Its actually about 3 miles on completely "Flat" ground, LeeRoy.
I would absolutely always aim at someone's ankles.
I dislike fighting people who 'control elements'. They almost always pull shit like that. My roleplay experiences are embarrassing so I wont talk about them, but I've dealt with pretty much every terrible cliche there is. I loathe them :c
Definintely not a sadist, thanks. I don't particularly enjoy making people hurt. That's more LeeRoy's thing :U
I love people fighting with chains. Im not sure why, but it's always really appealed to me.
Agreed on the bullet topic. I've found that when using things that involve distance and any more time than say, 10 seconds, if there is a way for someone to dodge something, even if normal reaction times and physical abilities wouldn't be able to dodge it, who cares! Dodge anyway, because no one wants to take a bullet. That's just my experience, anyway
I disagree with that, honestly. It doesn't affect me either way, but I think they're not quite as obvious as you make them sound.
Manimals? I'd be down for that
“What in the world is going on?” Maxwell thought to himself, just a hint of grump in that thought. “When I signed up for this, I didn't really plan on having something like this happen to me.” He looks around, his eyes squinty, brow furrowed as he stares at his current surroundings. Maxwell is currently inside the portal. Now, Maxwell is just as tough as the, no. Wait, that's a load of shit. Maxwell is FAR tougher than any normal human being, he's tougher than any SUPER human being too. But still, being surrounded by a swirling vortex of gold, purple, and black energies is just *slightly* offputting, even for him. Should he touch it? Probably not. There are two possibilities. One: He absorbs the power of the Nexus and becomes a god. No more of this worshiping stuff that he has to go through (Not that he really minds). Two: The energy rips him apart molecule by molecule, leading to an indescribably painful death. Now, Maxwell admittedly isn't the smartest guy, but he's not dumb either by any means, and he has enough experience to know that touching it is probably a terrible idea. For now, he just holds himself stiff as a board, trying to stay away from the energy that seems to be creeping closer and closer. "I hope this doesn't spit me out anywhere that's a pain in the ass."

Well Maxwell, sorry, but you did not get your wish. As he nears the end of the portal, a high pitch noise begins to ring in his ears. "Whreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" Oh joy. "Stop that portal. I would absolutely punch you in the face, but I think that would kill me. I'm not going out that early." The portal quickly contracts, squeezing around his waist. "Wait what the hell, I was kidding! Let me go!" The portal squeezes tighter, then draws back, shooting Maxwell out of it like a freshly uncorked bottle of wine, complete with a *POP*.

"Well its nice to be out of-" Maxwell stops talking as he notices all of the blue around him, complete with a tinge of fluffy white. "Are those clouds? Yay." Maxwell's face goes completely stale, a look of complete seriousness upon it as his body snaps to rigid hardness as he begins to hurtle to the ground. Light as a feather, stiff as a board Maxwell, you know how this goes. It isn't the first time you've had to deal with horrible falls. He begins to fall faster and faster, approaching speeds that no human should hit just from falling. Then, all of a sudden, BOOM. He slams back first into something hard. And metally. Also very hard.

Sitting in his two foot dent, Maxwell groans. "Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhng. That hurt." Maxwell is a tough dude, but even he's allowed to groan after slamming into a metallic object at 160 mph. It turns out this object was LeeRoy's ship, and Maxwell landed square on the back of it, with all his weight and speed. This undoubtedly actually helped to level the ship and perhaps stop it from crashing.
"Uh yeah, I think they do. I've never actually been afraid of spiders." He chuckles slightly, his breath crystallizing the air in front of him, snowflakes falling down about a foot out. His eyes begin to glow a bright blue. "That's irony for you. Of all the things we could have been sent to, it's spider world. The one thing I'm not super scared of. Never really got many spiders in Russia." He rolls the sleeves of his thick coat up, his already pale skin beginning to turn a light blue, the hairs on his arm icing over as a sheen of ice began to cover both arms. "Especially no spiders like this. Spiders always hated me." The ice on his arms take form, shaping into a thick chain made out of the most blue crystal ice you've ever seen. "Yeah, whenever spiders got near me, they'd always do two things, curl up and freeze to death, or turn around and high tail it out of there." The chains begin to ravel around each of his arms entirely, covering them in a thick wrapping of chain, probably adding up to at least 40 feet of chain around each arm. On the end of each chain is a three pronged trident made out of ice, which he is currently holding in his hands. The prongs on the harpoon are one foot long and razor sharp, more than enough to really stick in the flesh of something. And at negative four hundred twenty degrees, which is how cold Kholodny makes his weapons, getting a harpoon stuck in you is pretty much game-over.

"I'd be careful if I were you Keezi, there's a winter storm warning in effect for everything around me right now." He laughs heartily, shaking his head at his own terrible joke. Man, this is rather unlike him, being all courageous and whatnot. Well, truth be told, as soon as he saw that monster, he let Stribog meld with him, at 50 percent capacity. That's why his eyes started glowing. He was being serious when he said he's not afraid of spiders, but that thing is more than just a spider. That thing is way more than a spider. He's not about fighting something like that, but let's look at the options. Option One: Kholodny runs, so he is now alone and just as likely to run into something like that, but now by himself. Hmm, not so great. Option Two: He grabs Keezi and pulls her into the cave to run. Yeah no, not gonna happen. Option Three: Kill it. Welp, looks like that's pretty much the only option available to him right now. And with Stribog's help and courage, it actually feels pretty plausible. Plus this way, if he dies, at least he'll have a death buddy.
