I was actually thinking a combination of Asari and Prothean from Mass Effect, but I guess it is the same sort of thing as the Vulcan mind meld. It's probably what inspired the idea in the first place.

As for how elves would go about making physical contact, I'd say it'd be more like how the gelflings do it in the Dark Crystal. Just holding hands, sometimes in a circle if more than 2 people are involved. At least, that's how it would normally go, I think. No hard and fast rules about it, just like irl. Sometimes we shake hands, sometimes it's a fist bump, or even touching elbows ever since covid hit. Whatever works.
I knew I said I'd be concise, but I think I got a bit carried away once the ball started rolling... Well anyways, guess I'll be working on nations now, starting with Avalan. Next up, Norsinia.
3 months ago! It's really been that long... Well, all I can say is that I hope it'll be worth the wait. As much as I'd like to get things started already though, you are absolutely right @Th3King0fChaos.

I'm sorry @ningal700, but it looks like it'll take just a little bit longer for the roleplay to begin. I'll try to keep things concise, but I do not blame you one bit if you're no longer available or interested in participating.

That said however, I'm determined to at least get this whole thing off the ground before deciding to throw in the towel, which I've actually considered doing many times over the past 3 (3!) months, but no more. I've finally made my decision and I'm sticking to it.

Well anyways, I better get started.
@Omni5876 But of course! And as always, your company is greatly appreciated.

So general notice, I've finished with the beastfolk and added a bit more info for the elves as well as the names of different racial abilities. While I was writing however, I realized that I haven't given that much info on the Dragonier, nations or religions of Tirn. Maybe I can sprinkle those details throughout the roleplay, but I also feel like it's necessary info for fleshing out our characters. What do you guys think? Start the roleplay already or iron out those details first?
Yes.
Done with the dwarves, next up is the beastfolk and I think after that, we'll at long last be ready to start. Hope that'll be soon enough, @ningal700.
Finally done for the orcs. Sure took a while, eh? My only excuse is I started playing Skyrim again and as it turns out, it's just as addictive as the last time I played. I'll understand if everyone has lost interest in this roleplay by now, honestly I did too for a bit, but I'm back now and set on getting this thing done. Anyways, next up: dwarves.

And to answer your questions, @Omni5876

how much of the Elven population is still remaining after the Fall of Avalan? Also, is their ruling body still alive or are they following their own Families or clans?

Overall? I'd say about less than 100,000. Not in danger of going extinct, but getting there. The rulership of Avalan is no more, so whoever made it out would indeed only have their families and clans to look to. If they're not slaves, they're refugees and with your character being a noble, I'd imagine he'd have lost quite a bit after the fall.
Sure took a while (work again), but that's it for elves. Next up, orcs.
@Omni5876 I do indeed do discord, I'll send you my user id as soon as I can and thanks for the kind words. It really means a lot to me.

Anyways, races have been updated. Just humans for now, will work through the rest as I go along. Might need to clarify a few things for magic while I'm at it.
@Omni5876

Sorry for the delayed response. Came down with a really bad case of food poisoning a couple of a few days ago and before that, work was taking up most of my time. Things seem to be calming down though, so I can return my focus back here.

To answer your questions, dragons will certainly be smart and have their own personalities, but only in the same way horses or dogs do. That is to say, they're animals. They'd make great listeners, but they communicate with noises and body language, so don't expect a conversation out of them. They are however, like elves, born with mana by default so yes, their breath attacks will be magic in nature.
