Alright guys, I've posted a short opening post to get you guys started, but I would wait for me to post my first two posts with my characters to give you guys a better understanding on the environment and everything. These posts will be a lot longer than normal as they are the introductions, and they should shorten up a bit as we move on.
Opening Post

Knights: You find yourself arriving at a small wooden dock at the edge of the isle of Ekilore. There are no villages or towns, nor are there inhabitants or animals. There is only a small dock where your ship arrives and the Tower of Oculus. The Tower itself stands at an immeasurable height, ascending deep into the clouds. It is one of the great wonders of the world, having stood for as long as civilization existed, with myths and legends of Old Aerion describing its ornate design in great detail. It's white-silver marble craftsmanship being the envy of many masons. It's sky stabbing height is legendary. It is said that no matter where one stood, the grand tower could be seen. Upon the tower also is seen the insignia of the monks of Ekilore:

Your opening post should include any detail you want to provide about your journey to Ekilore, and your arrival. You will proceed on your own through the tower, where you will wait at the top to be summoned into the monks’ dwelling.

Mercenaries: As a mercenary, your group has recently accepted a contract to eliminate a group of orcs who were rampaging through a village on the outskirts of Dalenham, Ethora. The village, known as Sabamin, consisted no more than a few dozen homes made of wood, standing close by each other. Successful in your contract, your group decides to meet at the tavern in Dalenham known as the “Broken Keg” for a celebratory drink and the splitting of the shares of the contract.
@Inuyasha@Archangel89I could let you guys work it out if you want, but thanks for your interest! Let me know if you have any questions at all.

@SedjwickGreat character choice! He’s accepted, go ahead and add him to the characters tab.

Okay, looks like we have a solid group to start with. More people are more than welcome to apply and finish off their characters if they're still working on it, but I’m going to start working on the IC!
@Cyrania I was just making a random bartender, but if you want you could fit that role to introduce out characters. Up to you how you guys wanna bring your characters in.
@Ryteb Pymeroce LOL at "Seemed like a background character if anything."
@Archangel89 You don't have to. You could always use existing Houses, like Hawke or Highborn in Falke, or Reigncliff, Taimor, Crosland, Larson, Welm and Morok in Ethora. Or if you'd like, you don't necessarily have to be from a noble family or from a "House" necessarily. The monks have chosen these "knights" because they are either famous, well-respected, skilled, or all of the above. If you character is generally well-regarded, famous, or very skilled in what they do, that could be enough to attract the attention of the monks. So low-born people are also likely to be called.

So really it's up to you. If you do decide to use an existing house, let me know and I can provide you with some more information on them. But also feel free to make up your own background about them too, as long as they don't interfere with anything established.

@Sedjwick It doesn't include your character. I'm only going by those approved. So I included my own two, Drostan Welm, Kace, and Ashe. I think there's a few others potentially working on characters too. Looking forward to yours!
@Archangel89 Works for me! Again lemme know if you need any guidance or help

THE ETERNAL STRUGGLE

Prince Erik Reighn - Dawn, Miricia

Dawn. Once dubbed the "Future of Karula." Now, it was the center of strife between the beorc and laguz. Jacob III was locking down on everything laguz related. Laguz weren't allowed to roam on their own. Laguz weren't allowed to go into certain areas of the city. Laguz weren't allowed to hide the fact that they were laguz. These anti-laguz laws were becoming dictatorial, and the laguz citizens of Dawn were becoming sick of it. Many tried to leave Dawn, while others would argue, even fight back. The tension was slowly spiraling, and any small thing could set it off.

Tragic as the situation was in Dawn, Prince Erik came here for another reason. King Jacob II was his friend. He may have been almost a decade older than Erik, but he was a good person and a kind king. Erik didn't have any idea who could have been behind his assassination. Maybe it was the laguz, and everything Jacob III was doing was justified. Maybe it was fanatics. Erik didn't know, but Erik also didn't care. All he knew was that he would find out and bring justice to his departed friend.

Impatient as ever, Erik headed into the main town square. "Oi! Erik, wait a second!" His bodyguard, a large Knight named Gregory, called out behind him. "Can't you rest for a second? We've been traveling for eighteen days!"

"The sooner I meet with the rest of the emissaries and we get going, the better," Erik replied as he looked around for his destination. The group was supposed to meet at a tavern called the "Dancing Dragon." There, they were said to meet with Reginald, Captain of Royal Guards to King Jacob III, who would take them into the castle to talk with the King and find out more about what was going on.

"We've could take a quick... a drink!" Gregory shouted as he pointed to the Dancing Dragon. "Ah, how I'd fancy a nice big mug of ale, ah... my prince?" He watched as Erik stormed toward the tavern.

"It's where we're supposed to go anyway, that's where everyone's meeting," Erik explained.

"Ah.. well good timing, then! I'm parched!" Gregory and Erik together walked to the large tavern and entered it. Inside, many different people were gathered, eating food, drinking merrily. The two knights got themselves a larger table which could fit up to ten seats. "One of the big ones for me!" Gregory asked of the bartender as he ordered a large mug for himself. Erik spoke to no one, instead impatiently tapping his foot as he awaited others to arrive, or make their presence known. He scanned the room, noticing a very much lack of laguz inside the bar. He then saw a sign above the bartender, reading: "We don't serve beasts or birds!"

Erik scoffed. The racism and bigotry was disconcerting. But he had more pressing issues at the moment. The prince felt a bit guilty not acknowledging all of the problems at Dawn. However, when his mind was set on something, there was little else to be done.
@Ryteb Pymeroce Nice, your character is accepted! You ahead and post him in the character thread.

And now since we have three, I can get started on the opening post!
@Archangel89Yes, absolutely, feel free to apply. Let me know if you have any questions about anything. Are you planning on being a Knight or a Merc?
