no real tie to the game or its plots.

My mistake, what I should have said was that I think the fact that Batman had to feature in it in someway may have hindered it. I just feel like the Squad could have gone on a really big mission and would have had a better story if they didn't have to have the movie take place in Arkham. I hope the Suicide Squad live action movie has a bigger and better story.

Adam watched as Light assisted Dean with his troubles and Adam was wondering what to do next now that Ruby had gotten away and apparently was getting help from someone. He thought about his options, he could try and hunt her down alone or with his new allies, but that would mean rushing on ahead without a plan or knowledge what they might face, he didn't going ahead without a plan. Another option was that Adam could go to his father and talk to him about what to do next and if there was anything he could show him, but now that he had made a threat against his superiors he now was not in good favors with his benefactors. Then there was John, he would need to go and find him and Adam decided that it would be best if he did. He looked to his teammates and spoke to them calmly. "I need to go get an old friend who could help us, I will try to get back as soon as possible" Adam said to them and with those words he left for John's home. ---- John Morrison was sitting on a chair in his home while drank a beer in sadness. Today marked the day of Clare's death and his heart was still broken even after so long. He didn't know what to really do anymore, all he had done since she had died was fight, kill and wallow in his misery. His mutation had completed messed up his life and he couldn't walk around outside without someone giving him strange looks. He was an outcast in society and he had a few occasions contemplated ending his own life, but for some reason he refused to take that option. Maybe he felt it would too easy of way out and that he needed to pay for his failure in not being able to save his beloved wife. He was no longer John Morrison, he was only Mountain Lion.

Catman stayed close by the others wondering what they were planning and it was after a few minutes that he realized that if he wanted to get out of here then he would have to work with his so-called teammates even though he didn't like it. He threw a caterang at a guard which sliced the man in a throat. "I'm an excellent tracker, is there anything that you want me to do?" he asked the one eyed mercenary. He didn't like having to take orders from Deathstroke, but if meant getting out of this hellhole then Thomas was willing to listen.

I think the problems with the film mostly had to do with the fact that it was confined to the arkham universe, I think the story could have better if it wasn't tied down by the video games. Aside from the story I really enjoyed the movie, I thought the character dynamics were really great and Captain Boomerang was hilarious. But I really wished they didn't kill off KGBeast so early

His body is almost rugged as well as ripped which is a sign of many years of getting into intense physical fights with enemies. History: Thomas Blake was born in Chicago Illinois to an average family. from an early age he always had a love of cats of all sizes and getting a cat as a christmas present was one of the best gifts that had gotten for a long time. one might say that he acted like a cat sometimes and was really good at sneaking and climbing trees and walls. he also had a knack for getting into trouble such as stealing treats and minor trinkets. It was minor offenses but when he got caught, the owner of something he had stolen beat him up very badly and he had to go to the hospital. this experience made him feel more vulnerable and he started to train himself in martial arts to make himself feel safe and he started fighting at school and violently beating students that pissed him off. Eventually he was expelled and was given counseling. He decided that he would need to wait until he was an adult to let the beast out and then he wouldn't have any ties that would hold him down. Eventually his eighteenth birthday came and he went on a lone trip to the savannas of Africa where the great wildcats roamed free. he felt more at peace among the great open grasslands of the mysterious continent. But all this peace ended not too long after his arrival when he saw poachers slaughter an entire pride of lions just for their fur and he was filled with a terrible rage and mercilessly attacked and killed the poachers. from then on he was changed and he returned to the states and became a costumed criminal. his first hunting ground was Gotham city and he had regular violent encounters with Batman and the other vigilantes of the dark city. His skills made him very dangerous and racked up a profit in stealing great amounts of money and became very infamous for his vandalism when he became a mercenary for hire. Eventually he was taken down by a team effort of Batman and his bat family included a couple other vigilantes. He was sent to Belle Reve prison and was expected to spend most of life in the institution. But soon he was approached by Amanda Waller and became a member of the Suicide Squad. Powers/Abilities: Catman is an Olympic-level athlete and skilled hand-to-hand combatant, able to hold his own against some of the most proficient beings and fighters in the DC universe, including Bronze Tiger, Batman, and an actual lion. He is also one of the world's foremost hunters and trackers, possessing an extraordinary sense of smell.
