Definitely sounds interesting.
I'll toss in an interest.

@Leos Klien Let's just say that I have enough problems in my personal life WITHOUT worrying about how somebody might screw up the planet :)
Best of luck to you folks. Let me know how it turns out.
Shade

Pleased, Razor screeched and bounded off through the trees, stopping every couple hundred feet to hang from a branch and make sure that they were following. Gradually, he led them in an easterly curve, ignoring the gunshots and the roar of the flames behind them. The forest growth became denser, sloping downhill for a bit before evening out.

When they crossed a small creek, and the fire was nothing but a large plume of smoke rising up over the trees, the Sneasel suddenly dropped out of the trees, screeching at them. Creating a pair of Ice Shards in his hands, he planted them in the ground, and began leading them personally along a weaving path, no longer rushing like before but still urgent. Every so often he would plant another small Ice Shard in the ground, hissing and waving them away from it.

After a short while, he clambered back up a tree, pointed ahead of them and gave a short screech before hurrying back the way they had come.

At the bottom of the ravine, Shade was finishing up packing her things. The clatter of rocks behind her made her seize her rifle and whirl around, but she relaxed slightly when saw the Electabuzz and pair of humans. ”Didn’t fall in. Good.”

Working on a post today.
Paulina Benson

The sharp glare that Paulina sent Alister's way said volumes of how she felt about his outburst, and she laid a protective arm around Ashleigh's shoulder. That arm tightened in response to her friend's increasing distress, and when she made her own sudden exclamation Paulina shifted her chair over and pulled the girl's head to her shoulder, stroking her hair reassuringly. ”Shh, you’re okay. You’re alright,” she murmured, before turning her attention back to Liam.

His revelation about the Outsiders was of particular interest to her. The name itself implied that they possessed a quality suggesting that they came from "elsewhere" for lack of a better term; that whatever they were, they were quite alien to everything else. The fact that they could possess people was particularly concerning. However, there was one point that she needed clarified. "Everything you said up until the Outsiders bit, I kinda figured was the case. An accident that snowballed. Okay, moving on. Quick question about these Outsider thingies: can they possess anyone, or do you think it happened just because of your powers?" She'd file away the comment about his family for another time.

@Caits Do you mind if I ask what happened to the emotions that Ashleigh was feeling?
Kirsta looked up from beneath her blanket as the dungeon door squealed open. She’d been thrown in here a few days before, still in her dress that she’d had when the Royal Guard had come to “escort” her. Since then, she’d had nothing but the torches for company. Now, it seemed, she was finally going to have someone new with her.

If he weren’t so scuffed up, she might have described the newcomer as almost handsome. He had the sort of build that suggested a great deal of physical labour in the sun, definitely not from the city. Probably from some nameless village she didn’t know. Maybe he thought that it would be a great honor to be Chosen. Maybe the poor boy would be a blubbering mess after being taken from his home. Whatever the case, the sucker was lust as screwed as she was now.

But, that was no reason not to make use of the situation given to her. Flipping aside the sack that had served as a blanket, she adopted an innocent air as she made her way to the man’s side. “Um, are you okay?” she asked with a nervous falsetto. It was easy to lure in men by acting weak and frightened.
