Real Name:
Dmitri Perklov
Alias:
Red Hawk (official), The Great Patriot (common nickname)
Speech Color: #ff001a
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity:
Known only to the scientists who gave him his powers and high government officials.
Character Personality: Dmitri, while a headstrong man, is mostly a fun-loving, kind individual. He has accepted that he will likely die an early death in war (maybe even this one), so he has resolved to pack as much fun and pleasure into his life as possible. Love is his favorite emotion and one he likes to indulge in frequently. Make no mistake, though, he takes his duty to his country very seriously. Regardless of his personal feelings on the matter, he will complete his mission with an unflinching hand. Though he might need a drink afterwards. Communism isn't something he feels very strongly about, but he doesn't oppose the system and notes that it is better than most other forms of governing on the planet. On the subject of religion, he doesn't nail down a label, but his beliefs fit mostly with Agnostic Deism. He believes that there might be a god, but he doesn't believe in any god in particular and he certainly does not believe in a personal god.
Character Age/Birthday: October 21st, 1917 (24)
Uniform: Dmitri's uniform consists of a black leather military blazer trimmed in red with one big, red star on the right shoulder. On the left breast is the hammer and sickle insignia of the Soviet Union. He also wears a pair of black military pants with a big red star on the left leg and a black leather belt.
Origin: Dmitri Perklov was born into a poor family of farmers during the tail end of the first World War. Losing both of his parents to illness early on in his life, he was sent to an orphanage in Moscow. He was very unhappy there as he was often teased by the other children for his outgoing personality that bordered on the weird. However, in his late teenage years, he found a way to escape this hell; the military. As soon as he was able, he packed his bags and began his career as a soldier. He excelled in his training, so much in fact that he was recommended for the Soviet Union's top secret Super Soldier program. Beating out 150 other candidates, he received a highly experimental chemical treatment that drastically improved his human capabilities. He was touted by the Soviet Union as "the soldier of the future." He enjoyed celebrity status from the many propaganda films he took part in, but none of that really mattered to him. All that mattered was that he finally had a purpose.

Dmitri looked down on the German soldiers in the streets of Stalingrad. This was the home of his dear Isabella, and he was sorry to see it in such a war torn state. His mission was to loosen the Nazis' grip on the city by taking out one of their commanders, one Erich von Manstein. He had never seen the man in person before, just a blurry black and white photograph, which he now had next to his prone body in the bell tower. Once held by the Nazis, Dmitri managed to dispatch the two guards they had stationed here with ease, and even relieved one of them of their Mauser Kar 98 rifle that was fitted with a lovely scope. Dmitri could certainly take the target out in melee if he got the jump on the station, but simply shooting him from afar seemed the most practical course of action. Joining him was a lookout by the name of Ivan. "I see the target." Dmitri said, focusing on Commander Manstein with his scope.
"Wonderful. Just shoot the Nazi bastard so we can go home." Dmitri kept the aim on the Commander. He was speaking to a German soldier. Judging by their uniform, they were likely lower in rank. He wanted to avoid killing the guy if at all possible. He likely had a family he wanted to return home to as well. Maybe even a girlfriend or wife. Besides, this lowly German soldier wasn't his target. He wanted to try to minimize casualties outside of the Commander, so he spent a little bit of extra time planning an escape route.
"Patience, comrade. Patience. If I do a job, I do it correctly. If I make a mistake, it could cost you your life." Ivan rolled his eyes at this assertion.
"Really now? Cost me my life? And how are you not included in that?" Ivan knew what Dmitri's response would be, but he just decided to let the guy indulge in his ego for a bit. He was the Great Patriot after all. It wasn't like he didn't have a reason not to have a big ego. In truth, Dmitri knew that Ivan knew the answer as well.
"I'd think it pretty obvious." Dmitri turned his attention away from the scope to wink at Ivan. When he got his escape route figured out, he peered through the scope again and took aim at the Commander. "Hail Mother Russia." He whispered. Then, he squeezed the trigger.
