Okay so I had to go to work, and this is kind of an old point now, but would anyone actually know how to calculate the force of a punch? I'd like to know how hard Maxwell can actually hit.
Yeah, I agree with Nobody there. I understand it SHOULD be able to lift it's own weight, but at that point, it now has nuclear missiles, lasers, an unbreakable shell, AND the ability to lift twenty five HUNDRED tons, 25 times more than another high tier who TOPS the strength requirement. So something has to give with characters who can lift top the strength limits and then also do other incredibly powerful things.
I'm fine either way with not buffing, after I thought about Maxwell's capacities. Buffing his strength in any way would be OP as hell.
I mean, do we really need reasons to NOT treat someone like an asshole in the first place? Im gonna sound like the stereotypical "But lets all be friends" but if we treated each other just a little nicer sometimes in here, a lot of arguments couldve been avoided in the first place.
Yeah, I dont feel keen on dropping Maxwell either. I think that a lot of the problems that arise could be solved by being a bit more levelheaded than we seem to have a tendency to be.
I don't understand what dropping the high tier would do. The only people high tiers fight are other high tiers, and the same problems would arise between intermediate and low tier characters anyway. The problems are caused by a difference in what people find is meta gamey or OP, and that wouldn't be fixed by forcing people to just straight up get rid of some of their characters.
As someone who's been in here the whole time, and seen all the original posts, I'm gonna side with Yoshua on this one. The question was worded ambiguously, and he's been trying to say the whole time that he didn't mean he was Level Nine, just on the end of what is actually allowed in here, which I wouldn't know either way considering his character sheet hasn't even been reviewed yet.
Yeah, Schradinger and I stand on the same page on this issue.
Yeah, honestly your best bet is to go ahead post in the CS, LeeRoy and others will take a look at it, then give you reviews of it.

You could just do what I did and make a character without being unintentionally influenced by the power levels of other people's characters. You do this simply by not reading other people's power listings.

I generally try to do that, but I guess there's an underlying paranoia that there'll be a character I don't stand a chance against or something? So I try to make characters I know won't get flat out crushed, but also won't do flat out crushing either. So it's as fair as possible.
