Added a reference in my sample post to The Great Patriot.

Pretty cool, man. ^^

Finished up my sample post, so that finishes my sheet. Hope it's up to snuff.
So um, anybody else gonna make a character? Also, I'm going away around 2:30 EST tomorrow, won't be back till Wednesday. Shouldn't be a huge issue.

I'm almost done with mine. Just need to finish my sample post. It's late though, so i'm going to do that tomorrow.
Edited my post with the result of my check. I also replaced "You have nothing to fear from me if you oppose law and order" with "You have nothing to fear from me unless you oppose law and order." I wasn't running on much sleep yesterday. xD
Alright! No problems that I can see, so you're accepted. ^^ Post your sheet in the "Characters" tab at your leisure.
@Theorist

Alright! Added another Focus!

Also, do we include the goals and personality somewhere, or do we just leave that to when we start?

Oh, I meant that you actually have too many benefits. xD I see you have three ability score increases that you listed as being from your Human Benefit list.

As for the goals and personality, you can pen that in wherever you like. ^^
@OtomostheCrazy

Okay, looks good save for just one problem; when selecting a Human benefit, you get 3 advancements to spend on benefits. I should just call them points, but the book calls them advancements. I think just to make things a little less confusing, I will just call them points.

So, when selecting the benefit for your background, you get 3 points to spend. If you want a language (if applicable. It's not in the case of a Human Apostate), those cost just one point apiece. But if you want an ability advancement, say +1 Constitution, for example, that costs 2 points. So, you can have an ability advancement and a focus, or 3 focuses. ^^ So, yeah, just fix that one problem and your sheet is good.
@HipsterCool, accepted. ^^
@Theorist yeah, just 1 question. how to I find out how much spellpower my character has?.

10 + Your Magic. ^^
@Hipster

Don't worry about being new. ^^ I have an infinite amount of patience for people new to this sort of thing. I was there too, once, not long ago.

Just one more thing, though. Your Mana was right to begin with. 18 seems reasonable, as it is 10 + Magic + 1d6. Spellpower in Dragon Age is basically how powerful your spells are. Translated into rules terms, when someone tries to resist a spell of yours, they have to make a check (the specific ability used depends on the spell. It'll say in the spell description) and they have to roll equal to or greater than your Spellpower. You can find the actual field for this right under your Defense.

So yeah, just that one thing and you're good!
Also, a note to everyone, i've decided to have dice-rolling be an honor system, so until I see a reason to stop, you can do your own dice rolls. I'll be rolling saving throws and such so I don't have to wait for everyone to roll before I can go on with the narrative. When announcing your result, be sure to list your Dragon Die result as well.

@Hipster, there are a few problems with your sheet, but don't worry. ^^ We'll get 'em worked out.

-First, the correct spelling is "Apostate", like the real world definition of someone who leaves their religion. I hate getting onto people for spelling, but I just figured i'd let you know, as the concept of Apostates is pretty important in the Dragon Age universe. xD

-Your starting health is actually 20 + Constitution + 6. Normally, it is 20 + Constitution + 1d6, but I decided to have everyone start out with max HP, so I just put "+6."

-I noticed you have light leather armor, so I just wanted to remind you that light leather armor gives you a Strain of 1, meaning your spells cost 1MP extra to activate.

-Your Spellpower is 10 + your Magic, so it would be 13.

-I'm also kind of having trouble counting up your ability scores to make sure no mistakes were made. I think I get what the problem is though. You have your Constitution listed as 6, but I think I confused you with the Starting Health thing. That's the only thing I can figure. If your Constitution is 0, you are one point over your limit of 10.

-You also have some focuses from the Apostate Elf background benefits. (Bows and Stealth) Also, what did you get the Initiative focus from? I can't see it in either of the benefits lists.

-Your Wand is used to cast Arcane Lance, which should be in your Weapons section as a ranged weapon with an attack bonus of + Magic and a damage of 1d6 + Magic. The range on that is 16 yards, but we'll be using ranges as guidelines mostly.

-Chirurgy is a Talent, not a focus. You begin as a Novice in it. ^^

-You still have three spells that you can select from Set 1.

And that's all. ^^ Fix those and you're good.
