@Sisyphus I think that's a really good idea. Though at the moment, Auley won't be too involved in the story.

@Emma@Sterling I do believe those two have dropped out, so it's an even number right now. We may have to do a slight rearranging of the pairs. It's fine if you take your time Emma, deyinger will be gone for the week, so as long as you tell us before hand we won't count you out just yet.

@Tackytaff Their duties would likely be confined to the city, so at the very least it's not a priority as there's criminals operating closer to home to look out for. However, if they were fencing stolen goods in the Royal City itself, it would maybe be something to stamp down on, and even something for actual-terrible-guardsman Faolán to be involved in.

...which might also be of interest to @Thorn, too. What if, in the run up to the Festival, there was an effort to crack down on all this Definitely Illegal Activity? I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but there could definitely be a side-plot around here somewhere, assuming the characters aren't all busy finding their One True Heterosexual Love and making out in broom closets.

As for relationships, how would you feel if Rhys had some prior contact with Rhea. Wouldn't even have to be in person, as she doesn't visit the city much, but could be a fence for some of her goods?

And yeah that sounds awesome! I was thinking that having a sort of network for rogues could be fun; they could exchange goods and materials, keep an eye on each other's back and then betray and backstab them and generally cause mischief while stealing stuff together.

I guess if we are talking in terms of Destined shipping, I see Rhoslyn with Rhys the most. Plus I also think it's kind of funny that they're names are so similar. Rhys Howell, Rhoslyn Lovell. Rhys and Rhos. I'm a sucker for alliteration.

That makes creating shipping names so much more difficult though! Rhyslyn? Hovell? Lowell? I suppose if they have a child it'll be imperative that their kid's name also start with an Rh to keep up the family tradition.

Besides, it's more fun to end up with a tragic romance story choice between Ultimate Power and Twu Wuv.

I agree wholeheartedly — who needs a happy romance when they can suffer for it? Soulmate roleplays have so much opportunity for inner turmoil...

I'm curious, what does everyone look for in characters when you ship them? Similarities? Differences? General dynamic?

Also if anyone has relationship ideas, please hit me up :) I love discussing them. I have a couple myself and I may have to tag some people eventually.

Changed Rhys' magic to Lightning with the permission of the GMs, and I also added/rewrote some things to add more detail. Still not completely satisfied so while I'll probably be rewriting a bit more in the coming days, it would be great if you guys could give him another read over!

Important Announcement!

Hey everyone! We just wanted to again thank everyone for all the interest! We’re so excited for this RP to get started! A lot of people have been submitting characters and we ask that you all have patience as we try our best to look them all over!

Concerning the incoming characters, we’ve been receiving a lot of female characters lately but we still need male characters! We would greatly appreciate it if anyone still brainstorming could make their character male. We are still accepting female characters if you really want to make a girl, so don’t worry! Unless the ratio starts to become even again, we might have to make female characters unavailable in the future. We also greatly encourage any of you to make a second character! Thank you all so much for your patience and understanding! I hope you all have a great Fourth of July (if you celebrate that is)! :D
