Okay, I have to ask - have you been playing a lot of Dominions? Because I have been playing a shitload of Dominions lately, and I can't help but notice a lot of similar themes/locations (Atlantis, Lemuria.) Might just be my imagination.

Like, ninety-nine percent of the population has died. There's probably enough canned food to last six people for the rest of their lives in like, one suburban town (especially given how drastically their life expectancies have been reduced). I doubt food'll be a problem as long as we don't end up besieged, which is an admittedly likely situation.
Oops, just realized I referenced a zombie sprinting in my post, when I don't actually know if they do that in this RP. Do I need to change that, or is it kosher?
As a new day dawned on the survivor's encampment, the early morning peace and quiet was broken, as it always was, by the sound of claps and grunted numbers.

"Forty-eight..." Nick breathed as he pushed his body off the dirt, quickly bringing his hands up to clap beneath him, then throwing them out to catch his fall. "Forty-nine... fifty." The bare-chested man sat in the dirt, sweat dripping down his face, forcing air into his lungs with every breath. It had to be said that at least as far as motivation to stay in shape went, the apocalypse beat the absolute hell out of a new-years resolution. There was no place for cubicle mice in the new world, Nick had realized early on - if you wanted to have any damn fun with this shit at all, you had to be strong; which is why he began every morning at the crack of dawn with a routine of push-ups, sit-ups, and jump-roping. Well, that and the fact that there was often little else to do.

Bored, Nick rose to his feet and brushed the dirt off his track pants. Casually, he reached into his tent and produced his current weapon of choice. He went through weapons fairly quickly, either due to them breaking or just getting bored with them, but the well-sharpened fire axe he'd taken to keeping under his pillow had yet to disappoint.

The shirtless man began spinning the weapon around with obvious irreverence for its sharpness, testing the weight and feel of it and discovering that it was, in fact, exactly the same as when he'd put it down last night. His stance shifted and he began to swing the weapon, spinning it in wide arcs and doing battle with a host of imaginary undead. Boredom. It'd been two days since his last zombie kill, and even that hadn't been a good one - just one single swing right to the neck as it sprinted at him. The body hadn't even skidded very far! Nick was getting antsy - he needed something to get his blood pumping again.

Resting the weapon on his shoulder, Nick padded off to where Anastasia was sitting with Lara. "Morning," he said, giving the girls a broad smile. "Hope everybody slept well, sweet dreams and everything. You got anything out there for me?" The man yawned and gestured casually to the woods with his axe.

I'll post it right now if everyone is ready. @ChronoBovino you can swear all you like. By Guild rules of course

I'm ready if y'all are.
Use my character as zombie bait! He'll thank you!

So, um... no ruch, but I think we have a comfortable cast. When are we getting started?

"I love my job!" - Nick, on the prospect of facing a horde of zombies with a meat cleaver.
"Oh my god. You're enjoying this." - Someone else, in response to the above.
Name: Nick Eisenoff
Age: 28
Sexual orientation: Heterosexual

Allergies: Steak rub makes him hive up.
Scars/Tattoos: None, really.
Old Injuries: The only really relevant things are the ones that still effect how they move and function now.
Height/Weight: 5'9" and 170 pounds.
Health Conditions: In good physical condition. Hasn't found a psychiatrist to diagnose him yet, but he loves killing zombies way more than a normal person.

Skills: Melee combat and improvising weapons. He can't shoot worth a damn and has minimal survival skills, but he can massacre zombies with almost anything.
Hobbies: Pursuing ever more hilarious and creative zombie kills. Also baseball and Legos.
Fears: Spiders, dentists and heights. Shows an unhealthy lack of fear about the actual apocalypse.
Strengths: Defense and crowd control. Also good at intimidating / beating the bejeezus out of unfriendly survivors.
Weaknesses: Terrible aim, reckless and impulsive behavior, a tendency to take big risks, and generally showing very little survival instinct.

Personality: Nick is friendly, boisterous, and violently off his rocker. He wouldn't hurt a fly in normal circumstances, but he absolutely loves showering violence on the living dead - or anyone who proves themselves to be threats to his friends. He loves people and is deeply loyal to his friends, as well as having a penchant for corny jokes and laughing a lot (some times about rather ghastly subjects). Call it madness or bravery, he isn't letting the end of the world get him down - he's having as much fun with it as possible.

Biography: Nick is a man who's lost a lot. He was born and raised in a city in a fairly normal middle class childhood - he studied business in college and managed to land himself a fairly comfortable middle class job. He lived with his pregnant girlfriend Karen in a pretty nice apartment and was happy for a while.

Then the end of the world began. His parents lived in the first place the infection hit the United States - he lost contact with them immediately after the military attempted a quarantine. His brother, a marine, was KIA when the same quarantine broke. Before long the living dead were crawling through the streets and breaking into his apartment, and he was forced to mercy kill Karen after she was bitten. After that he wandered off into the streets and eventually linked up with the survivors, a significantly more unhinged man.
My two cents on the advanced/casual thing: I prefer advanced RP generally, as I rarely have trouble writing a decent amount and I much prefer better description and character development and yadda yadda yadda (the principle reason my CS is sparse in backstory/personality is that I prefer to discover characters in RP - I'll figure out how he acts, but those are my guidelines).

The main reason I tend to stay on the casual side is because posts tend to come much faster here and RPs are less prone to crib death - oftentimes I'll really like the idea of an Advanced RP, but it'll take everyone a week to fill out the massive character sheets and they'll never get off the ground.

So... high-casual stuff like this is ideal for me, I'd say.
Oh, I should also ask what zombie 'rules' we're using for this setting. Like, do they run, do they require headshots to kill, how does infection work, and so on?
It will be fun, cause honestly I doubt most of our characters could even stand the rest. Other than the lone female, she'll be the only one any of us likes. How's it feel to be the lynch pin @lostdestiny

@Simple Unicycle

Hey, I'll have you know Nick is going to try and get along with everyone. He loves people, just sometimes weirds them out.
